Nintendo announced that they will ship more SNES Classics on launch day 9/29 than they shipped NES Classics all of last year. They also said that the SNES will continue to ship regularly into 2018. Shipments were originally to cease at the end of 2017. And if you didn't get a NES Classic, they are planning on re-releasing it next summer.

So whenever I find one and the cashier tries to apply sales tax, I am gonna hand em an eighty dollar bill and refuse to pay a penny more.

Gotcha. So whenever I find one and the cashier tries to apply sales tax, I am gonna hand em an eighty dollar bill and refuse to pay a penny more. No plastic bag either, you hand them the eighty then just take the box and nod in acceptance as you walk away with it.

I haven't played my Switch in about a month and a half. Contemplating selling it and just getting an Xbox One X and a 4K TV instead. Can't believe the lackluster selection of Nintendo and Triple A titles on the console currently.

Third parties were taking a wait and see approach before committing to software. Even when they do start supporting it, games like COD, Assassin's Creed, Destiny, etc couldn't run on the Switch without being scaled down considerably. That said, I think there's been a lot of quality titles over the past six months like BOTW, MK8, Splatoon 2, Sonic Mania, Mario + Rabbids, Arms, and Minecraft. Mario Odyssey, Pokken, Xenoblade, NBA 2K, FIFA, WWE 2K, Skyrim, and Sonic Forces are all scheduled to be released by the end of the year.

Most of the games in the e-shop are 4-5 year old pc indie games. I fully expected them to have a whole back-catalog of Mario games and whatnot. But nope. And out of the games you listed, most of those are games that I'd play on my Xbox with my friends, or have already played like Skyrim and Minecraft. Mario Odyssey is the last hope, if I don't enjoy that the console gets sold.

Got an Xbox One already, my mates got One's too. And the exclusive titles on PS4 don't interest me as much as say Forza does.

Odyssey and possibly Metroid 4 are what I'm hanging on to it for. My Switch has a thick layer of dust on it right now, kinda sad. Not how I expected it to be.

Once their online system officially launches I believe they mentioned games like SNES Mario Kart with online capabilities. But this system will never be able to give you what XBone and PS4 can. Its gonna be a system to play first party, a handful of 3rd party, indie, and classic titles at home or on the go.

If you bought a Switch expecting to get anywhere close to a PS4 or XBox One experience you bought it for the wrong reason. I bought the Switch because I like what Nintendo is about and their first party games are always going to be my favourite games in a calendar year. Add on top of that They're coming out with some games that I've only ever dreamed of being able to play on a handheld like Skyrim and the newest WWE games and you have a scenario where I've been getting a lot from the Switch. Pretty much everything that comes out on the Switch and other consoles I've been getting for the Switch. Bought Sonic Mania for the Switch, preordered NBA 2K18 and WWE 2K18 for the Switch (though also getting WWE for PS4 because of the deluxe). Looking forward to having a full featured Skyrim and LA Noire to take on the road with me.

Anyone pick up Metroid? I haven't played my 3DS since Shovel Knight came out. Not sure if I feel like dusting it off for this game.

I will just leave this here for you: According to Reddit - "Interesting fact: the original Gameboy box of 1991 had the nintendo 3ds printed art on the backside." I need to verify this though.

Has anyone mentioned, found, or played the hidden Golf game on the switch? Link: There's a secret NES game on the Nintendo Switch and we really want to play itFrom the article - "It's been known for some time — since July, in fact — that there's a built-in NES emulator buried in the Switch OS code, called "Flog." What no one realized at the time, however, was that Flog (which is "Golf" spelled backwards, ICYMI) isn't a general-purpose emulator; instead, it appears to be one specific game, emulated."

"That's actually a first. Past Nintendo consoles have offered up legacy games via the "Virtual Console" section of the eShop, but none so far have updated older games to the point that they support new-fangled control schemes offered by motion controls." This is a false statement. Duck Hunt was redone using motion controls.
