Ok so I saw this thread in the WWE current forum and the first thing I thought of was why just 05-now. I want to know I don't care if you pick something from the 50's (cause there is footage from then) I want the best 3 matches to show a non wrestling fan. My 3 would be
Magnum TA vs Tully Blanchard - I Quit Match - Starrcade Rob Van Dam vs Jerry Lynn - Hardcore Heaven 99 Roddy Piper vs Greg Valentine - Dog Collar - Starrcade
Those would be my 3 matches to show a non wrestling fan. What is your 3?

I would pick the following for their variety in match styles:
Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect - King of the Ring 1993 (Classic Pure Technical Match)
Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker - Hell In A Cell - Bad Blood 1997 (Hardcore style match)
Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker - Wrestlemania 25 (Modern great match)

I knew you would pick a Perfect/Hart match but could not pick which one. I was thinking SS 91. And btw I love that Basic Perfect.

Haha! Yeah I think Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect from KOTR 1993 is probably my favorite match of all time.
Thanks man! It's a hybrid of basic Million Dollar Man & Legends Mr. Perfect

Agreed. Excellent choices. The boots don't fit PERFECTLY with the calves but it still looks good. BTW, I was totally pissed that they didn't include Bret vs. Perfect in the Best of the King of the Ring blu ray. Instead they included Hogan vs. Yoko. Blah.

Okay, I tried this before lol Here I go again:
Flair-Steamboat- WrestleWar 89 Austin-Hart- WM 13 RVD-Lynn- Hardcore Heaven '99.
Give a little variety there to show the different facets of the "sport".

Hmmm, great question. A non-wrestling fan eh?? Matches we think were great, they might think they suck because they aren't fans and probably wouldn't know the back-story to the stuff leading up to a particular match and wouldn't know who is who.
Therefore, for a non-wrestling fan, I'd probably show them:
Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant WrestleMania III Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior WrestleMania VI "Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat WrestleMania III

Hogan-Andre
Hogan-Rock
Hogan-Warrior
I feel if you can sell a "non fan" on the crowd and atmosphere, you can sell them on anything.

I love the Old School wrestling matches!!!! My buddy showed a friend of his who was not a wrestling fan the Randy Savage dvd set and he now loves wrestling to the point he made a short film called "12 Angry Macho Men" which is a parody of 12 Angry Men. He was in aw over the RVD/Lynn Hardcore Heaven dvd and was drooling over the Piper/Valentine dog collar beating. I think unlike others you do not have to have all of these over the top moves to turn a non fan into a fan. If you have the right matches to show someone or even the right promos they will become a fan. Keep the matches coming guys!!! Edit: Here is a link to the youtube video of 12 Angry Macho Men. They made the costumes and basically did it with all the different Macho years and attires. Hope you enjoy

This is tough. I guess I'd go for a little variety:
- Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat - WrestleMania III - Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin - WrestleMania 13 - Steiner Brothers vs. Bret & Owen Hart
Man so many others kept popping in my head:
- Hogan vs. Warrior - Hogan vs. Andre - Rude vs. Warrior (SummerSlam '89) - Angle vs. McMahon (KOTR 2001) - Angle vs. Lesnar (WrestleMania XIX & Iron Man Match) - TLC I & II, & WrestleMania 200 Ladder Match - Mankind Vs. Undertaker (KOTR '98) - RVD vs. Jerry Lynn - Flair vs. Steamboat - Raven vs. Sandman - Raven vs. Dreamer - Taz vs. Bigelow - Steiners vs. Sting & Luger - Sting vs. Flair

He loves The Great Muta,Dynamite Kid,Vampiro,Nick Bockwinkle,Mr. Perfect,Roddy Piper and Bret Hart are his idols and influences when it came to his feel of what he wanted to do with his character. I was mad that they did not ask me to be in the parody.
