The Classics are sick.
Actually they are all sick. I am definitely getting the Classics. Might get the modern ones for my nephew.
These are awesome.

I'm really not much of a figure buyer these days but I am absolutely getting the Classics and more than likely I'll succumb to getting the new line. They both look awesome. Packaging looks great on both sets, too. Little kids are really lucky to have been born 6 years ago and not 26 years ago right now.

Those Classic 4 are must gets for me. That Shellraiser for the new stuff is really awesome, as is that playset. Love the Turtles so I can see myself getting a whole collection of the Classics if they get deep into that line. I am definitely going to grab the new style Mikey and probably the Donatello too, as the detailed versions look really badass.
And hell yes to Movie Star Turtles. What an epic line that should have changed the Turtles standard for years to come. I wish my set was still MOC though so I could cash-in that paycheck.

I didn't hear an official launch date, but the speculation is third quarter 2012 I believe.
I seriously hope these all look as awesome as the protos when they're released. ;D

Man, these look amazing. I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for those Classic figures. Seeing that enormous playset takes me back to the old days when they used to be available for several toy lines. I might pick that up as well depending on the price. Can't wait for these to hit.

80's and early 90's were the best for cartoons & merchandise. . . my childhood will never die!

It feels weird not seeing Turtles in the toy aisles. I am glad they're coming back. The figures look really nice, too! Gonna get that Donatello for my office desk!

The figures look great, but so far not liking the look of April at all. She looked way better in the last animated series. This one looks too much like a strawberry shortcake character. If that's Splinter, his look is interesting but looks more like a badger with a whole kabuki look going on. That will take some getting used to. So I guess that's maybe krang's replacement? the New mutants or creatures or whatever they are look really cool and the one looks as if it could be Razzar. Not really feeling the new Shredder look. Would have been nice if they maybe gave him something more like his look from his first comic book apperance to compliment the classic comic look that the Turtles have....otherwise awseome, quality looking figures and the classic toon ones are great.

Got a closer look at the classics at TF. They're much larger than I expected but still pretty cool. I'm starting to wonder if I will ever be satisfied with any Turtles figures and it's starting to drive me bonkers. Those classics are great but over the years I've only grown to dislike the original cartoon more and more and I've always hated the colored knees and elbow pads look. The new ones still look great to me but, you know, if the cartoon sucks, that's that.
I guess I can one day hope for versions based off the first movie? Not the Movie Star versions? I could only be so lucky. Until then I think I am honestly just going to have to stick to the NECA versions. Still might get the classics, though. We'll see.

^ NECA will be hard to top. They're essentially perfect.
The classics hold a dear place in my heart for being the show I watched as a kid. And to be honest, I like the way the new ones look as well. I'm enough of a TMNT fan to grab a set of both and appreciate where they all came from and what point in time they represent for me personally. Sorta like different musical genres for different moods, there will always be a different flavor or TMNT for whatever purpose I need.

I stop buying action figures altogether but these are so freaking sweet that I may have to buy all 4. These remind me so much of original turtles I had when I was a kid. Those were the best toys.

Does anyone know if they're going to make a Classics Shredder? I really want all four classic turtles but they're worthless to me without Shredder as he was my favorite character. I would also like to see classic versions of April O'Neil, Splinter, a member of the Foot Clan, Krang and his robotic body and of course Beebop and Rocksteady. But aside from the actual turtles, Shredder is an absolute must for me.

I've not seen anything other than "around August" for any of this stuff. I hope we're all so enthusiastic in six months!
