The only reason he's ever given for not joining is the whole worried about being buried thing after what happened to Booker, it's disappointing that he's never taken an offer, especially when it comes to facing Taker. Personally, i think he'll look back one day and regret not doing it. I remember him saying that, it's sad he did jump to that conclusion that he would be buried, considering Booker did go on to sucess in the WWE.

Honestly there is no one I'd want to see him face off against.

I think it is king of cool Sting doesn't go to WWE and he remains one of the few who never went there. I think he would sign a legends deal when he retired from TNA.

Despite actually never being in WWE...Isn't it because of WWF/E that Sting is who he is today? Because WWE had all the top talent, other places needed new talent to push? that's fairly narrow minded. the nwa was by no means a mid rate product and had several top talents.

I acctualy believed Sting was joining WWE for one reason only In New York's well respected paper the Daily News a guy called the Slammer wrote a small article on pro wrestling. He was always right on predictions and reported the signing of Jeff hardy to TNA two weeks before TNA made the official announcement. The week before 2.21.11 he reported that Sting had signed with WWE. I couldn't believe it and was so excited for 2.21.11. I was incredibly dissapointed when undertakers music hit. The next week the Slammer said he was taking an "extended vacation" A Slammer article never appeared in the daily news again. So Sting had everybody fooled

After Undertaker retires this year there will never be a reason for Sting to come to WWE.
What's the point in calling for it if he's going to face anyone other than Mark Calloway?

In my opinion, I'm glad he didn't come to WWE. If all he's good for is one match, then is it really worth it?

I can't say I ever really understood why Sting would want to come to WWE to face the Undertaker. It's sort of a Catch 22. If I am Sting, I'm not coming in for a one time gig to lose, leaving the perception that Undertaker's legacy was more important than my own. On the same note, if I am Vince and Taker, am I really going to let this NWA/WCW/TNA guy come in for one match and go over Undertaker at WrestleMania? Of course not, so I just don't see that the situation was ever very realistic.
Sting getting one match at Mania would be cool, although he is 52 now so it would have meant more 10 years ago, but I also think part of Sting's big appeal is that he never worked for Vince, and that is sort of his deal. I think it is completely off the table though now so I don't think it really matters.

being buried wasnt the only reason Sting ever listed for not joining Vince.
he also said WWEs edgy product offended his BAC beliefs.this was obviously BS because all we have to do is look at TNA

Sting will end up doing something with the WWE one day, i don't think Vince is done with him yet. The allure of Sting in a WWE ring is too good to refuse, even in his 50s tbh.

It seemed like last year 2 21 11 was for Taker the whole time and never was for Sting,

Even if he's too old by then to be an active full-time wrestler, he could probably still muster one more match. Flair's still wrestling and he's in his 60s!

I heard the reason he didnt join was because Vince ended up paying Stong less money and would work more dates
