For those unaware, their is a Michonne origin comic in the April issue of Playboy. No idea why it was printed in that god awful magazine, but I plan to pick it up. Rag is nothing more than Maxim with a couple of boobie pics thrown in. In other news, for the fans of the comic, the first set of Walking Dead Minimates (description notes the set will include: Rick/Zombie, Andrea/Zombie, Tyreese/Zombie, and a zombie two pack) is up for pre-order at BigBadToyStore.com for $29.99

Haven't had a chance to watch the episode yet, but I had read the spoilers, and I am glad it is being well received.

Very impressed with tonight's show. I really thought of everyone that survived that Herschel would of died. The ones that did didn't do anything for the show. I'm really interested in this new character & how she's gonna interact with Andrea. I haven't ever been a fan of hers but I think its a new chance for her. I've read all the hype about the prison so I'm excited to see how that will play out. I LOVED how Rick told everyone off. Welcome to the Rick-tatorship! Overall, tremendous season. They really set the bar high for season 3. Bring on Mad Men Breaking Bad! Fixed.

First part of the show with the '13 Survivors vs. an Army of Walkers' was great. Hershel was a complete badass there and the scene with him watching the barn burn down was great.
Rick's speech at the end of the show to the group was amazing, really liked how he said he had to kill his best friend for the group. Another reason why Rick doing the job, rather than Carl, was great.
I'm glad they decided to keep Hershel on board. He's easily the best character from the farm.
Also glad T-Dog made it out and even got a full segment with Lori and Beth.
Oh and Michonne <3
Edit: Just realized I've been spelling Herschel wrong the entire time. Whoops.

Well, I picked up the Playboy with the Michonne story.
Advice to the comic fans, or those wanting to get into the comics: Unless you're a completest and a hardcore Walking Dead fan... wait for scans to hit the internet. It's good, but it's only a five page story.
I was hoping it would be a stand alone, an insert inside the plastic wrap completely OUTSIDE of the magazine itself, unfortunately that wasn't the case... hopefully it's added after the Letter Hacks section in issue #96 next month.

You both follow the comic series and I forget which one of you suggested The Rise of The Governor. I am starting to read the comics because I want to know more about Michonne and The Governor. Is it safe to stray from the series to read Rise of The Governor or should I wait until I get caught up in the comics? I am getting the TPB from the library starting with volume 1 (which I read) and it will be a while before volume 2 is available.

What about that helicopter? YES! What about the helicopter? My initial thought is it was maybe going to the prison or has to do with who ever is there. Unless thats a completely different story.

First off, where are they, and where was that helicopter? Atlanta? I thought they went to like, DC for the CDC. I doubt they went all the way back. I'm not sure if that helicopter is even anything important. May just be a symbol of hope..?

I think the helicopter was a flashback to how the herd started.

I think the helicopter was a flashback to how the herd started. It was a flash back to season 1, when Rick is in Atlanta there is a helicopter flying over. They referenced it in Talking Dead, and also implied a lot more surprises in store for season 3, I can't wait!!!

About the helicopter, in the comic Rick and the group (don't exactly remember who all it was) see a helicopter that is going down... and that is how they find Woodbury - the community that The Governor runs. DUN DUN DUN. ...of course, it's just speculation on my part, but that's what I think that 'copter is leading up to. Pretty much what I am hoping for to be honest. If it was a stand alone insert I would make the effort to go buy it, but after reading this I will just check it out online or hope it shows up down the road. Thanks for letting us know. The book doesn't involve any of the survivors you've met already... but I will say there are certain things that tie into the comic, so when you're up to the Governor arc (volume 8), you'll be noticing tie in after tie in.

Glen and Rick notice it while getting gas from abandoned cars in the prison parking lot, I think. They go back and get Michonne to go with them. I thought that, too. It could be, but they haven't even found the prison yet. I would've thought they'd get in the prison and get settled in first before Woodbury (or however/wherever the Governor is holding up in the TV series) is even thought about being introduced. I don't know. Maybe it is foreshadowing events way far in the future. Who knows.

All I can think, is that it is some serious foreshadowing, I've thought it since Rick got into Atlanta and saw the helicopter for the first time.

He did say their are big things in store for our boy T-Dog in S3 though! WOO! 2012, YEAR OF THE DOG!
