I believe the correct spelling is Danai Gurira, and that was seriously one of the coolest moments ever imo. That entire episode felt like a build up to either seeing Michonne or the prison, and we got both. We are seeing similar character development from Rick as what we did in the comics. Lots of him shouldering the responsibility, and finally pushing the idea that he never asked for it.
Lori's character lacks serious continuity. The one thing she has always done is stand behind every decision Rick has ever made, whether she agreed with it or not. Now, when Rick kills Shane, which absolutely had to be done, she acts out like a 16 year old girl who got grounded for the weekend. Jesus, she was manipulating Rick into trying to kill Shane like 3 or 4 episodes ago. I think we see a similar thing with Carl. It's like every once in a while we get Carl and Lori randomly acting like their characters from episode 1 of the series, which makes no sense since they have come so far. That reaction just wasn't authentic for me. If anything I thought she would be relieved.
Awesome episode for sure, and that bs with Lori definitely led to Rick's dictator speech, but I did take issue with that one thing.
I think we saw Herschel take another step forward. He lost his farm, but kept two of his daughters, so he kept his passion to live.
Daryl siding with Rick was a huge deal imo. He is the strongest character in the group, maybe even more so than Rick because he has far less to lose, and it's important that someone with his ability to survive believes in Rick. Michonne has been that voice before in the comics, and I think it spoke volumes to why we should believe in Rick, Daryl standing up for Rick did the same for me in that moment.
And now we wait...

Also they kind of perfectly set up Tyrese to appear at the end with them hearing that sound off in the woods. It was very similar to how it happened in the Comic too they are on the side of the road, close to the Prison.
Although it does seem like T-Dog/Darryl are supposed to be Tyrese split into two characters. Darryl has that "Listen to Rick" mentality and the relationship with Carol and T-Dog is black, named T-Dog and has used a hammer before.

Agreed. Lori definitely took a nose drive once she knew Shane was killed by Rick. I love the ending how Rick didn't give a ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) what they thought...it had to be done.

Loved the finale!! Can't wait for season 3 and hope the season 2 dvd comes out quicker then most tv show season dvds as I will need something to tide me over untill season 3. May have to get into the comic series just to see all the differences between the show and the comic.
As much as I at times don't like Andrea I was getting worried that they were going to kill her off as a big swerve as from what I have heard on here she is a bigger part of the comic and having her die so soon would be a shock. Glad to see her still alive and to see where she goes without Shane and Dale around to pull her in different directions.
The whole Lori thing is puzzling as it seemed like for most of the second part of this season that this is what she wanted. Not sure if she doesn't want Rick to know she is happy Shane is dead or just shocked the Rick did kill Shane for her.

Lori sucks.
Carl needs to quit trying to act grown-up and then turn crybaby in the same episode.
So glad Rick is FINALLY the no-nonsense badass from the comics.

Carl is a child that just found out his father killed his best friend, who had planned on killing him. This same guy, is the guy who was a close family friend, and saved him and his mom's life. Carl has every right to cry, for ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) sake.

NO! HE DOESN'T! YOU'RE WRONG! THIS IS NOT A DEMOCRACY!
Lol I'm just saying that one minute he wants to act all grown up and tell his dad to shoot Randall and then he actually kills zombie Shane and then his dad yells and...and...and...he cries.

That finale was insane. 7 months is a long time but its more than worth it.

I've been watching the show since the beginning, but I hadn't quite bought into the craze that a lot of my friends had. While they were busy having Walking Dead parties and freaking out about the latest episode, I would quietly DVR the show and watch it sometime later during the week. Nothing more, nothing less.
The last three or four episodes, though, changed all of that. The show has been absolutely fantastic to close out the season, and now I understand what it feels like to be genuinely excited by it. I heard Kirkman express that these final episodes have all been ramping up to a very similar season 3 in terms of pacing, and if that's the case, I absolutely cannot wait.

Very impressed with tonight's show.
I really thought of everyone that survived that Herschel would of died. The ones that did didn't do anything for the show. I'm really interested in this new character & how she's gonna interact with Andrea. I haven't ever been a fan of hers but I think its a new chance for her. I've read all the hype about the prison so I'm excited to see how that will play out. I LOVED how Rick told everyone off. Welcome to the Rick-tatorship!
Overall, tremendous season. They really set the bar high for season 3. Bring on Mad Men!

Don't have much time to discuss the episode right now, but I loved how calm Daryl was when the walkers attacked the barn. Everyone else was running around and grabbing the guns and Daryl was just like "lol k."

Yeah that was awesome, especially after Hershel says he'd die at the farm, and Daryl whips back "A good a night as any to die" as everyone else is panicking.

So looking back, I don't think Lori was upset about Rick killing Shane. She only really got upset when Rick said " Carl put him down". I think that is what set her off.

Just an all around great episode with so many crucial moments. I had to watch it twice just to take it all in. October seems like forever at this point.

Michonne is my favourite character in the comics, so her appearing was a huge and welcome surprise. VERY excited to see what happens in Season 3. The show has been amazing thus far.
