I'm glad I didn't click on the spoilers! This past episode, which I finally saw, was great. Lots of zombie action which is always nice. We got a hard battle between Shane and Rick but wow I wanted to see a cat fight between Lori and Andrea even more! They were telling each other off. Meow! ;D Can't wait for the next episode although I didn't get to see the preview for it. If someone had the video that shows the preview for the next episode could they post it in here? +1 to the first person who can do that.

So I'm rewatching the episode right now. When Shane's moving the zombies he notices they don't have bite marks, but Rick notices they both have scratches, on on the hand the other on the face. Has the zombie rule been up now that you get infected ONLY if you get bitten? So, before you could get scratched and be unaffected? Does this imply that the virus/zombies are evolving?
Maybe someone who's read the comics can answer this, but do the zombies evolve? In that they get more intelligent and start to coordinate.
wait, finished the episode. I don't get what can and can't turn you into a zombie, cuz Rick, Shane and the new kid have blood all over their faces. Blood won't turn u, just a bite, and now maybe scratches.

I don't get what can and can't turn you into a zombie, cuz Rick, Shane and the new kid have blood all over their faces. Blood won't turn u, just a bite, and now maybe scratches. In the comics, the zombies don't get more intelligent, but they do herd. Meaning, groups of zombies will make sounds as they walk and other zombies will join them and by the time they get to whatever sound they were walking towards there could be hundreds of them. There are different types of zombies as named by the group, such as lurkers and roamers. Some will walk around, almost hunting, while others will stand in place and move with little to no motivation. As of The Walking Dead #94 though, they haven't evolved in any way. As far as the scratch vs bite vs airborne disease, all of the above. Everyone who is living has the disease. So when they die, they become a zombie, no matter what. Those who are bitten or scratched are killed by the fever die within days, most likely from the zombie making direct contact with human blood. So, in other words, everyone is "The Walking Dead."

OMG! Anyone living has the disease? I did NOT know this was coming! Very creepy. So, those "dead" cops may end up "waking up", right?

No, the cops were the two zombies that Rick and Shane used their knifes to kill. At the start of the episode Rick tells Shane they need to start using their knives move to save ammo. So when they approach the Police station to drop the new kid off, a single zombie-cop appears. Rick kills it with his knife, then another zombie-cop appears and Shane kills it with his knife.

I am wondering in the comics does the group at the farm have this same dilemma with this guy living or dying because I know that the show is not 100% to the comics.. punksnotdead: Thanks for the info about the disease. I was not aware that everyone would become a zombie if they died say of a gunshot wound. Of course they wouldn't come back as a zombie if their bodies were burned first right? That's crazy though.

By now they would be at the prison dealing with way more serious stuff. They really need to get off this farm.

If they follow the comics with this, you don't have to be bitten to turn into a walker. In the comics (no spoilers) a certain character dies without being bitten, and is buried. Later on that character is dug up and is found as a walker. So I'm guessing there's a strong chance in that being in the show. Oh yeah, I vaguely remember something in the comics about the zombies 'freezing' in the winter? It was quite snowy and they found a zombie unable to move in the snow. I believe they said it was frozen due to blood not pumping through the body to regulate temperature or whatever. So yeah, anyone have an idea what month it is in the series?

I think zombies stop in cold because blood DOESNT pump through the bodies like a normal human so there is no natural heating system for them so when it gets cold they simply freeze up

Just a warning....IMDB is filled with massive spoilers beyond what AMC accidentally let slip & they're usually in the titles of threads
I like the show but have two problems (not the shows fault).
1. When shows center around death & "who's next" - I get bored with everything else. I only want to know what's coming (issue I had with Heroes and Lost). The show can be great but I'll still be focused on what's ahead.
2. I absolutely can't stand Lori and don't really care for Rick as a main character. I enjoy Shane, Glenn, Dale, most others, but I just can't seem to like Rick and his wife.

So if I'm supposedly someone who wants to see what all the Hype is about and wants to watch Walking Dead, when can I catch the next episode and on what channel? Spike, USA, AMC etc?

I for one hope that Lori dies. I can't stand her character, and want to see her go so Rick can be all "Woe is me" and then find a new woman.

That's a big issue I have with shows that have a large cast. They usually ignore characters that could be quite interesting. We don't even know his real name..just a cheesy nickname.

New one is Sunday at 9 on AMC. Enjoy! In other news, I stumbled across the spoiler before they even caught it. So pissed that I basically know how the season ends, or atleast a portion of it.

When was the last time he was even on tv? A couple others rarely get shown anymore and it must suck for them.

When was the last time he was even on tv? A couple others rarely get shown anymore and it must suck for them. His name is t-dawg. That's what they call him. My theory is he's Tyreese from the comics, just thrown in earlier. For those who haven't read the comics, I'll keep it spoiler free. Tyreese is a character introduced somewhat shortly to the group along with his daughter and her boyfriend, I believe. They join up with the group and Tyreese pretty much carries a good amount of the work load along side Rick. He had a pretty major role in my opinion and was an amazing character. I don't know for sure if that's him in the show, or just some random character, but I hope we come across him soon. Him and Michonne just made every issue epic. One problem I have... ANDREA! In the series she was badass. Known for being a perfect shot with a gun. She was just great to me. In the show she's just so bland. Anyone else disappointed with her?
