- Following the signature WWE intro, we cut directly to the Full Sail Arena as ring announcer Tony Dawson made an introduction that immediately energized the audience. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome......the NEW NXT Champion, Seth Rollins!" The audience came unglued for Rollins as he made his way out to the stage, moshing while swinging around the NXT Championship. He walked down to ringside, slapping the hands of the crowd members before stepping into the ring. He celebrated with the title a bit longer as the audience chanted his name repeatedly. Rollins took a microphone, saying that he can't describe the past two weeks of his life. "Two weeks ago, I saw the NXT Championship slip away from me, and it was all because of two men. Damien Sandow and Kassius Ohno." The audience booed at the mention of the two devious superstars. "I know. Ohno attacked me on that stage and attempted to take me out. But what everyone should know about Seth Rollins is that whenever I get knocked down, you better be damn sure that I'm getting back up. And I did just that, but it wasn't enough. So last week, Ricardo Rodriguez granted me one final opportunity at the NXT Championship. And one shot was all I needed because I capitalized on the opportunity and finally, finally, I was able to dethrone Damien Sandow. And because of that, I stand here before all of you as the NEW NXT Champion!" As the audience continued to cheer Rollins on, the mood changed with the arrival of Kassius Ohno. Ohno sarcastically congratulated Rollins on his big championship victory, claiming that it only came about because he wasn't present in the Full Sal Arena last week. "We both know that I am the superior competitor, Seth. And had I been here last week, you wouldn't have even gotten your opportunity at the NXT Championship. I would have, and I would be standing here as the champion. And since you're all about 'opportunities,' then why don't you give me the opportunity to show that you're nothing but a fluke champion?" Rollins told Ohno that if he's looking for an opportunity, then he'll gladly give it to him. "If you can beat me tonight in this ring, I'll make sure that you get a shot at the NXT Championship. And by the way..." said Rollins before blasting Ohno in the skull will the championship. Rollins, getting a measure of revenge for Ohno's attack on him at the iPPV two weeks ago, left the ring as he raised the NXT Championship high in the air.
- Backstage, Alex Riley and Richie Steamboat were shown making their way down to the ring. The two Elimination Chase competitors are in tag team against JTG and their other Elimination Chase opponent, Trent Barreta, up next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- At this time, a video package was shown to recap the spectacular event that was RAW 1000. The most electrifying man in all of entertainment, The Rock, finally got his revenge on John Laurinaitis for the events of WrestleMania XXVIII, and announced that he will be entering the Royal Rumble match this coming January. To settle the dispute between Ric Flair and Brad Maddox, Mr. McMahon announced a 5-on-5 Elimination Match at SummerSlam to determine who takes the RAW General Manager position. WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler managed to walk away from his match with CM Punk with his title intact, forcing Punk to get himself disqualified. And lastly, John Cena, who was late to the event, declared that if The Rock is looking for a WWE Championship match at WrestleMania, then he vows to enter the grand event as the champion. Cena then called out The Rock, but didn't get the "Great One." Instead, Brock Lesnar made his shocking return to WWE, and did so by laying out Cena with an F-5.
- ALEX RILEY AND RICHIE STEAMBOAT DEF. TRENT BARRETA AND JTG: A very solid tag bout featuring the three men who will be competing in the second stage of the Elimination Chase next week. As JTG was in the ring, the audience roared with chants of "We want Big E!" JTG responded to the Full Sail crowd by telling them "Y'all ain't getting no Big E!" In the end, Richie Steamboat was able to get the victory for he and A-Ry after hitting the Sling Blade.
- The audience popped as Riley joined Richie in the ring, the two raising one another's arms in victory. Trent Barreta made his way up the entrance ramp, looking back at Riley and Richie. The two of them in the ring glanced back at each other and Barreta, aware that next week, one of them will be eliminated from the Elimination Chase and contention for the NXT Championship.
- A graphic was shown for tonight's main event. New NXT Champion Seth Rollins takes on Kassius Ohno.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for Adam Cole, one of the hottest young stars on the rise in professional wrestling. Adam Cole, coming soon to WWE NXT.
- ADRIAN NEVILLE DEF. EL LOCAL: The television debut of Adrian Neville got the audience on their feet for the exciting British high flier. Many were also intrigued by the debut of El Local as even the commentators had very little background information on him. Nonetheless, a very solid match was capped off as Neville hit Local with a Corkscrew Shooting Star Press to get the victory.
- Backstage, JTG was shown in a corridor, airing his grievances to Sakamoto and Jiro. "Man, what the hell is wrong with these people? I made it clear last week that nobody will ever see Big E Langston ever again. And what happens? They still chant for him. Get it through your heads, people. No more Big E! No more Big E! It's all about me, Mr. NXT! Now get with the damn program!" JTG left the scene angrily, Sakamoto and Jiro looking on in confusion as neither of them can understand English.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to NXT, Alex Riley and Richie Steamboat were shown in the locker room area, still psyched over their victory earlier in the night. Riley reminded Richie that next week, there may be only one of them celebrating. "This Elimination Chase is every man for himself. And if I have the opportunity to knock you out of it and take one step closer to becoming NXT Champion, I'll take it without the slightest bit of hesitation." Richie told Riley that he's fine with that, because he feels the exact same way. "May the better man survive," said Richie as he extended his hand, Riley accepting the handshake.
- SKYLER MOON DEF. EMMA AND SASHA BANKS: Three of NXT's newest Divas got their opportunity to shine here in a rather good Triple Threat match. Emma, who performed an incredibly awkward dance on her way to the ring, continued to do so once the bell sounded as Skyler and Sasha immediately went after her. In the end, Skyler planted Emma with an incredible Airplane STO to pick up the victory.
- Skyler stood to her feet as the Full Sail Arena gave her a very positive response to her victory. As she made her way to the back, the commentators noted that while the three newest NXT Divas were put to the test tonight, the usual crop of Divas will see similar action. Sofia Cortez, Raquel Diaz, Audrey Marie, and Paige will do battle in a Fatal Four Way match, next week.
- Cutting to the backstage area, Briley Pierce was shown outside of the office of NXT General Manager, Ricardo Rodriguez. Briley stated that he was supposed to interview Ricardo at this time, though he didn't seem to be in his office. Suddenly, Ricardo ran to the interview scene, out of breathe and full of sweat. Briley asked him if everything was alright, to which Ricardo said that he just had to run out to his car for a second. "But anyways, the reason I requested this time interview time is because I have a special announcement to make for next week's show. I have once again signed a deal to bring a top WWE superstar to NXT for one night only. So next week, coming to NXT and the Full Sail Arena will be WWE Champion, Dolph Ziggler." The audience responded with boos as next week, the Show Off will be present on NXT.
- Cutting to another camera, Kassius Ohno was shown training with a punching bag, finishing off his workout with a KO Elbow to the bag. He then left his locker room as he meets the new NXT Champion Seth Rollins up next.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for SummerSlam, live Sunday August 19th, only on pay-per-view.
- NXT CHAMPION SETH ROLLINS DEF. KASSIUS OHNO: A fantastic bout to close out tonight's edition of NXT on ION Television. Rollins was riding a wave of momentum heading into this match, but it almost came crashing as Ohno caught him with a KO Elbow off of a Springboard Clothesline attempt. Ohno wasn't able to capitalize fast enough as Rollins got his shoulder up during the pin attempt. Ohno geared up for another elbow, but Rollins dodged it and caught him with a Superkick. Ohno fell onto his hands and knees as Rollins caught him with the Blackout to get the victory.
- The crowd erupted as Rollins slowly stood to his feet, being handed back his NXT Championship. He celebrated with the Full Sail Arena once again, standing on top of the mountain as the NXT Champion. William Regal noted on commentary that Seth may have gotten lucky tonight as the former champion, Damien Sandow, was nowhere to be found. And whenever Sandow does resurface, things may go south for Rollins. But until then, Rollins stands tall with the gold as NXT reached its conclusion.

WWE RAW 1000 This show is massive! I'll try my best to make it out of here alive. Good idea to start it off with Mr. McMahon and then DX. DX and Maddox segment was alright, but it seemed like you took the real segment and replaced Sandow with Maddox. Still a good way to get the crowd hyped. Great opening contest for the night with Christian retaining the United States Championship over Evan Bourne. The moment after with Christian and Edge embracing was fine, needed to get that out of the way now that Christian is face again. I like the idea of three NXT Rookies being interviewed on RAW 1000, hope Rollins makes his way up to the main roster sooner rather than later. Miz and Reigns getting the victory over Ryder and Kingston was the right call, not sure how much time this match would have on RAW 1000 though. There's a lot to cover tonight. All World Promotions going over Too Cool was the right cool, but I liked the trio getting revenge after the match and dancing in the ring with the Usos. RAW legend, this should be good. Yes! Yes! John Laurinaitis! Johnny Ace is back! I can't imagine Laurinaitis saying "piss off" though, doesn't fit to me. The Rock interrupting is fitting as the last time these two had an interaction Laurinaitis cost Rock his match against Cena at WrestleMania. Rock laying him out with the Rock Bottom is great and him announcing he'll be in the Royal Rumble is some huge news. Rather not see him win, but I'll wait to see how you play it out. AJ winning VIA DQ is a nice way to stretch out the feud along with the attack from Kaitlyn, but I imagine AJ's time is coming soon. Kane and Ryback's brawl backstage was needed to get them on the show, Ryback ripping off his mask and getting revenge from SmackDown is great. Liked the edition of Piper's Pit for the show, nice surprise with Goldust.. erm Dustin Runnels showing up. Cody spitting in his brother's face was great and I really hope he takes the title at SummerSlam. JBL! JBL is here too! Five man commentary team seems a bit awkward, though. Squash match on RAW 1000 is weird, but still a good victory for Bray Wyatt. Interested in where the storyline with Brodus Clay goes. Shame Stone Cold didn't make it onto the show. Flair getting with some of the WWE Diva's is amazing. Anyway, the five on five match at SummerSlam for the General Manger spot is awesome. Two solid choices for the team captains as well. Sweet victory for DiBiase over Sheamus, Jericho making the save after the match was fine. Laughed at the Brood segment. Kurt Angle's return segment, interrupted by Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose, love it. Seeing Angle face either of them or them both in a triple threat is great. Chuckled at the little Punk/Hart interaction. Fantastic main event match for the WWE Championship, but both championship matches ending by Disqualification is disappointing. Ziggler retaining is fine and I look forward to a rematch at SummerSlam. John Cena promo to close out the show, something big has to be going down. I'd rather not see another match between Rock and Cena, Cena already beat Rock and there's no need for another one unless Cena goes over 100% clean. Rather see that at a different pay-per-view though. Lesnar! Huge return to end the show, I'll assume we'll be getting a match at SummerSlam. I just preferred Punk (using him as an example for a new star) standing tall at the end of the real RAW 1000 opposed to Lesnar. With so many non-fans watching it makes Punk/the new start look legit. However, Lesnar returning should keep some of those fans around for next week. Overall, I prefer this RAW to the real one, as it really let the newer guys shine. Looking forward to the coming weeks on the road to SummerSlam. Hey, I made it out of here!

- Following the intro and pyrotechnics display, the commentary trio of Michael Cole, Josh Mathews, and Booker T welcomed everyone to Friday Night SmackDown! Coming off the heels of a monumental RAW 1000 event, tonight's show is shaping up to be huge as well. The WWE Tag Team Championships are on the line as Ted DiBiase and Michael McGillicutty of Wrestling Royalty are set to defend against Sheamus and Chris Jericho. Plus, Daniel Bryan and Alberto Del Rio will go one on one. All that and much more tonight on SmackDown.
- At this time, Justin Roberts introduced the man formerly known as Goldust, Dustin Runnels. Dustin received a fair ovation from the audience as the commentators briefly mentioned the encounter that he had with his brother, Cody Rhodes, this past Monday on RAW 1000. Dustin grabbed a microphone and stated his name for those who may not be familiar with him. "You all may know me as Goldust, one of the most over the top personas in WWE history. Recently, I've kept a low profile. I've done some work as a backstage agent for SmackDown and NXT. However, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be present at RAW 1000 this past Monday. For quite some time, RAW was my home. I held Intercontinental and Tag Team gold on that show. But never, never did I climb to the mountain top and become World Heavyweight Champion. Which is why I was excited for the fact that my brother, Cody Rhodes, will have the opportunity to do just that in four weeks time at SummerSlam. However, I didn't expect what happened when I met Cody in this ring on RAW." After Dustin said that, the footage from Piper's Pit this past Monday was shown, where Dustin tried to tell Cody that he was out of line with the amount of disrespect he had shown both Roddy Piper and the World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton. Dustin's attempt at peace failed as Cody spat in in his brother's face, bolting out of the ring before he could face the consequences. "It wasn't the spit that hurt me. Cody also claimed that I tarnished our family's name. That I never amounted to anything in this business and that he's going to be the savior of it all. Cody, I want to speak to you man to man. So if you will, please come down to this ring."
- After a seconds of silence, Cody's theme hit as the No. 1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship made his way down to the ring. He told Dustin that the rest of the world may be blind, but he can see through all of his lies. "You know that you tarnished the Rhodes name. In fact, you disgraced it so much that you refuse to use it. Isn't that right, Runnels?" asked Cody. Dustin told him that this isn't about what name he uses. "This is about you heading in the wrong direction. When you came up in this business, you had a good head on your shoulders. And I don't know what happened, but I don't like it." Cody told Dustin that the only thing that happened to him is success, something he knows nothing about. "Are you really disappointed in me, Dustin? Or are you just jealous? Jealous of the fact that your little brother had surpassed you in both talent and accolades. Let's face it. I'm far better than you ever were. And I find it amusing that you had to remind everyone of the fact that you're a former Intercontinental Champion and Tag Team Champion. And you didn't have to remind them because you needed to feed your ego or because these people are stupid, despite both of those statements being true. You had to remind everyone because nobody remembers a damn thing that you did in the WWE. You were Intercontinental Champion? That's great. So was I. And I brought class, prestige, and respect back to a title that people like you helped disgrace. And it's like you said. You were never World Heavyweight Champion, and you can't stand the fact at on August 19th, I will be just that. The World Heavyweight Champion." Before Cody could continue, Dustin cut him off. "That's enough, Cody. I'm sure everyone here in attendance will agree with me when I say that we're all sick of hearing you berate others just to satisfy yourself. If you want respect, earn it. If you want all of us to believe that you're as good as you claim to be, then prove it. Don't just talk about beating Randy Orton at SummerSlam and becoming World Heavyweight Championship. Go out there on August 19th and do it. And frankly, I don't know what I want to happen in Los Angeles. You're my brother, I love, you and I would love to see you become champion. But the other part of me wants to see Randy Orton teach you a thing or two about respect." Cody told Dustin that it's funny how he's talking about respect, when that's exactly what he's been lacking for himself. "You spent years walking around here as a gold freak. You had no respect for anyone, and that includes yourself. And it's a shame that no one ever slapped some sense in to you. Actually, now that I think about it-" said Cody before delivering a slap across the face of his brother. Cody left the ring and made his way up the entrance ramp, but Dustin soon stopped him. "You know what, Cody? I tried. I tried to reason with you and I tried to steer you back into the right direction. But everything that I am saying is clearly not registering in your damn head!" shouted Dustin. "And what are you gonna about it? Block me on Twitter?" asked Cody. Dustin told Cody that a bit earlier, he said that he hoped Randy Orton would knock some sense into him at SummerSlam. "But you know what? I want to be the one to knock that sense into you. And if you're up for it, I'll do it tonight." The audience popped as Cody seemed surprised, not sure if Dustin was serious or not. "Are you kidding me? You're seriously challenging me to a match tonight? Your old, broken carcass wants to step into the ring with the hottest entity in professional wrestling today and the next World Heavyweight Champion?" asked Cody. Dustin responded with a simple "Yes," to which Cody said that he accepts the challenge. The audience cheered once again as Cody took the challenge as a joke, laughing to himself on the stage. Dustin, on the other hand, wasn't laughing one bit in the ring. It looks like tonight, two brothers will collide on SmackDown!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to Friday Night SmackDown, a recap of the previous segment was shown as a huge match was announced for tonight. Two brothers will go at it as Cody Rhodes takes on Dustin Runnels. Michael Cole stated that while Dustin may have a point about Cody's lack of respect, he may be biting off more than he can chew tonight.
- DANIEL BRYAN DEF. ALBERTO DEL RIO: With Daniel Bryan coming off of an encounter with Kurt Angle this past Monday on RAW 1000, the former World Heavyweight Champion was looking to redeem himself after being the victim of a headbutt from the Olympic Gold Medalist. For Del Rio, he was looking to gain a bit of momentum as next week, the long awaited Intercontinental Championship bout between he and Antonio Cesaro will finally take place. As Del Rio was going for the Cross Armbreaker, Cesaro ran down to ringside. He got on the ring apron, but was taken out with an Enziguri from Del Rio. Bryan was able to capitalize, rolling up Del Rio with his feet on the ropes to steal the victory.
- Bryan rolled out of the ring as the audience showered him with boos. He made his way up the entrance ramp while shouting "Yes!" as Antonio Cesaro rolled into the ring. He held the back of his head, still feeling the effects of the Enziguri, as Del Rio stirred to his feet. Cesaro then leveled Del Rio in the skull with the Intercontinental Championship, raising the gold high in the air. Next week, Cesaro and Del Rio finally meet one on one with the Intercontinental Title on the line!
- Backstage, WWE Tag Team Champions Ted DiBiase and Michael McGillicutty, Wrestling Royalty, were shown in their locker room as they prepare to defend their titles against Sheamus and Chris Jericho later on. Cody Rhodes soon walked into the room, still laughing at the challenge that Dustin Runnels issued earlier. "Can you guys believe that? This surely has to be a joke. Has Dustin lost his mind?" asked Cody. DiBiase told him that it doesn't matter what's wrong with Dustin. All that matters is that he has an opportunity to redeem his family's name tonight. "My family's name has been secure for generations, as has McGillicutty's. And you're right when you say that Dustin tarnished it. Go out there, show your brother that you are the future of this industry, and redeem your family's name," said DiBiase. Cody smiled and nodded his head in agreement before leaving the room. "Yeah.....family name," said Michael McGillicutty as he looked as if he were having a realization of sorts.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to SmackDown, a video package was shown for Rey Mysterio's retirement match at SummerSlam against Sin Cara. Next week, Cara will be in action with Rey in his corner.
- Backstage, Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks were show discussing how they believed they were wrongfully excluded from RAW 1000 this past week. "And why are Jericho and Sheamus getting a title shot tonight? They're not even a team," stated Reks. After Hawkins agreed with him, the two were approached by a police officer. After the officer asked if they were Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins, Reks stated that even police officers want their autographs. However, that wasn't the case. "You two are under arrest," said the officer as he handcuffed Hawkins. The two were outraged, asking why they were being arrested. "That's them! That's them! They kidnapped Lil' Jimmy!" shouted R-Truth, who was shown being held back by several other police officers. It would appear that Hawkins and Reks were being arrested for "kidnapping" Lil' Jimmy.
- RYBACK DEF. JTG: The self proclaimed "Mr. NXT" may have chosen the wrong night to make his main roster return as he was pitted against the unstoppable, undefeated Ryback. Ryback made his way out with Kane's mask in his hands, which he claimed possession of this past Monday on RAW 1000. Ryback was able to quickly plant JTG with Shell Shocked to get the victory.
- Ryback stood to his feet as the audience applauded him for yet another victory. Ryback took Kane's mask from ringside, raising it high in the air while shouting "Feed me more! Feed me more!" with the crowd joining him in the chant.
- Backstage, Chris Jericho and Sheamus were shown making their way down to the ring. The two will challenge Wrestling Royalty for the WWE Tag Team Championships, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for this Monday's edition of RAW. After his shocking return to the WWE on RAW 1000, will Brock Lesnar explain his actions towards John Cena? Plus, Ric Flair and Brad Maddox will reveal the members of their teams for SummerSlam. RAW, live this Monday on USA.
- WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS - WRESTLING ROYALTY DEF. SHEAMUS AND CHRIS JERICHO: A great WWE Tag Team Championship bout to round out the first hour here on SmackDown. We were on the verge of crowning new champions as Jericho had McGillicutty locked in the Walls of Jericho. However, DiBiase grabbed McGillicutty's arms from the outside and pulled him to the ropes. DiBiase paid for it by taking a Brogue Kick from Sheamus. Jericho pulled McGillicutty back into the ring, but was kicked in his kneecap. With Jericho down momentarily, McGillicutty capitalized by planting him with the Perfect Plex, Sheamus unable to intervene in time as the official made the three count.
- McGillicutty rolled to the outside as the WWE Universe expressed their displeasure for the result. He assisted DiBiase to his feet as the duo were handed back their titles. Sheamus checked on Jericho in the ring, but also kept his eyes on the champions. Once again, Wrestling Royalty found a way and have managed to hold on to the WWE Tag Team Championships.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to SmackDown, Dustin Runnels was shown in the locker room area as he prepares to meet his brother, Cody Rhodes, later on tonight. Soon, Dustin was greeted by the World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton. Orton asked Dustin if he was sure that he wanted to go through with this match? Dustin told Orton that he doesn't have to, but he wants to. "Right now, my brother is nothing more than a disrespectful little punk. And I'm going to be the to straighten him out. And if my methods don't work, then you can take over at SummerSlam," said Dustin. Orton told him that if he needs any backup out there, he'd be more than willing to. Dustin assured Orton that he'll be alright out there alone.
- KAITLYN DEF. NATALYA: After the events of this past Monday's RAW 1000 event, Kaitlyn and Natalya were set to do battle with one another while Divas Champion Eve watched from the commentary table. Kaitlyn found herself locked in the Sharpshooter, but was able to reach the ropes in time. As the official checked on Kaitlyn momentarily, Eve stood up from her seat at ringside to distract Natalya. When Natalya turned around, she was drilled by a Spear from Kaitlyn, the "Hybrid Diva" getting the cover and victory.
- Following the match, Divas Champion Eve stepped into the ring as she and Kaitlyn assaulted the already downed Natalya. The audience's jeers soon turned to cheers as AJ Lee hit the ring. Both Eve and Kaitlyn quickly bolted from the ring, not wanting to face the wrath of the crazed Diva. AJ simply stared at Kaitlyn and Eve with a psychotic look on her face, laughing maniacally before tending to Natalya.
- A graphic was shown for tonight's main event. It's brother vs. brother as Cody Rhodes takes on Dustin Runnels.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to SmackDown, cameras were shown rushing to a scene as several superstars were shown surrounding something. A closer look was given as we saw Dustin Runnels lying on the floor motionless. World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton broke through the circle to check on Dustin, asking everyone just what had happened? Orton and several officials tended to Dustin as tonight's main event now appears to be in question.
- DEAN AMBROSE DEF. JOHNNY CURTIS: A very solid bout between two of SmackDown's more strange superstars. With the audience firmly behind him, Ambrose was able to put Curtis with the Knee Trembler to pick up the win.
- The audience popped as Ambrose stood to his feet, standing tall over Johnny Curtis. Soon, we saw Daniel Bryan enter the ring through the audience in an attempt to deliver a sneak attack. The attempt failed, however, as Ambrose quickly noticed Bryan, forcing him to leave the ring and hurry up the entrance ramp. As Bryan stood on the stage, Ambrose grabbed a microphone from ringside. "That's cute, Daniel. Try to attack me from behind, yet you still fail. And throughout all of this, I find it amusing how you still have yet to admit that you're afraid of me." Bryan responded with a simple "No," leading Ambrose to counter with a "Yes!" The two went back and forth as the audience joined Ambrose in chanting "Yes!" Ambrose soon stopped the exchange, telling Bryan that his fear is actually pretty evident. "You're too much of a coward to go into combat with me with just your bare hands. And that backfired on you because at TLC, I dropped you on the back of your head onto a steel chair. Then on RAW this past Monday, you left the ring as I entered. And what happened just now? You ran away when I was able to catch the stench of your fear. But I guarantee you that next week, there won't be anywhere for you to run. Because I'm challenging you to a one on one match." After Ambrose received a nice response for the challenge, Bryan presented him with a question. "And what if I decline the challenge?" he asked. "Then you're pretty screwed, because I already got the match approved by Teddy Long. And I told you, Bryan, that there won't be anywhere for you to run. And I damn sure mean that. Because there's going to be a special guest referee. One that won't put up with your crap. One that won't allow you to weasel your way out. And one that won't hesitate to strike back if your strike first. The special guest referee in our match next week is Kurt Angle!" The audience erupted as Bryan's eyes widened, resuming his "No!" tirade. Next week, Ambrose will have Bryan right where he wants him. Nowhere to run as the special guest referee will be the Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle!
- Cutting backstage, Matt Striker was shown standing outside of the trainer's room where Dustin Runnels was being examined after apparently being attacked. World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton soon exited the room as Striker asked for an update on Dustin. "Dustin isn't doing so well right now, but he's insisting on wrestling tonight." When Striker asked Orton if Dustin said anything about his attacker, the Viper immediately noticed Cody Rhodes in the corridor. "You did this, didn't you!?" shouted Orton as he went after Orton. Several officials and superstars held Orton back as Cody insisted that he had nothing to with what happened to Dustin. Cody continued on as Orton was still held back, the main event up next.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for SummerSlam, live Sunday August 19th, only on pay-per-view.
- Returning to SmackDown, a graphic was shown for the two huge matches set for next week. The long awaited Intercontinental Championship bout will take place as Antonio Cesaro defends against Alberto Del Rio. And as we just learned, Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose will go one on one with Kurt Angle as the special guest referee. It all takes place next week on SmackDown.
- CODY RHODES VS. DUSTIN RUNNELS ENDS IN A NO CONTEST: As Cody Rhodes waited in the ring for his brother, it looked as if the damaged Dustin Runnels would not show up for the match. However, Dustin soon limped out to the ring, clearly not fit to compete. He insisted that the match continue however. After the bell sounded, Cody held his face out to allow Dustin to get the first shot. Every time Dustin would swing his arm, Cody would dodge the shot. This continued for another few seconds until Cody kicked Dustin in the mid section. Dustin dropped to his knees as the official asked if he wanted him to call off the match. Dustin, however, refused to quit. While Dustin was on his knees, Cody backed into a corner, looking to take a page out of Randy Orton's book and strike with a Punt Kick. However, Orton rushed down to the ring to prevent any further damage to Dustin.
- The audience erupted as Orton slid into the ring, Cody fleeing. He remained at ringside with a huge grin on his face as Orton tended to Dustin. As the World Heavyweight Championship was assisting him to his feet, Dustin caught him with a low blow! Orton dropped to the mat as Dustin stood up, a grin on his face to match Cody's. Dustin was never attacked. The whole thing was orchestrated to set up Orton. The commentators were at a loss for words as Cody slid back into the ring. He and Dustin shared a hug as the audience showered them with boos. Dustin picked Orton up, allowing Cody to take control and plant him with Cross Rhodes. Dustin then grabbed the World Heavyweight Championship from ringside, strapping it around his brother's waist. Cody and Dustin stood tall over Orton, shocking the world as the two brothers are united.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown: Friday 20th July 2012...Justin Gabriel defeating Primo was fine. Tamina with a win against Kelly Kelly was also a good decision. I hope that Tamina is headed on for good things in the future. Oh yeah, Kurt Angle's meant to come back tonight. Theodore Long in the ring to kick things off was cool, as the General Manager addressed goings on recently. Randy Orton's intercept was good, and through this opening promo we find out that Cody Rhodes has a name for his fction. Rhodes taking on Dean Ambrose tonight is great, but then we get Randy Orton and Sheamus against the WWE Tag Team Champions as well? Cool. Quite a big episode of SmackDown tonight. Ryback with a win against Tensai was big, and although it made Ryback look great, beating a guy as big as Tensai, it made the newcomer Tensai look bad. Wow, Kane is back for more of Ryback. I assume that we'll be seeing another gimmick match either in the coming weeks, or at SummerSlam. AJ Lee with a win against Kaitlyn was fine, I like this rivalry and I hope WWE actually touch on it in real life, with Kaitlyn as WWE Divas Champion and all. Dean Ambrose defeating Cody Rhodes by disqualification was good, since Cody isn't established enough just yet to main event shows (and I doubt him and Randy Orton will be going on last at SummerSlam anyway). Plus, Daniel Bryan needed to jump Ambrose, which was good enough for me. A brutal match at SummerSlam is coming, perhaps. Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre defeating Santino Marella and Derrick Bateman is fine with me, a good win for 3MB, even if I hate the trio. I see that you don't like booking Jinder Mahal. Good. He seems very awkward to use. Decent promo with Rey Mysterio was fine, as we promote Mysterio's retirement match. Wow, Antonio Cesario interrupting was great. Solid work, and I especially liked Alberto Del Rio's inclusion in this, I assume that we will be seeing Sin Cara involved in this somewhere, as well. It did seem to be more about the WWE Intercontinental Championship build. Ah, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes on Piper's Pit on RAW 1000 should be good. Lastly, great win for the World Heavyweight Champion and Sheamus against Ted Dibiase and Michael McGillicutty. Overall, quite a good edition of SmackDown, and this brand I'm particularly excited about in terms of build, closing in on SummerSlam. I'll get another weeks' worth of replies with another reply to 2002.

WWE Monday Night RAW: Monday 16th July 2012...Tensaio with a win against his Japanese friend, Yoshi Tatsu was cool. And a win for Zack Ryder against Curt Hawkins made me realise how sorry I am for Hawkins. A decent edition of WWE Superstars for the RAW side of things this week. A good promo with CM Punk kicking things off to discuss him beating the Miz at Tables, Ladders and Chairs, just to lose the WWE Championship to Dolph Ziggler. The main event picture will be certainly interesting as we grow closer to SummerSlam. Wade Barrett and the Miz being included in this segment was nice, and I'm liking the idea of a triple threat number one contender's match being made tonight for next week's illustrious RAW 1000. Roman Reigns defeating Kofi Kingston was a nice opening contest, and Zack Ryder making the save for Kingston after the match was acceptable. Hopefully Brad Maddox solely becomes the manager of Reigns, since Reigns isn't that strong a speaker, and Miz definitely doesn't need a mouthpiece. Yay, involvement from Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks "kidnapping" Little Jimmy from R-Truth, apparently. Another contendership match tonight on RAW, interesting decision. AJ Lee picking up the win was cool, I wonder if you plan to save this feud between Eve and AJ for SummerSlam, though. A bigger platform for AJ to win her first WWE Divas Championship, at least. Hopefully Tamina keeps at the top of the Divas division somewhere, too. Dolph Ziggler then getting his own celebratory promo fwith the WWE Championship was great to see as well, talking about his shocking Money in the Bank cash-in. Good promo to bring us into the second hour. Bray Wyatt defeating David Otunga was expected. Haha, Brodus Clay being "held in captivity" is a great idea. I'm hoping Clay can escape Clay's baptism angle next Monday, the Funkasaurus stuff is fine right now, almost like Rikishi in 2000. I wouldn't mind a return to the heelish, mean Brodus Clay, though. Christian defeating Johnny Curtis is cool, I'm just glad that Curtis got a shot at being on RAW, let alone against the new WWE United States Champion. This got Christian over as the new champion, in any event. Evan Bourne getting a rematch at Christian for the title next Monday is fine, I'm hoping that Christian retains, and that is the last we hear of that feud, though. Good segment with Brad Maddox, and an official face turn for Wade Barrett! It'll be interesting if Barrett can last as a face in the main event sector. CM Punk defeating The Miz and Wade Barrett was expected, although I could see Punk being screwed out of the WWE Championship, and end up having to challenge Ziggler again at SummerSlam. A decent show in all, very nice work after Money in the Bank.
WWE NXT: Wednesday 18th July 2012...Damien Sandow kicking things off with a promo after successfully retaining the NXT Championship is fine, but good decision for Seth Rollins to come out. I'm tied on my opinion of Rollins getting a shot at Sandow's title tonight, but I'm hoping that Sandow manages to sly himself away still the NXT Champion. Richie Steamboat defeating Trent Barreta is fine, I just wish that Barreta had scored the victory. Barreta needs more air time on television. I am hoping that it comes down to these two men in the Elimination Chase, screw Alex Riley. Corey Graves and Jake Carter trying to make it as the first NXT duo to be WWE Tag Team Champions is a bold move, I like the idea. I'm thinking that this will somehow feed into the crowning of first-ever NXT Tag Team Champions. JTG with a promo is fine...I wonder when he will see that nothing can really land him anywhere in a long-term plan. Big E Langston seems to be coming back soon, most likely to shut JTG up. Using JTG as a loudmouth heel is the best option right now. Also hoping to see Oliver Grey gain momentum in the near future. Paige following her outcast angle is nice. Wondering where she'll go next. Wow, a new NXT Champion? I'm tied on the decision, because I feel that Seth would have benefitted more from chasing the title for much longer, and enforced that he is the face of NXT. Rollins defeating Sandow, on the other hand, freshens up the main event scene, though I do wish that Sandow would have had a longer reign, and fought various opponents. Rollins winning hopefully means that Sandow is en route to main WWE television, though. Overall, a decent show despite the main decision of a new NXT Champion so soon.

Smackdown Review
Definitely loved how you opened the show with Dustin Rhodes, Cody Rhodes' older brother who we all know as Goldust but without any of the face paint as he addresses what his brother Cody did at RAW 1000 and how he wanted to confront his brother Cody about his attitude and cue Cody right on schedule as the brothers go back and forth about Cody's attitude but about how Dustin tarnished the Rhodes name but that Cody was going to restore dignity to it, I loved it, because Dustin wants Cody in the ring but I smell a set-up coming
Bryan beats Del Rio all be it from a distraction by the WWE Intercontinental Champion Antonio Cesaro, because it further fuels the rivalry between Cesaro and Del Rio and especially over the WWE Intercontinental Championship but Bryan needed the win because of what happened to him at RAW 1000 with Ambrose and Angle
Loved Rhodes and his cronies DiBiase & Mcgillicutty backstage talking about Dustin's challenge and about how they think that Dustin is crazy basically for even wanting to get into the ring with Cody but then also Mcgillicutty and DiBiase also getting ready for their match against Sheamus and Jericho, you are giving the WWE Tag Team Championship some credibility again restoring the prestige to it that it has lacked recently in the past few years
Cara will be in action next week with Rey in his corner, that's great, I am wondering just who Sin Cara will face but mostly if Rey will get involved in Cara's match
Reks and Hawkins getting arrested because of R-Truth, that was funny, even I have to admit
Ryback defeats JTG, adds to Ryback's undefeated streak and Ryback has been on a tear ever since bursting on the scene but I don't understand why Ryback would want Kane's mask much less want to keep it
Definitely can't wait until RAW because I want to see Brock Lesnar and John Cena interact but also because I want to see who will fill the spots for Team Maddox and Team Flair in the 5-on-5 match at SummerSlam
Wrestling Royalty (DiBiase and Mcgillicutty) defeat Sheamus and Chris Jericho to retain their WWE Tag Team Championships in what was a great match because it makes me wonder now just who could beat them for their WWE Tag Team Championships, if anyone can, but I see either Sheamus or Chris Jericho turning heel now as a result but who does it, remains to be seen
Orton and Dustin backstage, I smell a set up here, the fix is in, I smell Orton getting attacked by both Cody and Dustin, I don't know why
Kaitlyn defeats Natalya in a great match for the divas, because then it sets up Natalya to get attacked by both Eve and Kaitlyn but then AJ comes to Natalya's rescue, definitely love it, but I hope to really stack the odds against Eve in terms of retaining her WWE Divas Championship is if she defends it in a Fatal 4-Way defending her title against AJ, Natalya and Kaitlyn, because I want to see what type of a champion she can be by defending against multiple competitors because in a Fatal 4-Way Eve wouldn't even have to be pinned to lose her title and not to mention she can't get herself DQ'ed or counted out
Dustin attacked backstage, it's a fake attack, Cody and Dustin are putting on a show for everybody and Orton is falling for this hook line and sinker
Dean Ambrose vs Johnny Curtis, definitely loved the match with Ambrose picking up more momentum especially after TLC but then Daniel Bryan tries to do the 2 step on Ambrose trying to attack him and then it being announced that next week it will be Bryan vs Ambrose one more time but with Kurt Angle as the special guest referee, this is going to be great, I see Angle vs Bryan at SummerSlam with it being an instant classic but as for Ambrose, I wonder what you have in store for him at SummerSlam
I knew it, I predicted it and it came true, Dustin was never attacked and it was all a set up by Cody to get the best of Orton with Dustin levelling Orton with a low blow and Cody coming in taking advantage as they both attack Orton and then Dustin goes to get the World Heavyweight Championship belt as he straps it around his little brother Cody's waist as the 2 brothers unite as they pose over Orton's prone body to end Smackdown, now Cody has all the momentum shifting in his way as we approach closer to SummerSlam but I wouldn't be surprised if Orton takes out DiBiase or Mcgillicutty with Punt Kicks to the skull forcing them to relinquish their titles because of Orton injuring them
Either way great episode of Smackdown and I can't wait until RAW!!!!!!!!!!!!

TWT 7/29 - Brock Lesnar Returns, SmackDown Star on RAW, New NXT Champion, Former Manager Returning
- At the conclusion of last Monday's RAW 1000 event, Brock Lesnar made a shocking return to the WWE as he delivered an F-5 from John Cena. Negotiations with Lesnar have been going on for a while now, dating back to January, shortly after the "Next Big Thing" announced his retirement from Mixed Martial Arts. WWE officials were hoping to have Lesnar signed in time for WrestleMania XXVIII, though the deal was unable to be solidified by that point. Many sources claim that Lesnar has actually been signed since June, but his return was held off until RAW 1000. Lesnar's deal is said to be very limited with only certain dates being included in his contract. Among those dates is SummerSlam, where we can assume we will see Lesnar make his in-ring return.
- With the rising popularity of Ryback, WWE officials have discussed featuring the undefeated monster primarily on RAW as opposed to Smackdown. If the change is to occur, we wouldn't expect to see it until after SummerSlam.
- Last Wednesday on NXT, Seth Rollins defeated Damien Sandow to capture the NXT Championship. Many were surprised to see the title change take place, especially just one week after the NXT iPPV. The decision was said to be made due to one specific reason. Not necessarily because NXT and WWE officials are high on Rollins, but because there are currently plans to call Damien Sandow up to the main WWE roster soon.
- Several sources are reporting that Dutch Mantel has signed a contract with the WWE. Mantel was once signed to the then-WWF as Uncle Zebekiah, a manager for the Blu Brothers and later Justin "Bradshaw" Hawk. Mantel recently worked behind the scenes for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling from 2003 until 2009. It is unknown if Mantel's new role in WWE will be backstage or on-screen based.

Well I really hope for one that we get to see Brock Lesnar compete in his first match back in the WWE and especially on a grand stage such as SummerSlam, but I really hope Lesnar faces Cena at SummerSlam and if it happens, Lesnar has to go over Cena
Finally Ryback is taking off and now it looks like he is going to be switching brands and if he is, then Ryback is better suited being on RAW anyways but if he moves to RAW, they will have more faces than they do heels, that is the only reason I am against Ryback going to RAW because he just fits in on Smackdown more but if he goes to RAW, it gives him a better chance of feuding with main event superstars
Hope Rollins and Sandow both get called up to the main roster with Sandow being moved to the RAW brand and Rollins being moved over to the Smackdown brand
Yes Zeb Colter, I hope Zeb Colter becomes Jack Swagger's new manager because Swagger at this point he doesn't need Abraham Washington or the Primetime Players and with Zeb Colter, Swagger will get more of a push

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! Alright, let's see where RAW 1000 left us off. Dustin Runnels kicking off the show is a bit odd, let's see where this goes. Cody coming out saves it, I really hope he takes the title at SummerSlam. If not, he should win it by the end of the feud with Orton. Rhodes/Rhodes tonight could be decent, would be awkward seeing Dustin without his Goldust persona though. Hot opening contest with Daniel Bryan going over Alberto Del Rio with interference from Antonio Cesaro. Cesaro/Del Rio next week should be good, hopefully Cesaro retains though. I hope McGillicutty changes his name. Maybe I'm reading that segment wrong. Hawkins and Reks getting arrested for kidnapping Little Jimmy is hilarious. R-Truth has been great in this diary every since getting beaten up by Mick Foley. Simple win for Ryback, I hope he does move over to RAW during the fall as the report said. I like Ryback holding onto Kane's mask. Awesome first hour main event, Wrestling Royalty retaining the titles over Jericho and Sheamus was great. I guess we'll either see a rematch at SummerSlam, don't know what else Jericho and Sheamus have to do. I do wish some actual teams start rising up to face the tag champs though. Kaitlyn with the win is fine, I'll be okay with her winning the title soon. As long as AJ wins it first. Dustin laid out before the main event, I assume Cody and his stable had their hand in this. Johnny Curtis on TV! And he's squashed. Main highlight was the segment afterwards, huge match booked for next week. Angle should wrestle before SummerSlam though, having two return matches on that pay-per-view would swallow each other. Triple threat would be insane for the pay-per-view. Main event, this show went by quick. RAW 1000 was just so damn big. Anyway, I'll see how this Rhodes-Rhodes alliance turns out. Dustin sticking around a few more weeks to get his head punted by Orton would be fine, but I don't think him being around for the long term would benefit Wrestling Royalty. Overall, a solid fallout show from RAW 1000, more excited for next week though.

- A video package kicked off tonight's show, recapping the events of last week's RAW 1000 event. WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler managed to crawl away with his title intact after causing CM Punk to get himself disqualified. After evaluating both Ric Flair and Brad Maddox, Mr. McMahon announced a 5-on-5 Elimination Match at SummerSlam to determine who takes the General Manager position, and leading the charge for Flair and Maddox will be Wade Barrett and The Miz respectively. The Rock was unable to confront John Cena, but gained a huge measure of revenge against the man who costed him the "Once In A Lifetime" bout at WrestleMania XXVIII, John Laurinaitis. On top of that, Rock also announced his entry into the 2013 Royal Rumble match. And finally, Brock Lesnar made his shocking return to the WWE, delivering an F-5. What will be the fallout to most historical edition of RAW of all time?
- Immediately cutting to the arena here in Cincinnati, a loud "Woo!" echoed throughout the air to signal the arrival of the Nature Boy, Ric Flair. Flair made his way down to the ring, grabbing a microphone as the commentary trio of Michael Cole, Jerry "The King" Lawler, and John "Bradshaw" Layfield welcomed everyone to episode #1001 of Monday Night RAW. Flair said that last week, Mr. McMahon told both he and Brad Maddox to organize teams of five. "Vince said that we need to gather five men for a match. The way I see it is that Maddox and the Nature Boy need to gather five men for a war!" After a round of applause for the audience, Flair cut straight to the chase. "Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you all my team for SummerSlam," said Flair. Seconds later, the theme of Chris Jericho hit as Y2J made his way out to a huge ovation from the WWE Universe. Following Jericho was the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus. Zack Ryder was out next, and Kofi Kingston's entrance came afterwards. Finally, Wade Barrett's theme hit as the team captain made his way out to a great response. Barrett, Jericho, Sheamus, Ryder, and Kofi all stood side by side next to Flair, the Nature Boy's team looking very impressive.
- As Flair and his team stood in the ring, the voice of Brad Maddox could be heard with boos ensuing. "That's just fantastic, Flair. You've created a super team full of immense egos. And to cap it all off, they're representing the biggest ego-maniac in history." After Maddox gave his statement, Barrett told him that it's funny how he talks a big game when he's more than a few feet away from him. "Wade, I'm not afraid of you. Or anyone in that ring, for that matter. I'm keeping my distance because from here, I can get a good look at the curtain call for the SummerSlam failures. While I have a group of winners lined up in the back." With Flair and his team watching on, Maddox introduced his representatives for SummerSlam. "The first thing I notice, Flair, is that none of the five men you've chosen are champions. And guess what? I've got a champion. In fact, I have two...." said Maddox before the theme of Wrestling Royalty hit. Out came the WWE Tag Team Championship, Ted DiBiase and Michael McGillicutty. The two joined Maddox on the stage, making eye contact with Sheamus and Chris Jericho from a distance. After that, Roman Reigns made his way out to join them. Next, the theme of The Miz hit as the team captain marched out to the stage. Maddox stood proudly with Miz, Reigns, DiBiase, and McGillicutty, but Flair pointed something out to him. "Uh, Brad. This is a 5-on-5 match. And I may be old, but I'm not blind, so I can see that there are only four men standing by your side." Maddox told Flair not to worry about this fifth member. "Worry about the four men standing before you. Because they're all ready to take your team apart and present me with the title 'RAW General Manager.' And do you know what the best part of all of this is, Flair? I can finally prove all of you wrong. I can prove that-" "Oh will you just shut the hell up!" shouted Jericho towards Maddox. As the audience erupted with chants of "Y2J," Maddox interrupted. "It's so nice to see you again, Jericho. Remember me? I was the janitor who at Extreme Rules, you rudely interrupted," said Maddox. "You missed a spot," Maddox said in voice mocking Jericho's. "Actually, Bradford. What I said was 'You missed a spot, junior.'" The audience popped as Maddox could be seen fuming. "Bradford, I know you're upset And I know you won't do anything about it. So if you want to take any of the ass clowns that you trust with your future at SummerSlam and put them against Y2J in this ring tonight, then by all means, go right ahead!" The Cincinnati audience popped as Maddox told Jericho that if he's feeling brave tonight, then he's got his wish. "Tonight, it will be Chris Jericho one on one with my team captain. The man who will lead Team Maddox to victory at SummerSlam, The Miz!" Jericho and Miz stared at one another before Wade Barrett made a statement. "Now I didn't come here tonight just to stand with the men who I will go into battle with in three weeks at SummerSlam and watch Brad Maddox hide like a coward behind his representatives. And if The Miz is going to be in action tonight, then I give me someone from the pile of rubbish on the stage." After Barrett laid out his challenge, Team Maddox huddled up to discuss who would go up against the English brawler. Maddox and his team then left to the back, all except Ted DiBiase. DiBiase marched down to the ring, ready to meet Barrett in our opening contest.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (Team Flair, Team Maddox, Fifth Member)
- WADE BARRETT DEF. WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPION TED DIBIASE: A very solid, hard hitting bout to kick things off on Monday Night RAW, episode 1001. Throughout the match, cameras curt to the locker rooms of both Team Flair and Team Maddox, the two teams watching as one of their members did battle. Barrett attempted to hit the Wasteland, but DiBiase slid off of his shoulders and planted him with a Bridge German Suplex. After Barrett kicked out, he crawled to a corner and used the ropes to pull himself up to his feet. DiBiase charged towards him with a Corner Splash, but Barrett caught him in his arms and walked into the center of the ring. Once there, Barrett was finally able to hit the Wasteland and covered DiBiase to get the victory.
- The audience popped for Wade Barrett as he stood to his feet, standing tall in victory here tonight. Cameras cut to the locker room of Team Flair once again as both Ric Flair and Chris Jericho were shown applauding Wade for his win. However, Ryder, Kofi, and Sheamus remained silent. Flair stopped clapping soon, asking the three of them if there was a problem. "How can we trust Wade?" asked Ryder. "Think about it, Flair. Two months ago, the guy threatened to take your head off. And I'm sure that he has a reason to screw over every single one of us in this room right now," added Kofi. Jericho stepped in to defend his former NXT rookie. "I think I can understand why you all are paranoid, but look at Wade from another angle. He may not like anyone in this room, and that could include me. But, none of you every tried to sabotage his career like Brad Maddox has. His goal for SummerSlam isn't to make any friends. It's to get revenge on Maddox. We'll all probably never exchange Christmas cards with him, but if we trust Wade at SummerSlam, then I guarantee you all. Good things will come about," said Jericho.
- A graphic was shown for a huge tag team match tonight. CM Punk and United States Champion Christian team up to battle WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler and Evan Bourne, later tonight on RAW.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (Wade Barrett, Ted DiBiase, Chris Jericho)
- Returning to RAW, Brad Maddox and his SummerSlam team were shown in their locker room, telling Ted DiBiase not to worry about his loss tonight. "You're still one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions. You're still 'Wrestling Royalty.' And most of all, you're still 'Team Maddox,'" said Brad. The Miz then told everyone that no matter what happens between now and SummerSlam, the only date that truly matters is August 19th. "Flair and his squash can claim that they're on the same page, but the moment of truth comes, they will fall apart. While we will stand united as one at SummerSlam and lead Brad Maddox back to where he belongs as the General Manager of RAW." The team then left the room, all but Michael McGillicutty. "Brad, I need a favor," said the other half of the WWE Tag Team Championships.
- AJ LEE AND NATALYA DEF. DIVAS CHAMPION EVE AND KAITLYN: One week after being screwed out of the Divas Championship by Kaitlyn, AJ Lee was looking for revenge against both her former best friend and the reigning champion. After Natalya made the hot tag to AJ, the crazy Diva was able to take control, hitting Kaitlyn with the Shining Wizard to capture the victory.
- AJ Lee and Natalya both raised their arms in victory following the match, celebrating their win as Eve made her way up the entrance ramp with her Divas Championship. The commentary unit noted that Eve may be looking at her next challenge as this Friday on SmackDown, AJ, Natalya, and Kaitlyn will all do battle in a Triple Threat Match. And following that bout, Eve will be allowed to choose the No. 1 Contender for her title.
- Backstage, AW was shown in the locker room area with the Prime Time Players, claiming that it must have taken him at least four days and twelves showers to get the stench of Rikishi's "caboose" out of his face. "It's all good, though. Because now, with RAW ushering in a new era, All World Promotions will be leading the charge!" said AW. Soon, Jack Swagger walked into the room. "Swag, why are you so late? You know I like having my clientele here early and ready to work," said AW. "I'm here to request my release from All World Promotions," said Swagger. AW was at a loss for words, but Swagger assured him that it was nothing personal. "This has nothing to do with what happened last week with Too Cool, or anything with you guys for that matter. This is just a decision that I feel is best for me. A decision that I made as a 'Real American.'" AW told Swagger that if that's what he wanted, then that's perfectly fine with him. "Me and the Prime Time Players wish you the best of luck, Swag," said AW before patting Swagger on the back.
- Cutting to another camera, CM Punk was shown walking down a corridor when he was met by the United States Champion, Christian. The two stared at one another for a bit before Captain Charisma broke the silence. "I know we've had our differences recently. You made me look like a fool earlier this year, and ruined any dreams I had of becoming WWE Champion. But now, I'm the United States Champion. And I didn't need John Laurinaitis or anyone to help me get there. We don't have to like each other, but if working together means overcoming Dolph Ziggler and Evan Bourne, then I suggest we do the smart thing and work as a unit." Punk stared at Christian for a bit longer before telling him that he doesn't regret a single thing he did this year to make Christian's life a living hell. However, that's exactly what he wants to do to Dolph Ziggler after screwing him out of the WWE Championship last week on RAW 1000. "I don't like you, Christian. I really can't stand you one bit. And I don't care for the United States Championship. But I do care for the WWE Championship, and as far as I'm concerned, Dolph is a dead man walking with my gold around his waist. And if I have to dismiss everyone second of rest until I have it back, then you're damn right I'll put our differences aside to get what's mine." Punk continued on, he and Christian ready to meet Evan Bourne and the WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (Michael McGillicutty, AJ Lee, Eve, CM Punk)
- A promo was shown for this Friday's edition of SmackDown. After shocking the WWE Universe last week by betraying World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton, what will Dustin Runnels have to say on his actions and his allegiance with his brother, Cody Rhodes? Plus, the Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle makes his return to SmackDown to officiate the rematch between Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose. Friday Night SmackDown, this Friday on SyFy.
- CM PUNK AND UNITED STATES CHAMPION CHRISTIAN DEF. WWE CHAMPION DOLPH ZIGGLER AND EVAN BOURNE: A great tag team bout to round out things for the first hour tonight on RAW. After Christian launched himself over the top rope and onto Bourne, the official turned his attention to the two of them as Ziggler grabbed the WWE Championship. Much like last week, he stalked CM Punk as he stirred to his feet. Punk was able to kick Dolph in the mid-section, preventing the shot from connecting. Punk picked up the title, much like last week, but tossed it to the side this time. He then hoisted Ziggler up to his shoulders, hitting the Go To Sleep to get the victory.
- The audience erupted as Punk stood to his feet after scoring a pinfall victory over the WWE Champion, Dolph Ziggler. Punk then grabbed a microphone from ringside before sitting cross-legged next to Ziggler's motionless body. "Hey, Dolph. I certainly hope that my knee didn't hit you too hard, because I have something to say that I want you to listen to and thoroughly understand. Last week, you screwed over a lot of people. You screwed over the fans who tuned into the 1000th episode of RAW to see a great championship match. You screwed yourself over by throwing away the opportunity to prove yourself to the world as a legitimate and deserving champion. And you screwed me out of my rematch. And now, I'm going to screw you over. Because at SummerSlam, your antics will result in your downfall. It's you and I, one on one again for the WWE Championship. And guess what, Dolph? The second that you get yourself counted out or disqualified, the WWE Championship is coming home with the best in the world." Punk placed the microphone on the ground as he stood up with the crowd roaring behind him. He then scooped up the WWE Championship, raising it high over Ziggler. The rematch for the WWE Title is now set for SummerSlam. And if Ziggler gets disqualified or counted out, the title will change hands!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, Christian)
- Returning from the commercial break, a shot of the parking lot was shown as we await the arrival of the "Next Big Thing" Brock Lesnar. Will Lesnar show up? And if he does, what will happen between he and John Cena tonight?
- Cutting to the arena, Derrick Bateman was shown already in the ring, awaiting the arrival of his opponent. The theme of Bray Wyatt hit as he made his way out to the stage. "Once upon a time, there lived many children who sought after the touch of ol' Bray Wyatt's heart. Many crawled, but very few had the courage to make the sacrifices and lend me their hands! I know it took me a while to reach for my own hand....haha.....and I waited and waited for the day that a beast presented itself to me with the opportunity to cleanse its soul of all wrong doings. I looked far and wide through the deepest depths of the concrete jungles for said beast...and now.....its mine. The beast has been washed, saved, baptized, made aware of its mistakes and what it must do to redeem itself. With that being said, I give the world, the first piece of the 'Children of Wyatt'.....Brodus Clay!" Brodus then made his way out to the stage in wardrobe similar to Wyatt's, the Funkasaurus now extinct it would seem.
- BRODUS CLAY W/ BRAY WYATT DEF. DERRICK BATEMAN: The new Brodus Clay looked very impressive here tonight, absolutely ripping Bateman apart. With Bateman down, Bray Wyatt lifted his arms up as Brodus ran the ropes. When Wyatt thrust his arms down, Wyatt delivered a Running Splash to pick up the victory.
- Wyatt rolled into the ring as Clay stared down at Bateman with no remorse in his eyes. Wyatt ran his hand over the head of Brodus, faintly saying "Bless you, my child." The duo then made their way up the entrance ramp, leaving the WWE Universe in an uneasy state.
- Backstage, Wade Barrett was shown in his locker room area when Chris Jericho made his way in. He told Barrett about what happened earlier in the night with a majority of Team Flair not trusting him. "Most of them believed that you shouldn't be trusted at SummerSlam. But I know you, Wade. I brought you up in the WWE and helped shaped you into the competitor that you are today. And I made sure that everyone in the locker room understands that you may not see eye to eye with everyone, but you're out for the same thing that they are, and that's keeping Maddox out of power." Barrett chuckled a bit, telling Jericho that he does appreciate him standing up for him, but it wasn't necessary. "I don't care if anyone in that locker room takes a liking to me. Because I'll be the first to admit that I have plenty of reasons to take the rest of Team Flair and bash their craniums into a wall. But I'm not a part of this team to be buddies with everyone. I'm here for one reason, and that's the give Brad Maddox and the rest of imbeciles what they have coming to them for stripping me of my WWE Championship and attempting to ruin my career. So as far as I'm concerned, you can be with me or against me. It doesn't make a difference." Jericho smiled, telling Barrett that he hasn't changed a bit since NXT. "And that's exactly the Wade Barrett that I want on Team Flair at SummerSlam," said Jericho. Y2J then left the scene as he meets The Miz, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (Brodus Clay, Children of Wyatt)
- Returning to Monday Night RAW, another shot of the parking lot was shown, still with no sign of Brock Lesnar at the moment.
- CHRIS JERICHO W/ RIC FLAIR DEF. THE MIZ W/ BRAD MADDOX VIA DISQUALIFICATION: A fantastic main event to the action side of things on RAW. With Flair and Maddox at ringside, Jericho and Miz were both determined to gain the momentum for their team as a whole with SummerSlam just three weeks away. As Miz was attempting a DDT, Jericho managed to counter it into a Tiger Driver. He then grabbed Miz's legs, locking in the Walls of Jericho. Miz came close to the ropes, but Jericho walked back into the center of the ring. The "Awesome One" looked as if he were on the verge of submitting, but that was when Wrestling Royalty hit the ring and attacked him, forcing the official to call for the bell.
- The audience showed their displeasure for the finish as DiBiase and McGillicutty assaulted Jericho, Maddox looking on in great amusement. Kofi Kingston and Zack Ryder hit the ring, going after the WWE Tag Team Champions. Miz was soon back on his feet and aided Wrestling Royalty, getting the better of Team Flair. Sheamus then charged towards the ring, evening things up. Roman Reigns was out next, Team Maddox now taking control of Team Flair once again. Finally, the theme of Wade Barrett hit as he rushed to the ring. Jericho was soon back on his feet as the fight was now 5-on-4. Jericho and Sheamus clotheslined DiBiase and McGillicutty out of the ring, Kofi and Ryder dropkicked Reigns out, and Barrett grabbed Miz by his head and threw him over the top rope. Maddox gathered his team together, all of them retreating up the entrance ramp. Ric Flair joined his team in the ring as they stood as one, showing what they're capable of as a unit come SummerSlam.
- Cutting to the parking lot area, a limo was shown pulling up. Many expected Brock Lesnar to exit the limo, but we instead saw John Laurinaitis. The former Executive Vice President of Talent Relations is here for the second week in a row, but why?
- COMMERCIAL BREAK (Chris Jericho, The Miz, Team Flair)
- A promo was shown for SummerSlam, live Sunday August 19th, only on pay-per-view.
- Returning to RAW, Justin Roberts introduced the former Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis. "Big Johnny" made his way out to the stage to a chorus of boos. "My name is Mr. John Laurinaitis. I am the former Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and General Manager of Monday Night RAW. And just for the record, perhaps if I were still the General Manager, we wouldn't have this fiasco with Ric Flair and Brad Maddox. I mean, I was the only man truly qualified for the job," said Laurinaitis, the audience not too keen on his self-appreciation. "But that's besides the point. As you all saw last week, I made my triumphant return to RAW. Albeit it was spoiled by The Rock. But tonight, there is no Rock. But there is tremendous news. As I said last week, I had entered negotiations with Mr. McMahon concerning a potential return to the WWE. And I'm proud to announce that the negotiations are now complete, and a miracle has happened. Ladies and gentlemen, I am now once again a part of the WWE." The audience bombarded Laurinaitis with boos, clearly not in favor of him being back in the WWE once again. "And after my negotiations were completed, I helped negotiate another man's contract. And through my assistance, he is now signed to an iron clad contract. I would like for you all to stand up and put your hands together for the man who also made his return last week, Brock Lesnar!"
- The theme of Lesnar hit as he made his way out to the stage, receiving a mixed reaction. Lesnar shook Laurinaitis' hand before heading down to the ring, Laurinaitis leaving to the back. After Lesnar was settled in the ring, he was handed a microphone. "Last Monday, the world watched as the WWE put on the most historical show in RAW history. And it included a moment that was not just the most historical in RAW history, but in WWE history as well. And that was the return of the 'Next Big Thing,' the 'Fighter,' the 'Ass Kicker,' Brock Lesnar." The audience's response was split once again as Lesnar continued on, saying that there was only one reason why he returned. "And before you get any ideas, it wasn't for any of you. Because quite honestly, I don't give a crap about any of you. It wasn't because I missed walking through that curtain and coming down to this ring. And it wasn't for the money, because I'm already filthy stinkin' rich. It was-" Lesnar was unable to finish as the theme of John Cena hit to another mixed reaction, but more so positive. Cena made his way out to the stage, staring down Lesnar made running into the ring. Cena grabbed a microphone, telling Lesnar to go on. "Don't mind me, Brock. Go on. I'm just here because I wanted to be here when you explain to the world why you came back to the WWE and why I was your target," said Cena. "You want an answer, Cena? I came back because the WWE needs to be legitimized. This company doesn't need 'wrestlers' or 'sports entertainers.' What the WWE needs is something that they've been too afraid to have, and that's a fighter. Someone who won't put up with anyone's bs, and kick their ass on the spot. And that's exactly what I did to you last week." Cena asked Lesnar if that was it. "That's your reason? Because the WWE needed a fighter? You know, Brock. I think of it like this. Does the WWE need a figher, or did you need a new place to fight?" said Cena as a loud "ooh" emerged from the audience. "And a bigger question is this. Why me? Why am I in your sights?" he asked. Lesnar told Cena that it's because he's the WWE's sorry excuse for a poster boy. "You're the face of this company, and that's a damn shame. And Brock Lesnar is not starting at the bottom and working his way up. He's starting at the top and taking over. Sooner than later, you and the rest of the world will be referring to me as the new face of the WWE. And if I were you, John, I'd show a bit more respect to the man who made my career." Cena seemed a bit confused, asking Lesnar just what the hell he meant. "Don't act stupid, John. You shoulder know better than anyone else what I'm talking about. It's not a coincidence that the exact moment I left this company is when your rise to the top began. Me leaving opened the doors for you. If I had stayed, you wouldn't be anything more than a piss stain on the WWE." Cena told Lesnar that that may be a possibility. "Or, things would've stayed the same. I would have still risen to the top of the WWE because I busted my ass to get here. Because I didn't leave the company high and dry when they instilled their trust in me like you did. I love this company. I eat, sleep, and breathe the WWE. And I don't see why someone like you, who doesn't give a damn about it, should be deemed the new face of the company. If you're here to take over the WWE, then my job is to save it from the plague known as Brock Lesnar." The audience popped for Cena's speech, majority of them taking his side. "Fine, Cena. If you want to settle this, then we''ll settle this. And we'll do it at SummerSlam. But when I have you down on this mat, your body broken and your face covered in blood, don't cry like the little bitch you are," said Lesnar. Cena simply smiled before slapping him across his face! Lesnar then immediately took Cena down to the mat, striking him with a few heavy shots. Cena rolled out of it, mounting on top of Lesnar and getting a few shots of his own. Dozens of officials and staff hit the ring to separate the two, but it wasn't enough. Soon, a huge portion of the locker room emptied out into the ring. They were able to keep them apart momentarily, but Lesnar broke free and jumped towards Cena. Cena and Lesnar were engulfed by the sea of officials, staff, and superstars, but it was clear that they were out for one another. Chaos has broken out here tonight, and one can only imagine what will happen between Cena and Lesnar at SummerSlam!

Why do I get the feeling that Barrett is the 5th man for Team Maddox and that Barrett will somehow screw Team Flair turning on his teammates? Because like you said Barrett can't be trusted and I have a feeling he is going to turn against Flair costing Flair his job with Barrett pulling the wool over all of our eyes, I just know that I am right
Barrett beating DiBiase, I love that because I love this new bad-ass face turn of Barrett's because Barrett as a face he is really starting to come into his own as a face but I don't see this face turn of Barrett's lasting long, because at SummerSlam I see him turning heel again costing Team Flair the victory costing Flair his job
See even Barrett's teammates don't even trust him but Jericho seems to have faith in his former NXT rookie by saying that he has one goal and that is Maddox with Jericho and the rest of them having that same goal of getting rid of him but that they have to trust Barrett but I can't see how they can, because it will only be a matter of time before Barrett stabs them in the back because just look at his past and everything he has done to each and every one of his teammates
AJ and Natalya defeating the WWE Divas Champion Eve and Kaitlyn in a Tag Team Match is great but that this Friday on Smackdown it is going to be a Triple Threat Match with Eve facing AJ and Kaitlyn with her getting the choice of who she wants to face, I was hoping Natalya would get another chance at the gold or at the very least that Eve would have to defend her WWE Divas Championship in a Fatal 4-Way
Yes Swagger is no longer a part of All World Promotions because I feel all they have done is hold him back from his true potential, and now Swagger is going to come into his "Real American" character, this is great, and now Swagger can have Zeb Colter as his manager, this is really the best thing Swagger could have done and now hopefully if he has Colter in his corner Swagger can become more vicious, more aggressive and more dangerous in the ring than he ever has been, maybe a future Swagger/Angle feud with Swagger being the Real American and Kurt Angle representing America and just what it is all about, Swagger and Angle can put on a wrestling clinic and not to mention they both have the same finisher the Ankle Lock
CM Punk and Christian backstage before their match against Ziggler and Bourne, I loved the interaction between Punk and Christian given their pasts but Punk is that determined to get to Ziggler but I would have thought that Christian and Bourne's rivalry would be over but you seem to be continuing that even after Christian beat Bourne in that classic of a Ladder Match for the WWE United States Championship, but all I know is that Christian needs a new #1 Contender for his WWE United States Championship, someone who is not Evan Bourne
Yes can't wait until Smackdown because I want to see what Goldust or for that matter what Dustin has to say for himself especially after turning on the World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton and siding with his little brother Cody Rhodes, but mostly I want to see Angle back in a WWE ring this week on Smackdown refereeing Bryan vs Ambrose because Angle made his name on Smackdown and to see him back on Smackdown, it is going to lead Angle to feud with one of these men
Punk and Christian defeating Ziggler and Bourne, I loved it because of the announcement that now it leads to Punk facing Ziggler for the WWE Championship again but this time at SummerSlam in a rematch where if Dolph Ziggler manages to get himself disqualified or even counted out, Ziggler will lose the WWE Championship and Punk will win it back because now it makes their SummerSlam encounter more fair but also it makes it all that much more exciting because you have a Candidate for Match of the Year because I can see these 2 putting on a clinic
Loving this new Brodus Clay, as he is now officially the "First Child of Clay" and Clay he just seemingly destroyed Derrick Bateman with ease, it makes me wonder if anyone will be able to stop Wyatt or for that matter Brodus Clay
Jericho and Barrett backstage, I loved it, but Jericho is just setting himself up for disappointment because he should know better than to trust his former rookie, because Jericho taught Barrett a lot, and I am sure Barrett is using just what Jericho taught him against him, like HELLO BARRETT IS THE 5TH MAN FOR TEAM MADDOX!!!!!!!!!!!! A screwjob is coming, if you can't smell it from a mile away, I know I can
Jericho and The Miz ending in DQ keeps the both of them strong really heading into SummerSlam, so I can't argue with that especially with Wrestling Royalty coming out to attack Jericho as they get in on that with Miz but then Ryder and Kofi making the save only for Reigns to come out and then Sheamus coming out and then Barrett finally coming out and Team Flair standing tall with Team Maddox going into retreat, I loved it
Yes Big Johnny is back in the WWE, but also Brock Lesnar too, and then I loved Lesnar's reasoning for explaining just why he came back to the WWE and why he felt the need to target Cena because Brock wants to be the "New Face of the WWE" and that Cena only has that role because of Brock because Brock left and if he had stayed, Cena wouldn't be where he is at right now, you have to admit Brock has a point but at the same time Cena has a point too because it would have been a matter of time before Cena came up to the top but then afterwards it leading to all out mayhem between Cena and Lesnar, I love it because it sets the stage for SummerSlam
No doubt Cena and Lesnar's match will be the main event of SummerSlam with it closing out the show but please will you please, please have Lesnar go over Cena

Good edition of Raw there. The Cena/Lesnar confrontation was well done, especially after Lesnar pointed out how Cena's rise began after he left. Plus they've only had one match together, at Backlash 2003. That should be a good match at SummerSlam and hopefully Lesnar goes over. Good tag match with CM Punk getting a win over Ziggler to build toward the title rematch. Also some great build toward the 5-on-5 match, with the different members going at it trying to get that edge. I really hope tg11 isn't right, that you're going to have Barrett swerve Flair ad have Maddox win. I don't think we need yet another heel authority figure. Overall some nice stuff here.

- Following the WWE signature intro, we cut directly to the Full Sail Arena for the introduction of tonight's special guest. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome....the WWE Champion, Dolph Ziggler!" Boos ensued as Ziggler's theme hit, the Show Off making his way out to the stage. He made his way down to the ring, marking the first time ever that the WWE Champion makes an appearance on NXT on ION Television. As William Regal and Byron Saxton formally welcomed everyone to the show, Ziggler grabbed a microphone as the volume of his music lowered. "Finally, there's a reason to watch this show. Because who wants to see a bunch of rookies compete, right? Ratings are skyrocketing, my stock is going through the roof, and your girlfriend is entering her non-PG fantasy land because the WWE Champion is in the building!" After the audience showed their displeasure for the arrogant champion, Dolph said that there's really only one reason why he's here tonight. "Last week on RAW 1000, three nobodies from this show were invited for some reason and given valuable television time. Television time that could have been given to me, but that's besides the point. And among those nobodies was your NXT Champion. A man that you all, for some reason, go nuts for, Seth Rollins." Ziggler's statement was proven true as the audience popped for the mention of Rollins. "And this nobody had the audacity to say that one day, he will be WWE Champion. Listen up, kid. I'm not sure if it's that blonde streak that's affecting your train of thought, but the only man who will be WWE Champion today, this year, next year, and all of eternity is me. You are nothing, and that championship that you carry around is nothing. Your 15 seconds of fame are up, and I suggest you join all of us back in that world of reality." Ziggler was soon cut off by the arrival of Seth Rollins. The NXT Champion made his way out to huge ovation, coming face to face with the WWE Champion. "Dolph, I think it's pretty ironic that you of all people are telling me that my blonde die is affecting my brain." After the audience laughed a bit, Rollins continued on. "And I couldn't but overhear you refer to me as a nobody. And in some ways, maybe you're right. I'm not a huge superstar like you, and I'm certainly not the WWE Champion like you are. But I am on my way to becoming the WWE's next breakout star, and I am the NXT Champion. And I'm on my way to becoming what you are. Someday, I will be a huge superstar. Maybe even bigger then you, Dolph. And someday, hell will freeze over because I will one day have the honor and privilege of calling myself the WWE Champion!" Ziggler then told Rollins that he never realized this, but there's something else about him that irks him greatly. "I look at you, and I don't just see a nobody. I see a little CM Punk." Ziggler may have been surprised by Rollins' reaction to that statement. "I take that as a compliment, Dolph. Because in a fair fight with the odds even, you can't beat Punk." After the audience reacted, Ziggler lashed out at the NXT Champion. "Are you serious right now. Are you, a damn nobody, suggesting that I can't beat you?" Rollins told Ziggler that that's exactly what he's saying. "Alright, kid," said Ziggler. "You want another 15 seconds of fame? You can have them. Tonight, in this ring, you're going to realize why you aren't anything right now and never will be." Ziggler dropped his microphone before making his way up the entrance ramp as our main event is set. For the first time ever, the WWE Champion will go one on one with the NXT Champion as Dolph Ziggler meets Seth Rollins tonight!
- Backstage, Richie Steamboat was shown watching a TV monitor when Briley Pierce approached him. "Richie, I know you have the Elimination Chase match up next, but I have to get your take on what Dolph Ziggler just said. I mean you were one of the three NXT standouts that he just referred to as 'nobodies.'" Richie said that he's glad Ziggler is here tonight. "Because now, I can show him that he's wrong. That anybody who doubts me is wrong. I don't care if it's Alex Riley or Trent Barreta that I have to eliminate. I'm going to advance to the final stage of the Elimination Chase, and go on to become the NXT Champion. And I don't care if Dolph Ziggler or anyone else doesn't believe in me. I'll make them a believer." Richie left the interview scene, clearly on fire and ready to compete in the second stage of the Elimination Chase, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- ELIMINATION CHASE - TRENT BARRETA DEF. ALEX RILEY AND RICHIE STEAMBOAT (RILEY IS ELIMINATED): The second stage of the Elimination Chase match took place here as we saw a great match with all three men showing why they deserve to be the No. 1 Contender to the NXT Championship. Riley stuck his head out of the second rope to grab Richie, but was hit with a Enziguri from the "Son of the Dragon." The dazed Riley turned around and was hit with a Running High Knee from Barreta go give him the victory.
- Barreta rolled out of the ring as the audience booed for the finish, his arm being raised by the official. Riley remained down on the mat as he is now officially out of the Elimination Chase. Richie looked on at Barreta as we now know that at some point in the future, the two of them will compete for the right to call themselves the No. 1 Contender for the NXT Championship.
- Backstage, General Manager Ricardo Rodriguez was shown in his office with all seven of the NXT Divas, holding a box in his hands. Ricardo informed them of a new concept that he was bringing to NXT. He then opened the box to reveal a tiar. "What I've decided is that over the next month, wins and losses among all seven of you will be recorded and kept track of. And that includes matches at NXT live events. Once that's over, the top four Divas will go on to compete in a Fatal Four Way match. And to the winner goes the tiara, and the title 'Queen of NXT.'" Ricardo noted that because of her victory last week, Skyler Moon is already in the lead. "Up next, there will be a Fatal Four Way match. Raquel, Audrey, Sofia, and Paige." Now understanding of the concept, all seven Divas left the room as the four that Ricardo just mentioned will compete against each other, next.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for this Friday's edition of SmackDown. After aligning himself with his brother Cody Rhodes, what will Dustin Runnels have to say to both the WWE Universe and the World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton? Plus, Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose do battle once again, this time with Kurt Angle as the special guest referee. Friday Night SmackDown, this Friday on SyFy.
- SOFIA CORTEZ (1-0) DEF. RAQUEL DIAZ (0-1), AUDREY MARIE (0-1), AND PAIGE (0-1): With Skyler Moon already in the lead of this month long series for the "Queen of NXT" title, all four Divas were looking to get ahead of the other competitors. After Paige planted Raquel with a Neckbreaker on the outside, Sofia hit Audrey in the ring with a Wheelbarrow DDT to pick up the victory.
- The audience popped for Sofia as she stood tall in victory, chalking one victory for her in this series. Sofia now joins Skyler Moon in first place, while Paige, Raquel, Audrey, Sasha, and Emma all sit below with no victories at the moment.
- A graphic was shown for tonight's main event. It's champion vs. champion as WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler goes up against NXT Champion Seth Rollins.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- At this time, the RAW Rebound was shown. One week after making his shocking return to the WWE, Brock Lesnar gave the world an explanation for his sudden return. Lesnar claimed that his purpose is to "legitimize" the WWE, starting with the poster boy, John Cena. After a war of words, the two agreed to settle the score at SummerSlam. Cena struck first with a slap to Lesnar, resulting in all out war the required officials, staff, and even superstars to restore order.
- OLIVER GREY DEF. KASSIUS OHNO: During Ohno's entrance, he and William Regal locked eyes as the last time they encountered one another was at the NXT iPPV, where Regal had a few unpleasant words for Ohno on commentary. Oliver Grey brought his A game tonight, taking it to Ohno and showing that he has the potential to be a major player on NXT. After eating a big boot, Grey stumbled to his feet as Ohno removed his elbow pad, ready to strike with the KO Elbow. However, Regal wouldn't allow it as he sat up from his chair at the announce table, making his way down to ringside. Regal tried to climb onto the ring apron, but Ohno noticed him and attempted to hit him with the KO Elbow. Fortunately for Regal, he was able to dodge it in time. As Ohno shouted a Regal, Grey rolled him up from behind to get the shocking victory.
- The audience erupted as Grey rolled to the outside. Ohno's eyes looked as if they were going to pop out of his head as he sat in disbelief. Grey was ecstatic, hugging Regal at ringside as the two Englishmen embraced. Ohno stared at Regal and Grey with anger in his eyes, hungry for revenge.
- Backstage, NXT Champion Seth Rollins was shown making his way down to the ring. He meets WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler, next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for SummerSlam, live Sunday August 19th, only on pay-per-view.
- Returning to NXT, Seth Rollins was shown once again backstage near the entrance curtain, warming up one final time before he competes in one of the biggest matches of his career. Suddenly, he was approached by Trent Barreta. Barreta reminded Rollins of his victory earlier tonight, and the fact that he is one step closer to becoming his next challenger. "Talk is cheap, Trent. You haven't won anything yet. When the time comes, prove yourself and beat Richie Steamboat. Prove yourself and beat me. Prove yourself and become the NXT Champion. It's all about proving yourself, and that's what I'm about to do right now." Rollins' music hit as he left the scene, Barreta still looking on at the champion.
- WWE CHAMPION DOLPH ZIGGLER DEF. NXT CHAMPION SETH ROLLINS: A historical occasion as for the first time ever, the WWE Champion competed against the NXT Champion. The match was nothing short of amazing as the Full Sail audience chanted "This is awesome" towards the end. After Rollins hit the Blackout, Ziggler managed to place his foot on the bottom rope in time to break the pin attempt. Rollins had to ask himself at that point "How do I put Dolph away and make myself a star?" He had an idea as he dragged Ziggler towards the center of the ring, ascending up to the top ropes. Rollins attempted to hit a Corkscrew 450 Splash, but Ziggler moved out of the way as the NXT Champion crashed onto the canvas. Ziggler was then able to plant Rollins with a Zig Zag to finally score the victory.
- A sense of disappointment came over the Full Sail Arena as Ziggler stirred to his feet while being handed back his WWE Champion. The Show Off made his way up the entrance ramp, slicking his hair back and flicking his hands towards Rollins. After Ziggler left to the back, Rollins began stirring to his feet as the audience gave him a standing ovation for his effort. Suddenly, what looked to be a proud moment in the career of Seth Rollins was ruined by Damien Sandow, who hit the ring from the audience. He struck Rollins behind his left knee as the NXT Champion went down. Sandow, who we haven't seen since he lost the NXT Title two weeks ago, stomped away on Rollins before planting him with the Terminus. The crowd booed heavily as Sandow grabbed the NXT Championship, standing tall with it over the body of Rollins.

NXT Review
- Love Dolph Ziggler the WWE Champion showing up on NXT because he is bringing in ratings and I love how Dolph Ziggler basically ripped the WWE NXT Champion Seth Rollins but then cue Rollins and then Ziggler comparing Rollins to CM Punk, that comparison is not that far off because Rollins to me he reminds me a whole lot like The Best in the World CM Punk and I love Rollins' insults that he directed towards Dolph and it turning into tonight's main event that being Rollins vs Ziggler, should be a Match of the Night candidate for sure
- Richie Steamboat he is my pick to win the NXT Elimination Chase, the Son of the Dragon, 2nd generation superstar, the business is in his blood with his dad being a WWE Hall of Famer Ricky the Dragon Steamboat, Richie is destined for greatness but I really think Richie he would benefit by turning heel and moving to Smackdown where he can align himself with Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, and Michael Mcgillicutty and the 4 of them would definitely be Wrestling Royalty
- Trent Barretta beating both Alex Riley and Richie Steamboat means Trent is all that much more closer to being the new #1 Contender for the WWE NXT Championship, but I have been enjoying Barretta as a heel now
- The NXT Divas you just gotta love the NXT Divas because they are the divas of the future and any one of them could be WWE Divas Champion in the future, but which diva will be the breakout diva of NXT and get called up to either RAW or Smackdown?
- Grey gets the win over Ohno, I love it, but at this point to be perfectly frank and honest, Kassius Ohno doesn't need to saddle himself with being on NXT, I mean this is the man who took John Cena to the limit and could have beaten him, so I don't understand why he is even still on NXT to be perfectly honest but I love Ohno and Regal's exchanges because they are so funny
- Ziggler beats Rollins in a great match-up, the present of WWE taking on the future of WWE, and when they were chanting this is awesome, it actually was because this match-up was back and forth and Rollins the NXT Champion took the WWE Champion Ziggler to the limit, and Ziggler is picking up momentum heading into SummerSlam beating Rollins but I wonder if you are going to have any other big name superstars show up on NXT in the future? If so, then great because it really plugs NXT as a show
- Overall great NXT show and I can't wait until Smackdown and RAW!!!!!!!!!!!

With me being busy, I've lost track of a few things. So I'll give you a better reply on the next Raw you do. But commenting on the matches for SummerSlam-- Brock Lesnar versus John Cena is obviously a huge Main Event, and unlike reality, I think you'll give this one to Lesnar. I fully expect Dolph Ziggler to retain the WWE Championship, he should have a good reign. I'm unsure on Randy Orton versus Cody Rhodes as Rhodes has definitely been looking like a decent World Champion contender recently, but I'm still not sure if he's ready. Rey Mysterio just has to win his final match in the WWE, but then again, it would give Sin Cara a huge rub and would possibly raise him to a higher level. The tag team match is looking big, and I'm hoping that Ric Flair takes full control, he appears to have the better team in all honesty, outside of Zack Ryder that is.

WWE RAW 1000: Monday 23rd July 2012...New-ish layout? I think that these could really use a date though. I like the new graphics though, so nice. Good opening promo with D-Generation X reuniting properly with Triple H and Shawn Michaels being accompanied by Billy Gunn and Road Dogg of the New Age Outlaws. Haha, good call in having Brad Maddox be the recipient of a beatdown from DX, very good opening promo to kick things off. Up next, very glad to see Christian defend the WWE United States Championship successfully against Evan Bourne, not a complaint. Edge returning was great to see, I do however think that the Conchairto spot was a little too much though. I think just having Edge and Christian celebrate would have had the fans in a frenzy. Very pro-babyface RAW so far. I like the segment with Richie Steamboat, Seth Rollins and Paige, a nice segment showcasing the NXT roster. The Miz and Roman Reigns defeating Zack Ryder and Kofi Kingston, not bad. I do however think that Reigns should have picked up the win to further incorporate his dominant demeanor, though. Yay, All World Promotions is back. And the Prime Time Players and Jack Swagger pick up a win against Too Cool? I like it. The Usos making the save for their daddy, Rikishi was expected though. Another nostalgia moment, this show is becoming full of them. Up next, a solid promo with John Laurinaitis making his return to RAW. The Rock then interrupting was fantastic, and I'm glad that you decided to give the circumstances that happened at WrestleMania XXVIII some closure here. Great promo from the Rock, leading to a set up for what will happen in the forthcoming year. Hopefully it won't be as formulaic as real life, where the Rock wins the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble, though. I'm scared you're planning a rematch with John Cena, too...Eve managing to retain the WWE Divas Championship by disqualification was nice, I really liked Kaitlyn's involvement in this, as well. Natalya's inclusion was questionable, but more emphasis on the divas, and there'll be no complaints. Up next, another solid promo with Roddy Piper dusting off Piper's Pit for an eventful promo between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. It got a lot of story out on the horizon, and I really enjoyed it. Wait, Dustin Rhodes? Well, I'll be. Not an ounce of Goldust. It keeps the legitimacy and realism of this angle very tense, I like it. I wonder if one more tenure for Dustin is in order. Bray Wyatt with a win over Santino Marella...if this Funkasaurus being unleashed angle was set up last week, then I don't really think this match should have happened. Love the dialogue, and Brodus Clay now being Bray's pet is great. Interested in where this goes. Lots of big promos on this show, maybe too many, though it is a three hour RAW with a LOT of novelty acts from the past. Mr McMahon returning to evaluate Ric Flair and Brad Maddox was nice. I liked the list of flaws set up, as well. Wow, an elimination match? I sort of like that, but two authority figures rivalling each other at this point is completely stale, so hopefully this will be the last of it for a while. Wade Barrett and the Miz's inclusion was pretty neat. Up next, Ted Dibiase picks up the win against Sheamus!? Ah, Michael McGillicutty got involved, cool. It works for me. My God this show is massive. I almost forgot about Kurt Angle returning, just please don't rush into a big Angle against Daniel Bryan feud, please. Nice segment with Bryan, and then Dean Ambrose as well. I wonder how soon it will be before Angle becomes World Heavyweight Champion again? This segment sort of paralleled Angle's TNA debut, which is interesting. Dolph Ziggler defeating CM Punk was a solid main event, the decision struck me as a bit odd, though. Very silly finish, and it didn't make Dolph look credible as WWE Champion - and I sure hope that he won't be being used as a paper champion, either. And what, more!? Jeez. John Cena with a promo was nice, but I don't think this should have gone on last. Cena calling out the Rock just to get Brock Lesnar was great, and we have our big SummerSlam main event! Overall, a stacked show, maybe too stacked, and maybe a couple of segments that could have been cut. The show heavily relied on nostalgia stars, which is fine, but maybe too many were crammed in there. At some points the show appeared a little messy in ordering as well. Nonetheless, a good job of RAW 1000, and I'm glad that it isn't three hours every week.
WWE NXT: Wednesday 25th July 2012...Seth Rollins receiving a hero's welcome as new NXT Champion was a pleasant way to kick off NXT tonight, but I did like Kassius Ohno coming out and essentially enlisting himself as the next number one contender to Rollins' title. Is Damien Sandow done with NXT now? I'm hoping so, hope he moves on to bigger things. Alex Riley and Richie Steamboat with a victory over Trent Barreta and JTG was fair, an odd match-up here, since Barreta is a babyface as well, I believe. I like the Big E Langston stuff, hopefully it's just a matter of time before he returns. Yay, Adrian Neville debuting against this mysterious El Local was great. Ricardo Rodriguez must have been exhausted after this show. Good showcase win for Neville nonetheless. JTG's interaction with Jiro and Sakamoto was hilarious, speaking of which, I really hope that they become more prominently featured, a very good tag team. Skyler Moon with a win against Emma and Sasha Banks was fine, not bad. Another showcase, this time with NXT divas. Wow, Dolph Ziggler is coming to NXT next week? Good call. Lastly, questionable win for Seth Rollins - and whilst it did reinforce the fact that Rollins is a credible NXT Champion, I didn't like Kassius Ohno teasing a title shot, just to get a non-title match, and lose. Hopefully they will meet again, but on a bigger stage with the title on the line. Not a bad episode of NXT.
WWE Friday Night SmackDown: Friday 27th July 2012...Onto the show, solid promo with Dustin Runnels kicking things off, as it was very different and continued on from where Piper's Pit on RAW 1000 left off. Great promo to give Dustin's new persona some background and identity. Cody Rhodes then coming out was nice, and I enjoyed their confrontation. Wow, Cody Rhodes will face Dustin tonight. I love how Dustin has fallen into this angle, it's lovely. Daniel Bryan defeating Alberto Del Rio is a match that I've always wanted to see, one on one. Great win for Bryan against Del Rio, and I liked the cheap finish to accompany it. Antonio Cesaro then cementing his superiority over Del Rio was cool, I am really looking forward to when they lock up for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. It's nice to see Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins getting television time, even if it does mean a comedy series with R-Truth. Hilarity. Ryback destroying JTG was expected. Up next, solid WWE Tag Team Championship defense by Ted Dibiase and Michael McGillicutty against Sheamus and Chris Jericho, a solid first-hour main event and at this point, Dibiase and McGillicutty are full of momentum. You've done a fantastic job turning their careers around. Kaitlyn defeating Natalya was fine, it appears as though you seem to be building up a fatal four-way match for the WWE Divas Championship at SummerSlam. I think a new champion would be good, but it wouldn't surprise me too much if Eve managed to sly out still champion. Poor Johnny Curtis, being destroyed by Dean Ambrose. Shame. Daniel Bryan then continuing his feud with Ambrose was fine, and hopefully SummerSlam is their final encounter since they've been feuding for going on three months now. Kurt Angle being made the number one contender was coming from a mile away. Good idea, though - and provides an evolving rivalry with Angle in there as well. Finally, a great win for Cody Rhodes against Dustin Runnels, making Cody look dangerous. Great run-in from Randy Orton, just to be jarred by Dustin himself? I love it. Overall, another solid episode of SmackDown, I think that Rhodes and Orton's feud is the best as we progress closer to SummerSlam. Great week of television.

In Memory of William "Paul Bearer" Moody 1954-2013THEN. NOW. FOREVER.
- Following the intro and pyrotechnics display, the commentary unit of Michael Cole, Josh Mathews, and Booker T welcomed everyone to Friday Night SmackDown. After a six year absence, the Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle makes his return to Friday nights, and will be the special guest referee for the rematch between Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose. Plus, the much anticipated Intercontinental Championship match will take place as Antonio Cesaro defends against Alberto Del Rio. All that an more tonight on SmackDown.
- The theme of Cody Rhodes hit, much to the disdain of the fans in attendance. Cody made his way out along with his brother, Dustin Runnels. Once in the ring, the audience continued to berate the duo of until Cody spoke. "Last week on SmackDown, the world witnessed a true hallmark moment as two brothers united in this ring. Myself and Dustin. And do you know what the best part was? Randy Orton, who is supposed to be the most calculating superstar in the WWE today, fell for everything. He never saw it coming until he was left lying on the canvas with a glimpse of the future right in front him. Me standing tall over him with the World Heavyweight Championship." Dustin then took the microphone, saying that many have been asking him one simple question. "Why? Why did you betray Randy Orton and side with your brother. And it's pretty idiotic for anyone to even ask that question, since the answer lies within it. Cody is my brother. And no matter how much I respect Orton, the bond of respect cannot withstand that bond of blood. So I did what was needed to help my brother. To give the world, as he put it, a glimpse of the future. Because in three weeks at SummerSlam, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton will be a fragment of the past. And the reality will be that Cody Rhodes is your new World Heavyweight Champion, an accomplishment that I never achieved myself. But I will have the privilege and honor of watching my brother do just that." Dustin then said that many believed he was jealous of Cody. But the reality is that he is proud of his brother. Proud that he was reached levels that he was never able to. It doesn't matter which member of the Rhodes family achieves great success. Just as long as the title "World Champion" is once again associated with their name. "And it will be associated with us once again, and it comes courtesy of Cody on August 19th. The 'Orton' family name that the WWE claims to be so prestigious will be exposed as nothing more than a failure of a gene pool. While the 'Rhodes' family name will be proven as the superior lineage in our great industry."
- The audience didn't respond to kindly to the words of Dustin as Cody took the microphone back. "I'm sure many of you all were looking forward to coming to SmackDown tonight with the opportunity to see your hero, Randy Orton, in action perhaps, deliver one of his famous RKOs to someone. But I regret to inform you all that Orton is not here tonight." The crowd clearly resented the news of the Viper's absence for tonight. "But regardless of his absence, we will continue to count down the days. And the number tonight is sixteen. Sixteen days remain until Orton's reign as World Heavyweight Champion comes to an end, and mine begins. Sixteen days until promise and prestige is restored to not just my family's name, not just SmackDown, but the WWE as a whole. Sixteen days until the legend of Randy Orton is killed, the Viper is de-venomized, and the Age of Orton is abruptly ended by my own age. By my own era. The era in which Cody Rhodes and Dustin Runnels lead the charge with the World Heavyweight Championship strapped around my waist. And there's not a man, or a Viper, who can stop us." Cody and Dustin left the ring to a large amount of heat, once again making a huge statement in regards to Randy Orton and the World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam. The duo will be out here again later on tonight as Cody is set to take on Sin Cara, a graphic airing for the match.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to Friday Night SmackDown, the theme of Divas Champion Eve made her way down to the ring as she joined the commentary trio at the announce booth. The opening bout as huge implications on Eve's championship as following the match, she will be allowed to choose her challenger for SummerSlam.
- AJ LEE DEF. KAITLYN AND NATALYA: A solid Divas triple threat bout with the winner seemingly going on to face Eve for the title at SummerSlam. After Kaitlyn planted Natalya with a Gutbuster, AJ caught her from behind with a roll up to get the victory.
- The audience popped for AJ as she jumped to her feet, ecstatic over gaining another victory here on SmackDown, and a huge one at that. Divas Champion Eve then grabbed a microphone, ready to make her decision as to who she will defend her title against at SummerSlam. "Sitting here and watching this match, I did realize something, and that is that none of you deserve a title shot. No one else in the entire Divas division deserves a shot. So you know what? No one will be getting a shot at SummerSlam." The crowd booed for Eve's announcement as she made her way up the entrance ramp, leaving AJ, Kaitlyn, and Natalya in the ring in disdain at the fact that despite competing tonight and proving themselves worthy of a shot, they wouldn't be receiving.
- Backstage, Alberto Del Rio was shown in his locker room, preparing for his Intercontinental Championship match later on tonight against Antonio Cesaro. Soon, he was greeted by a surprise guest. That being the NXT General Manager, Ricardo Rodriguez. The former duo reunited as Del Rio told Ricardo that he had missed him over the last few months and is proud of him for finding success on NXT. Ricardo thanked Del Rio for the kind words, saying that he was only here tonight to watch him become Intercontinental Champion. "Hey, Ricardo. I know you're not my ring announcer anymore, but how about one more introduction tonight. Just for old times sake," asked Del Rio. Ricardo instantly accepted the offer.
- Cutting to another camera, the WWE Tag Team Champions Wrestling Royalty were shown walking down a corridor, along with Brad Maddox, the man they will represent at SummerSlam. The champions are in action against The Usos, next.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning from the break an interview with Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, and Jinder Mahal aired, entitled "Behind the Music." The interviewer asked Slater what exactly 3MB was, to which he responded that they are just more than a group of aspiring, talented, and promising artists. "Many people have always compared WWE superstars to rock stars. But up until now, that hasn't exactly been case. But us, we give the people the best of both worlds." Mahal stated that they're all very talented musicians who take their craft very seriously, but he can admit that he has the reputation of being the "fun one." He then stared at the camera, looking both serious and unamused. McIntyre said that the world better get used to seeing their faces on a daily basis. "When the world isn't talking about the art we created in the ring, they'll be talking about the art we created in the studio." The interviewer then asked when we can expect to hear a song from them. The mood of the trio then changed as Slater angrily told the interviewer that he and the media can't be putting so much pressure on them. "We can't just dish out the hits. Masterpieces take time, man. And how dare you criticize artists such as ourselves?" Slater then declared that the interview was over as 3MB all left the scene.
- Returning from the break, The Usos were shown already in the ring, ready to compete against the WWE Tag Team Champions. Ted DiBiase and Michael McGillicutty then made their way out to the stage, along with the man they will represent at SummerSlam, Brad Maddox. Once they were in the ring, Maddox took the microphone from Tony Chimel, telling him that his introduction was profusely incorrect. Everyone seemed confused as Chimel had properly introduced the champions. "There's been a slight change, folks. But have no fear, because Brad Maddox is here to clear up the whole misunderstanding. Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you two of the men who will lead Team Maddox to victory at SummerSlam over Team Flair. The WWE Tag Team Champions, Ted DiBiase.....and Joe Hennig."
- WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS WRESTLING ROYALTY W/ BRAD MADDOX DEF. THE USOS: A great tag team bout here as DiBiase and the now Joe Hennig looked very impressive, no different than how they've been looking for months now. And with Maddox in their corner, they were able to further impress him, putting away The Usos to get the victory.
- Following the match, Brad Maddox grabbed the WWE Tag Team Championships from ringside as he handed them back to DiBiase and Hennig. The trio stood tall in the ring as cameras cut to the back, where we saw Chris Jericho watching a TV monitor. It would appear that Y2J is not quite finished yet with Wrestling Royalty. But until then, Maddox, DiBiase, and the newly named Joe Hennig are on a wave of momentum heading into the Elimination Tag Team match at SummerSlam.
- A graphic was shown for the Intercontinental Championship match between Antonio Cesaro and Alberto Del Rio, coming up next on SmackDown!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP - ANTONIO CESARO DEF. ALBERTO DEL RIO: As he had promised earlier, NXT General Manager Ricardo Rodriguez introduced Alberto Del Rio for one of the most important matches of his career. And what a match is was as two of the WWE's brightest stars tore the house down. The turning point came when Del Rio tried to pick up Cesaro at ringside, but was pulled by the defending champion as his right shoulder crashed into the metal layer of the ring apron. Cesaro kept control from there, but soon had a Swiss Death Uppercut countered into a DDT. The momentum shifted to Del Rio from that point on, looking like the next Intercontinental Champion. As he was attempting to hit a German Suplex, Cesaro managed to go behind Del Rio and ram his injured shoulder into the turnbuckle. Del Rio crashed to the canvas, holding his shoulder in thriving pain. Cesaro then locked Del Rio in his own Cross Armbreaker! He pulled on Del Rio's arm violently, trying to put away the Mexican Aristocrat with his own submission maneuver. Del Rio fought through the pain and refused to submit, but the damage was done to his shoulder. Cesaro soon released the hold, not giving Del Rio any breathing time as he lifted him up for the Neutralizer, hitting it to get the victory and retain his championship.
- Cesaro stood to his feet as he was handed back his Intercontinental Championship, raising it high in the air as he has managed to defeat arguably his toughest challenger yet in Alberto Del Rio. The commentators put over the resiliency of the Mexican Aristocrat, but in the end, it didn't pay off as Cesaro continues his reign as the Intercontinental Champion here on SmackDown.
- A graphic was shown for tonight's main event. Daniel Bryan will take on Dean Ambrose, and Kurt Angle will make his return to SmackDown to serve as the special guest referee for that bout.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to SmackDown, Divas Champion Eve was shown leaving the arena when suddenly, she was stopped by the General Manager, Teddy Long. he asked Eve where she was going, to which she responded "Not to SummerSlam, obviously." Teddy told Eve that he doesn't know where she got the idea that she had the authority to declare herself inactive for SummerSlam. Eve claimed that as the Divas Champion, she has the power to determine when she defends her title and where she defends it. "And I was given the authority to choose my opponent, and I didn't feel that anyone deserved an opportunity." Teddy told Eve that she shot herself in the foot by not choosing an opponent. "Because now, I will take it upon myself to name your next challenger. So at SummerSlam, you're going to defend your Divas Championship against Natalya, Kaitlyn, and AJ Lee in a Fatal Four Way match."
- RYBACK DEF. HUNICO: The undefeated Ryback once again made his way down to the ring with Kane's mask in his hands, still sending a message to the Big Red Monster. After a quick match, Ryback was able to plant Hunico with Shell Shocked to gain the victory.
- The audience stood to their feet for Ryback as he raised his arms in victory, grabbing Kane's mask from ringside. Once again, the undefeated monster shouting "Feed me more!" while flaunting the mask. Suddenly, the lights shut. Once back on, Kane was shown standing in the center of the ring, adjusting the straps of his mask that he had reclaimed. Ryback laid motionless on the canvas, presumably being laid out by Kane. The Big Red Monster stood over Ryback, performing his fire taunt before leaving the ring.
- Backstage, WWE Tag Team Champions Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig were shown in the locker room area with Brad Maddox, Matt Striker approaching the trio for an interview. He asked Hennig for an explanation on his name change. "It's simple. I am wrestling royalty. My family's lineage runs through me, and up until now, I had never embraced it. Seeing Cody and Ted talk about their lineage made me think to myself 'I'm a Hennig. The son of Mr. Perfect.' I'm not Michael McGillicutty. I never was and I never wanted to be. So this past Monday on RAW, I spoke to Brad Maddox, and he was more than supportive of my decision." Maddox then said that he wants nothing but the best on his team come SummerSlam. "And if Joe Hennig will give me more than Michael McGillicutty can, than I'm proud to welcome Joe to my team." Maddox shook DiBiase and Hennig's hands before leaving the room. As DiBiase began speaking, a loud bang could be heard. The champions then turned, rushing to Maddox as he was lying on the floor and holding him head. The door to the room opened as we saw the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus. "Woops. Didn't see you there, fella," he said before chuckling and walking off.
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Returning to SmackDown, General Manager Teddy Long was shown walking to his office, opening the door and entering the room. Suddenly, we saw him backing away from the room as Ryback stood in front him, breathing heavily and clearly full of rage. "Feed....me....Kane!" said Ryback, his voice increasing in volume every time he repeated the phrase. Teddy told Ryback that if he wants Kane one more time, he can have him. But things will be a bit different this time. "It's obvious that you two can't contain yourselves. You've torn apart the ringside area, the backstage area, and it's taken dozens of men to keep you from damn near killing each other. It's clear that you two need to be contained. And at SummerSlam, that's exactly what's going to happen. Because you have Kane, and the match will take place inside of a Steel Cage!"
- CODY RHODES W/ DUSTIN RUNNELS AND SIN CARA W/ REY MYSTERIO FOUGHT TO A NO CONTEST: A great bout here between two men who are heading into the biggest matches of their careers at SummerSlam in sixteen days, as Cody reminded us earlier tonight. As Sin Cara went for a Crossbody, Cody dodged it as the official was inadvertently struck. As Cara tried to revive the official, he was hit with a the Disaster Kick from Cody. Cara rolled out of the ring as Dustin kicked him in the side of his torso. Rey Mysterio then approached Dustin, coming to the aid of Cara. Cody rolled out of the ring, grabbing Mysterio and sliding him into the ring. He and Dustin both entered the ring, staring down at Mysterio.
- Mysterio slowly backed into a corner as Cody and Dustin stared at him, ready to strike at any moment and potentially ruin his final match coming up at SummerSlam. That wasn't the case, however, as World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton hit the ring through the audience, turning Dustin around and planting him with an RKO! The audience erupted as Orton slid out of the ring, backing up the entrance ramp while staring back at Cody. The No. 1 contender stuck his head out of the middle rope, shouting at Orton as he had convinced the WWE Universe earlier that the Viper was absent tonight. What Cody failed to realize was that he was in perfect position for a 619 as Mysterio hit it! Cody and Dustin were both dazed on the floor at ringside as Orton and Cara joined Mysterio in the ring, the three of them raising each other's arms and standing tall to the excitement of the audience.
- Backstage, Daniel Bryan was shown at the door of Kurt Angle's locker room, banging on it repeatedly. Suddenly, someone grabbed Bryan's hand, Bryan turning around to see Dean Ambrose. "Trying to get the referee on your side, aren't you, Daniel?" asked Ambrose. Bryan became defensive, telling Ambrose that he was only trying to tell Angle to put all of his biasness aside and call the match right down the middle. "And how do I know you're not here to try and suck up to Angle yourself?" asked Bryan. Ambrose told Bryan that he was only here to tell Angle that he doesn't take crap from anyone, and that includes him. Referee shirt or not. "If Angle gets in my way, I don't care what stripes he's wearing. Whether it be referee stripes or American stripes, I won't hesitate to do to him what I have done to people like you and Randy Orton, and that's bashing his damn brains in. See you out there," said Ambrose before pushing Bryan into the locker room door. Bryan held the back of his head as Ambrose walked off, their main event match up next!
- COMMERCIAL BREAK
- A promo was shown for SummerSlam, live Sunday August 19th, only on pay-per-view.
- Returning from the break, Chris Jericho was shown walking down a hallway when Matt Striker approached him, asking for his thoughts on Michael McGillicutty's name change as he has been embroiled in a rivalry with Wrestling Royalty for a while now. "I honestly couldn't care less about his name. I don't care if he's Michael McGillicutty, Joe Hennig, Joe McGillicutty, or Joe Mama. That's not where my interest is. My interest is taking the fight to Wrestling Royalty at SummerSlam and landing Ric Flair back into the position as RAW General Manager. But I also have an interest in the WWE Tag Team Championships. I know Sheamus and I failed to capture them last week, but I have one more shot. Next Monday on RAW, Wrestling Royalty will have another title defense against me. But this time, my partner is a man who I know better than anyone else in the WWE. The man I helped mold. The captain of Team Flair and my former NXT rookie, Wade Barrett."
- DANIEL BRYAN DEF. DEAN AMBROSE WITH KURT ANGLE AS THE SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE: The SmackDown return of Kurt Angle also provided us with an outstanding main event with two of the best competitors in WWE today. Many nearfalls came about that caused both Ambrose and Bryan to question whether or not Angle was legitimately calling the match down the middle, or favoring someone. After Bryan got his foot on the rope following a Knee Trembler, Ambrose got in Angle's face. The two went back and forth until Ambrose shoved Angle. Angle responded by doing the same, but the shove allowed Bryan to roll Ambrose up with a handful of tights, unbeknownst to Angle, to steal the victory.
- Bryan stood to his feet ecstatically, shouting "Yes!" in celebration of him finally defeating Dean Ambrose. Ambrose, on the other hand, instantly confronted Angle once again, believing that he screwed him over. Angle tried to tell Ambrose that he didn't see Bryan pulling on his tights, but his words failed to have an impact as Ambrose spat in his face! Angle then snapped as he delivered an Angle Slam to Ambrose, followed by the Ankle Lock! Ambrose screamed in pain as Bryan could be seen watching in a corner, still shouting "Yes!" After Angle released the hold on Ambrose, he approached Bryan, who asked for his hand to be raised. Instead, Angle delivered an Angle Slam to him as well! With Bryan lying on the canvas, Angle took off his referee shirt before locking him in the Ankle Lock. Bryan screamed in agonizing pain as Angle kept the hold in tight. He soon released him as both Bryan and Ambrose laid on the mat, Angle standing tall over them with the audience roaring for the Olympic Gold Medalist, making his mark on his return to the blue brand.

Smackdown Review
I love Dustin Runnels a whole hell of a lot better than I like Goldust, because as Dustin he is more serious and he definitely can be taken seriously as Dustin and I love his reasoning as for why he turned on Orton basically being that blood is thicker than water because Cody is his brother and he is proud of his brother for wanting to restore dignity to their family name at SummerSlam and I hope Dustin is there for the ride at SummerSlam
I love that AJ beat both Natalya and Kaitlyn to basically earn the opportunity to face Eve for the WWE Divas Championship but then Eve making the decision on who she will face at SummerSlam by choosing no one, that no one in the Divas division is worthy of facing her for her title much less being in the same ring as her
Love that the NXT GM, Ricardo is here back on Smackdown and back to see his former employer/best friend Del Rio and Del Rio asking him to be his ring announcer for tonight for old time's sake, I love the friendship between these 2 because they came in together and now they are apart but are successful in their own rights away from one another but for nostaglic purposes it makes it all the more special
Wrestling Royalty walking with Brad Maddox the man they will be representing at SummerSlam in the Team Maddox vs Team Flair match-up, I love it but at the same time Brad Maddox is a RAW authority figure, he has no business being on Smackdown right now unless he was invited
3MB Behind the Music, this whole segment I didn't really care for it but at the same time it puts 3MB over
Michael Mcgillicutty is now Joe Hennig, re-naming himself, definitely the right move because Joe Hennig is the son of WWE Hall of Famer the late Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig, so for Joe to basically make his own name, and embrace his heritage, I say good for him, it is about time because Joe is perfect just like his father because his father was perfect in every sense of the word and Joe is the next generation, the new generation of perfection
Wrestling Royalty beating yet another tag team beating The Usos, it gives them even more momentum heading into SummerSlam since they are a part of Team Maddox but also that no team has been able to beat them for the WWE Tag Team Championship and I don't think any team will be able to beat them, not even Jericho & Sheamus
Cesaro defeating Del Rio to retain his WWE Intercontinental Championship, something tells me that these 2 will face off once again but that it will happen at SummerSlam and if I am right about that, then it would be the perfect time for Cesaro to drop the WWE Intercontinental Championship because he should be a main eventer and it is about time that he is one while Del Rio he could benefit from being WWE Intercontinental Champion
Yes Eve is going to defend her WWE Divas Championship in a Fatal 4-Way against AJ, Natalya and Kaitlyn, this means Eve's run, her title reign as WWE Divas Champion could end, her days are numbered if you ask me
Ryback beats Hunico in dominating fashion and then after the match the lights go out and when they come back on, Kane reclaims his mask by putting it back on and Ryback is laid out by Kane, yes this rivalry is heating up and that's what I have wanted for the longest time to see these 2 just completely destroy each other and it looks like that will finally happen at SummerSlam I hope
Loved Brad Maddox being injured by Sheamus who just laughs and walks off saying he didn't see Maddox there but we all know that Sheamus probably did see him but seeing bad things happen to Maddox, it just warms my heart
Ryback vs Kane is going to happen at SummerSlam but this time in a Steel Cage Match, I know that their match will steal the show if anything because this match is going to be a slugfest if you ask me but at the same time it is going to be brutal in the sense that it will be a real war between these 2 and Ryback his undefeated streak here in the Steel Cage looks like it could be in serious jeopardy
Wade Barrett and Jericho teaming together to face Wrestling Royalty for the WWE Tag Team Championship, I can't wait but at the same time can Jericho really trust Barrett? Or can Barrett trust Jericho? Either way I can't wait to see these 2 team together but at the same time I smell a heel turn from one of these 2, I can definitely see it being Barrett turning on Jericho and being revealed to be the 5th man for Team Maddox
Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose trying to get to Angle is pretty funny but at the same time I see Angle calling this match down the middle
And Cody Rhodes & Sin Cara's match going to a No Contest, I loved it but what I loved even more was Orton showing up and giving Dustin an RKO, now that was funny, what would have made it even better is if Orton punted Dustin's brains out by punting Dustin in the skull because then that would have taken Cody off of his game but it would have caused Cody to become even more dangerous but I also love Rey Mysterio being in Cara's corner especially where SummerSlam is concerned considering these 2 are facing one another at SummerSlam in Rey's final farewell match
And I loved the ending of Smackdown with Bryan beating Ambrose even though Bryan used tights to beat Ambrose but Angle didn't see it, and then Ambrose getting in Angle's face spitting in his face, I wonder if that was a heel turn for Ambrose because if it was, I love Angle giving Ambrose an Angle Slam for his trouble and then Bryan celebrating and then Bryan asks for his hand to be raised only to get an Angle Slam too for his trouble, just goes to show you that Angle will not be intimidated by Bryan, Ambrose or anyone and that Angle cares about one thing and one thing only, himself just like he should
Overall great Smackdown and I can't wait until RAW, how many days now in counting until SummerSlam?
