- Wrestling Royalty retaining their WWE Tag Team Championships by beating both The Miz & Roman Reigns and The Usos, 257 days now as champions, it makes me wonder just which tag team could beat them for those titles seeing as how they have beaten almost every tag team there is to beat in the WWE but I wonder if Sandow and Cesaro will be the next ones who end up getting a shot at those titles? Either way I can't wait until the Royal Rumble pay per view so then that way we can find out just who will face DiBiase & Hennig?
- Derrick Bateman beating Santino, I love this new attitude of Bateman's, this new character of his reminds me so much of his TNA persona Ethan Carter III so here is hoping you push Bateman off of this new gimmick change but as for Santino losing it doesn't come as a surprise
- Cody Rhodes retaining the World Heavyweight Championship against Daniel Bryan, I definitely expected Cody to retain and he did but Bryan he had Rhodes beat and if it hadn't been for JBL getting involved Bryan would have beat Cody Rhodes but seeing as how JBL got involved he more than paid for it but either way I can't see Bryan taking this lying down because he will either get a rematch at the Rumble or Daniel Bryan will face off against JBL in some way but since Cody retains his title it makes me wonder just who Cody Rhodes will face next should the time come for him to defend his title which he no doubt will at the Rumble
- Paige retaining the WWE Divas Championship ending Eve's career I love it, Eve's reign of terror is not only over but her career is over, she's gone, finished, kaput, and now that she is gone Paige can lead the Divas division into the future while with Eve let's just wish her the best of luck in all of her future endeavors because she's gone but what I definitely did not count on was AJ showing up or even Beth Phoenix for that matter but it is only fitting considering Eve ended their careers
- Orton beating Show in a Last Man Standing Match, now this match I have to say was a war, not a battle but a war but seeing Orton punt Show not once but twice I wonder if that is the last time we will see Show again at least for a little while but it just goes to show us that Orton is the most dangerous man in that locker room and has been ever since returning but I wonder if Orton is now setting his sights on the Royal Rumble Match?
- Team Smackdown beats Team RAW yet again, it just goes to show us that Smackdown owns RAW, Smackdown P*WNS RAW, Smackdown just has RAW's number winning their 3rd straight Bragging Rights trophy beating RAW once again, but seeing Del Rio, Cesaro, and Sandow as the survivors for Team Smackdown gives them even more momentum heading into the Rumble but as for Ziggler being the sole survivor for Team RAW and ever since turning babyface I wonder if this is the push of Ziggler? Because if it is then Ziggler has got to be a sleeper pick as far as the Rumble Match goes
- CM Punk "The Best in the World" becomes WWE Champion once again this time beating Barrett, Cena, and Bray Wyatt, you have to admit Punk the only reason why he is WWE Champion right now is because of Seth Rollins because if it hadn't been for Seth Rollins' interference that Cena probably would have become WWE Champion but the better question is why would Rollins target Cena? Why wouldn't Rollins go after Barrett or even Bray Wyatt? It makes me wonder if Seth Rollins and CM Punk are somehow in collusion with each other? It makes me wonder if Paul Heyman and CM Punk put Seth Rollins up to this? I hope to hell we get an explanation from Rollins explaining to the world why he did what he did but as for Barrett he is entitled to a rematch since Barrett wasn't even pinned and he lost his title so I can see him facing Punk at the Rumble
- As for my Rumble Match picks obviously The Rock has got to be the favorite to win the Rumble Match but my sleeper picks are Cena, Orton, Ryback and Ziggler but I wonder if we will see a shocking return from Kurt Angle, with Angle returning in the Rumble Match
- I wonder if we will see any surprise entrants in the Rumble Match?

Bragging Rights Review: Nice beginning with the start of the Sandy Hook Announcement and the bell ringing 26 times for them, I watched that on TV when it happened and I thought how cruel people could be by doing this to innocent children and teachers, I think they wanted to do it for the media, but anyway let's get on with the show. Like AJ said, Wrestling Royalty have been the champs for 257 days and they don't show any signs of letting go of those belts, great win for them against The Miz and Reigns and The Usos. A great win for Derrick Bateman against Santino Marella. Rhodes retaining the World Title over Bryan was definitely not without controversy. With JBL interefering and Rhodes hitting the piledriver. Rhodes has gotta remember that piledriver's been banned for a long time, he just can't use it and just injure people with it, but luckily you didn't make Bryan feel the effects of it as he was able to walk away on his own power. Well goodbye Eve, AJ. Beth and Paige made her say goodbye, Orton and Show in the last man standing match was probably and possibly a great match with Orton winning after two punt kicks to the head, hoping you get Orton back in the World Heavyweight Championship Picture soon. Well it ain't no surprise that Team SMACKDOWN got a win over Team RAW. Hope that Smackdown gets a bonus for this where all the seven competitors will get a #1 Contendership Match and one of them will face Cody Rhodes at the Royal Rumble for the Title, that is my feeling. Great Fatal-Four Way Match for the title, was thinking Barrett could retain and I was seriously hoping Cena was going to win the WWE Championship too cause The Rock was going to be in the Royal Rumble, but Seth Rollins comes out to aid CM Punk win the WWE Championship, I hope a Cena/Punk match is in the future at the Royal Rumble but I'm wondering what Wade Barrett is going to do, maybe he will rebound from this who knows, but great show man. Hey if you want leave a reply to my WWF 1994 Diary, I'm plugging my own diary lol, but good show dude.

I've been away for a while and I remember the build up for this. I'm back and now it's posted? About time Ryan. Anyway, onto the reply. I absolutely love what you've done with Wrestling Royalty. They've been champions for a long time, but they've also been relevant and in main events. So they look legit and another win in a great match helps that even more. I also dig the originality of Roman Reigns & The Miz. I hope Wrestling Royalty can hit the one year mark before The Usos dethrone them. I always thought that Bateman had potential, so glad to see him used here and to get a win on Pay-Per-View. I like that you actually write out the build up for the match before it instead of just saying "a video package airs". That idea might be stolen fyi. Awesome match, love that you use the "Prince of Pro Wrestling" moniker. The close calls with the Cross Rhodes, Yes Lock and small package were well done. Overall, I'm glad Rhodes retained. Besides Wrestling Royalty, my favorite thing that you've done is the work with the Divas division. Building up Eve the way you did gave the division a purpose and having Paige be the savior was fantastic. Eve getting what she deserved by losing her career was the perfect ending and I'm happy for the return of Beth Phoenix. The division looks like more fun is coming. Not a big fan of Orton/Show, but it was pretty good. Orton winning was the right call in my mind. Very talented teams in your Bragging Rights match, thought the Smackdown one is stronger. Clearly that's the case as they won, though I wish Ziggler would've eliminated at least one of the final guys for Smackdown when he was at a disadvantage. Regardless, I do like who you chose to survive. Awesome main event and OHMYGOD! Seth Rollins! Rollins/Cena feud? Rollins/Punk team? The possibilities! Also, Punk as Champion is always amazing in my book. You honestly continue to amaze me and this is easily one of my top five favorite diaries that I've ever read start to finish. Keep it up. Also, I looked back at the first page of this and who was the first person to ever reply to this? That's right. It's me, it's me, it's DDP. Or Kev. Whatever.

Bragging Rights was a good read. If u don't mind me saying some of your TV shows aren't always the most exciting but you always nail your PPVs and Bragging Rights was no exception. Always make your PPVS feel special and like a big show....
Classy touch to begin the show with that could have easily been forgotten about. Fair play to you.
Made my feelings clear on Wrestling Royality for some time now they are without question one of my favourite acts. Still feel like your division needs work because currently there is no team that would be justified to end their reign yet.
Nice win for Derrick Bateman not sure what roster he's on but hopefully it's Raw because he could be a fine addition to their ranks.
Not surprised Rhodes beat Bryan as much as you tried to get Bryan over it was always clear that Bryan is a placeholder until Angle returns. Some one else should have been used in this role and U didn't have to rush the Bryan face turn and title shot then. Great match though
Good win for Orton he can now move on to something else.
You have put a lot of thought and effort into the Divas division which deserves credit. Paige winning was not a surprise after Beth returned I expected her to drop Paige. Maybe later...
One of your strong points is multi man matches. This was no exception. Continued the Jericho/Ambrose rivalry. You made Del Rio look great. Similar to what Kevstaa said I would have had Ziggler eliminate 1 maybe 2 before being beat at the end. Ziggler just got beat down and then pinned was expecting a bit more from Ziggler here. Ziggler has lost a lot of steam since losing his title.
Good Main Event thought you would go with Punk as your heading into mania season. Rollins was a nice twist see where u go with that. Barrett can claim a title shot. U seem to have a habit of one someone is getting hot to either take a title off them or turn them (Barrett, Zigglet, Punk). I can never predict what you are going to do next, hopefully you stick with this and I look forward to see what you have in store for Mania season.

TWT 12/17 - Slammy Awards, Eve's departure and the status of Beth Phoenix, Update on Big E Langston and Leo Kruger
- This morning on WWE.com, a few Slammy award winners were announced, including some categories that had already been promoted. The list of winners is as follows...
- Shocker of the Year: CM Punk betrays The Rock at Hell In A Cell
- Extreme Moment of the Year: Cody Rhodes delivers two Piledrivers to Kurt Angle at Survivor Series
- Stable of the Year: The Maddox Administration
- Catchphrase of the Year: "YES!"
- Maneuver of the Year: Sister Abigail
- It was also announced that Superstar of the Year will not be determined through voting, but rather a Battle Royal on RAW tonight. WWE Champion CM Punk, John Cena, Wade Barrett, Ryback, Dolph Ziggler, World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes, Daniel Bryan, Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose, Sheamus and Randy Orton will all compete for the award.
- Last night at Bragging Rights, Paige defeated Eve in a match that saw the latter put her career on the line. It has been known that Eve was on her way out of the WWE, but the decision was made for her to finish up the program with Paige and put over the "Anti Diva." With Eve out of the picture, other Divas will be presented with the opportunity to shine. Three Divas who are said to be in line for pushes include Summer Rae, Kaitlyn and Maxine.
- One of the women who sent Eve packing last night at Bragging Rights was Beth Phoenix, who departed from the company as well during the Summer. While many fans were excited to see Phoenix back in a WWE ring, it was a only a one-night deal. Phoenix was on her way back to Buffalo for the holidays, but stopped by Brooklyn to take part in Eve's final angle. There are no talks of a full-time return for her at the moment.
- NXT fans have noticed over the past few weeks that there does not seem to be any sign of either Big E Langston or Leo Kruger after a feud between the two was set up on TV. There are several reasons for that. The biggest one being that Big E suffered an injury at an NXT live event and will need to take a bit of time off. Along with that, Kruger's character has said to not be very well received by fans throughout NXT's house show circuit. And with Big E off of television, that gives NXT officials more of a reason to pull Kruger to the side and possibly repackage him.

I can't wait until the actual Slammy Awards show starts but also because this is the start of the Road to WrestleMania 29 well with the 2013 Royal Rumble PPV since we already know one of the matches that will be on the card and that is the 30-man Royal Rumble Match but then we still have to determine championship matches that will take place at the Rumble but also any grudge matches that will take place too

| December 17th, 2012 - Philadelphia, PA | Royal Rumble is live in six weeks on Pay Per View! |
Tonight's Slammy Awards edition of Monday Night RAW kicked off with John Bradshaw Layfield, World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes, Alberto Del Rio, Antonio Cesaro and Damien Sandow all in the ring with the Bragging Rights trophy. Simply to rub it in RAW's face, a celebration for Team SmackDown's victory at Bragging Rights was held. Bradshaw gave a short speech to thank Del Rio, Cesaro and Sandow for their work in the 7-on-7 match, not mentioning any of the other members. Cody Rhodes took the microphone next, saying that Bragging Rights was the most successful night in history for God's Gifts, because while Team SmackDown got their victory, he managed to prove the world wrong once again by defeating Daniel Bryan. And tonight, he'll continue to dominate by winning the Battle Royal to become the 2012 Superstar of the Year. Rhodes was the interrupted by the new WWE Champion, CM Punk. Punk told Rhodes that he can gloat all he wants about being the World Heavyweight Champion, but when it comes to the span of the entire year, what has he actually accomplished? "I started 2012 as the WWE Champion and will end it as the champion. I carried this title into WrestleMania and walked out with it still intact. I defeated Brock Lesnar and The Rock within a span of three weeks. What have you done? You beat a couple of guys to retain a meaningless title, and you brag about ending Kurt Angle's career. Yeah, like he even had more than a few months left in the tank," said Punk. Rhodes told Punk that he can hide his jealousy all he wants, but that's all it it is in the end. Jealousy. "When I captured the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, I did so on my own without anyone's help. How did you become WWE Champion last night? Oh yeah, that's right. You had to enlist the aid of an NXT star," said Rhodes. Punk thanked Rhodes for reminding him about that because it allows him the chance to clear something. "Neither Paul Heyman or I had anything to do with Seth Rollins. He acted on his own, and I simply proceeded to what I do best, and that's win," said Punk. Rhodes told Punk that before the night is over, they will see who truly is the Superstar of the Year.
BREAK
NON TITLE MATCH ROB VAN DAM DEF. UNITED STATES CHAMPION JACK SWAGGER W/ ZEB COLTER The return to Monday Night RAW for the "Whole F'n Show." The United States Champion cut a promo during the commercial break on the WWE App saying that he didn't understand why Rob Van Dam was given a spot on Team RAW given the fact that he had not compete in nearly a year. Swagger then cited Van Dam's "ring rust" as one of the reasons why RAW failed at Bragging Rights. Van Dam was able to shut Swagger up, delivering a Five Star Frog Splash to claim the victory.
Van Dam stood to his feet following the match as the Philadelphia audience went wild for the ECW original. Zeb Colter assisted Swagger out of the ring as the commentary unit mentioned that with Van Dam defeating the United States Champion, a title opportunity is likely to be in his future.
It was now time for the first award of the night to be presented, Tag Team of the Year. Justin Roberts introduced the presenter, Brad Maddox. Maddox, who was returning from a four week suspension, received a monstrous amount of heat from the crowd as he attempted to speak over them. He said that with his time away, he realized what he had done wrong and vows to act as not only a better employee, but a better human overall. A video package was shown for the Tag Team of the Year nominees. Wrestling Royalty, The Miz and Roman Reigns, The Usos, The Prime Time Players, Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd, and 3MB. "And the Slammy goes to......" said Maddox before hanging his head in disappointment. "......Wrestling Royalty," he said as the audience popped huge for the WWE Tag Team Champions. Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig headed out to the stage, not only celebrating a Slammy award, but day 258 of their reign. Maddox refused to hand the award over to them, saying that since they defied his authority when he was General Manager, he doesn't see why they should be rewarded. Maddox then introduced the two men who he believed were deserving of the award, The Miz and Roman Reigns. DiBiase and Hennig then laid out a challenge to the remaining members of The Maddox Administration. They'll put the Slammy award on the line right now against Miz and Reigns. The challenge was accepted as Wrestling Royalty headed down to the ring while Maddox, Miz and Reigns remained on the stage to form strategy.
BREAK
Following the commercial break, Dolph Ziggler was shown in the locker room area preparing for tonight's Superstar of the Year Battle Royal. Suddenly, he was interrupted by John Bradshaw Layfield, Alberto Del Rio, Antonio Cesaro and Damien Sandow. The temporary SmackDown General Manager informed Ziggler of huge news regarding him. "Before Bragging Rights, Ric Flair and I had a little agreement. The winning team of the Bragging Rights match would be able to steal any member of the opposing team, and guess who we've chosen. Welcome to SmackDown, Dolph!" said JBL before he and the Team SmackDown victors left the room. Just 24 hours after leading RAW as its team captain, Dolph Ziggler has been moved to SmackDown!
TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR SLAMMY AWARD WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS WRESTLING ROYALTY DEF. THE MIZ AND ROMAN REIGNS W/ BRAD MADDOX The final encounter between these two teams who have had a score to settle for the past two months now. After Hennig fought his way out of a Skull Crushing Finale, he was able to roll Miz up for the victory.
Joe Hennig rolled out of the ring as he was joined by Ted DiBiase at ringside, the two being handed back the WWE Tag Team Championships and their new Slammy award. They made their way up the entrance ramp as cameras focused on the scene in the ring. The Miz remained on his knees as Brad Maddox berated for him for losing the match. Miz got to his feet while Maddox continued to shout at him, even delivering two shoves. Miz had finally had enough as he grabbed Maddox by his collar, but before he could go any further, Roman Reigns drilled him with a Spear! Reigns and Maddox stood tall over their teammate, or rather, their now former teammate from the looks of it.
BREAK
A promo was shown for Wednesday night's edition of NXT. World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes will be present in the Full Sail Arena. Plus, after William Regal's shocking return last week, how will NXT Champion Kassius Ohno respond? WWE NXT, this Wednesday on ION Television.
At this time, Justin Roberts introduced the presenter for the NXT Superstar of the Year award, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes! Dusty made his way out to a great response from the Philadelphia audience as he approached the podium. He said that this past year saw the revitalization of NXT, which has seen many great young stars emerge. And right now, one of those men will be honored with the Slammy for NXT Superstar of the Year. All superstars were considered, but a final decision was made this past weekend by the NXT staff down in Florida. "And the Slammy goes to.......Seth Rollins!" The WWE Universe reacted in a mixed manner as Rollins made his way out to the stage. He took the Slammy as he observed the mixture of cheers and boos that he was receiving. He then said that he's not going to give an acceptance speech because there's nothing more to be said about his success on NXT. So what he's going to do is provide the world with exactly what they want from him - an explanation. "Not that I owe it to anyone, but I'll go ahead and shed some light on a few things. The first thing that I want to make clear is that CM Punk and Paul Heyman had nothing to do with my actions. I acted alone every step of the way. A few weeks back, John Cena was at NXT and gave one of his usual and mundane motivational speeches. However, there was something he said that jumped out at me. If you want to make a name for yourself in the WWE, then you need to take matters into your own hands and show ruthless aggression. I wasn't looking to start at the bottom on RAW after carrying NXT since April, so I inserted myself into the spotlight by going after the company's poster boy. I'm now right where I belong and I will continue to show why I am the future of the WWE. And Cena, it was nothing personal. I was just doing what you would have done yourself." Rollins raised the Slammy award high in the air after justifying his actions at Bragging Rights. Soon, the entrance music of John Cena hit as he stormed out onto the stage, immediately taking down Rollins! Cena was able to get a few strikes in before Rollins turned things around and hit a couple of shots of his own! Official were soon on the scene to restrain the two of them, but neither Cena or Rollins were looking to stop.
BREAK
#1 CONTENDERS MATCH THE USOS DEF. THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS, JUSTIN GABRIEL AND TYSON KIDD, AND 3MB Despite all four of these teams coming up short in the voting for Tag Team of the Year, another opportunity presented itself to them in the form of a #1 contenders match. The Usos, who were coming in with a great deal of momentum after a fantastic showing at Bragging Rights, continued their roll as Jimmy delivered a Superfly Splash to Darren Young to secure the victory.
The audience popped huge as Jey joined Jimmy in the ring, the two brothers celebrating their victory. They came up short in last night's Ladder match, but they now have another chance to fulfill their dream and become WWE Tag Team Champions. At least, that's what we all believed until John Bradshaw Layfield made his way out to the stage. He said that as the temporary General Manager of SmackDown, he has the authority to make any decisions regarding the Tag Team Titles. "Jimmy, Jey, you guys are not the #1 contenders just yet. There is one more team that you must compete against right here and right now......."
#1 CONTENDERS MATCH ANTONIO CESARO AND DAMIEN SANDOW DEF. THE USOS Just moments after becoming the #1 contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships, The Usos were forced to battle the fresh Antonio Cesaro and Damien Sandow. Jimmy and Jey fought hard, but exhaustion soon caught up to them as Cesaro was able to deliver a Neutralizer to Jey for the win.
The joy among the members of the WWE Universe was now gone as Cesaro and Sandow raised each other's arms, a graphic appearing on the screen to officially declare them the new #1 contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships. After helping Team SmackDown claim the Bragging Rights trophy last night, the two God's Gifts members now have the chance to bring Wrestling Royalty's 258 title reign to an end soon.
BREAK
Returning from the commercial break, Dolph Ziggler was shown in the office of RAW General Manager, Ric Flair. The "Nature Boy" told Ziggler that he and John Bradshaw Layfield kept their deal a secret, but did have a signed agreement. "There's nothing I can, Dolph. You're on SmackDown now," said Flair. Ziggler then told him that he wasn't upset. If moving to SmackDown gives him the chance to get revenge against JBL and God's Gifts, then he'll gladly make the jump. "I just wanted to thank you, Flair, for the opportunity to lead RAW at Bragging Rights. Even though we lost, I gave it my all and I hope you know that." Flair and Ziggler then shook hands before the latter made his way out of the room.
DERRICK BATEMAN DEF. R-TRUTH After successfully defeating Santino Marella last night at Bragging Rights, Derrick Bateman was able to continue riding his wave of momentum by hitting R-Truth with a Headlock Driver for the victory.
Bateman stood to his feet as the audience showered him with boos. He then went to ringside, taking a microphone to make a declaration for the upcoming year. "Just for everyone's information, I would like to point out that you are looking at the Superstar of the Year for 2013. But I'm not just stopping there, I want it all in 2013. I want to be WWE Champion, I want to be on TV shows, radio shows, movies, you name it. I want it all, and it starts when I win the Royal Rumble match. So look out, Rock. There's an even bigger star standing in your way." Bateman made his way up the entrance ramp, throwing his name into the mix of things for the Royal Rumble match on January 27th.
At this time, Booker T made his way out to the stage to present the Slammy for Breakout Star of the Year. The video package for the award showcased Ryback, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Antonio Cesaro and Damien Sandow. "And the Slammy goes to........the Intercontinental Champion, Dean Ambrose." The audience booed as Ambrose made his way out to the podium, snatching the Slammy out of Booker's hands. "Breakout Star of the Year, like it was ever in question. The 'Diamond in the Rough' is finally being shown the respect that he deserves. You know who didn't show me any respect? Chris Jericho, and look what happened to him. I bashed his brains in with my knee at Bragging Rights. And I'll do the same to everyone in tonight's Battle Royal when I become the 2012 Superstar of the Year." At that moment, Ambrose noticed that Booker was still on the stage staring at him. "Can I help you with something?" asked Ambrose towards the 5-time WCW Champion. Booker said that he has a bit of problem with Ambrose talking about how no one shows him respect. "Maybe you're not getting any respect because that's exactly what you lack. You not only disrespected Jericho last night, but also myself and the entire SmackDown locker room when you walked out on your team," said Booker to a round of applause from the WWE Universe. "SmackDown won the match, they were just fine without me," said Ambrose. Booker told the Intercontinental Champion that that's not his point. "What I'm trying to say is that as of late, you've acted like nothing more than a punk ass kid who needs to be taught a lesson in respect." Ambrose took a step back before asking Booker if he was challenging him to a match? "You're damn right I am," he responded. Ambrose then told Booker that if he wants a match with wrestling's hottest entity today, then he can have it this Friday on SmackDown. "That is, if you can get up from this," said Ambrose before blasting Booker in the side of the head with the Slammy award! Ambrose cowardly made his way to the backstage area as a few officials tended to the fallen Booker T.
BREAK
A promo was shown for this Friday's edition of SmackDown. After Cody Rhodes managed to retain the World Heavyweight Championship at Bragging Rights, how will Daniel Bryan rebound? SmackDown, this Friday on SyFy.
Returning to the 2012 WWE Slammy Award, Justin Roberts introduced the presenter for the Match of the Year award. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome.......WWE Hall of Famer, good 'ol J.R., Jim Ross!" The audience showed their respect to Ross as he made his way out to the stage with the honor of presenting the Slammy for Match of the Year. A video package was then shown to highlight the five nominated bouts. John Cena vs. The Rock from WrestleMania, The Undertaker vs. Triple H from WrestleMania, Team Punk vs. Team Laurinaitis from Extreme Rules, Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara from SummerSlam, Kurt Angle vs. Daniel Bryan from Hell In A Cell, and Team WWE vs. Team Maddox from Survivor Series. "And the Slammy goes to......The Undertaker vs. Triple H from WrestleMania!" said Ross as the audience went wild. The theme of Triple H hit as the Chief Operating Officer made his way out to accept the award. Rather than giving his speech from the podium, Hunter entered the ring. Chants of "Triple H" rang throughout the arena as "The Game" thanked the WWE Universe. He said that the reason he's giving his speech in the ring instead of on the stage is because every day, he misses stepping into the squared circle. "At WrestleMania, I stepped into here with The Undertaker and attempted to do what no other man has been able to do, and that is end the streak. 'Taker and I beat the living crap out of each other, and with Hell in a Cell surrounding us, we had one of the most brutal matches in recent memory. It's a match that I am extremely proud of, and with this Slammy for Match of the Year, it's great to know that the WWE Universe thinks highly of it as well." As Triple H tried to speak, he took notice of the "Please come back" chants. Hunter said that as much as he would love to return to action as a full time competitor, that doesn't seem likely at the moment. "I've taken on other responsibilities in the WWE and I'm very happy with where I am. However, I give each and every single one of you my word when I say that you have not seen the last of the 'King of Kings' in this ring! Thank you all so much!" said Triple H as he placed the microphone on the mat. He received a standing ovation as he raised the Slammy award above his head. Suddenly, the screen effects of The Wyatt Family were seen before the lights shut. When they came back on, The Wyatt Family was shown surrounding the ring! Triple H tried to defend himself by going after Luke Harper, but the numbers game quickly caught up to him. Erick Rowan whipped Triple H into a Lariat from Harper before Kane got a hold of him. The "Big Red Monster" delivered a huge Chokeslam as Bray Wyatt looked on. He asked for his followers to hand Hunter over to him. "Down with the machine," said Wyatt before planting Hunter with Sister Abigail! The Wyatt Family stood tall over Triple H, but why? What was the meaning behind this bizarre and vicious attack on the COO of this company?
BREAK
Returning to RAW, a recap of the previous segment was shown. After Triple H accepted the Slammy award for Match of the Year, the emotional moment was interrupted by The Wyatt Family. The four of them would proceed to assault Hunter before Bray Wyatt finished off the attack with Sister Abigail.
FANDANGO DEF. KOFI KINGSTON After both men failed to help RAW capture the Bragging Rights trophy last night, they were looking to rebound here tonight. After Kofi failed to connect with a Springboard Crossbody, Fandango was able to head to the top rope and come down with a Diving Leg Drop for the win.
After the sound of the closing bell, Fandango stood to his feet as he celebrated his victory. A portion of the audience "Fandango'd" as the "Smooth Superstar" soaked it all in. He made his way up the entrance ramp, perhaps heading into 2013 with a bit of momentum on his side.
Fandango's music silenced as Justin Roberts introduced the presenter of Diva of the Year. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome back to the WWE........Lita!" The audience erupted as Lita made her way out to the stage, taking a moment to say that 2012 has been one of the most incredible years for the Divas division in WWE. And right now, we'll find out who was most responsible for that. A video package then aired for the nominees. Eve, Beth Phoenix, AJ Lee, Paige, Summer Rae and Kaitlyn. Following that, Lita opened the envelope as a drum roll could be heard. "And the Slammy goes to.........Paige!" The crowd roared as the "Anti Diva" stepped out onto the stage, hugging Lita before accepting the award. Paige said that while she is outspoken about the term "Diva," it's an honor to be recognized in this way. "One year ago, I was preparing to leave England, my family and friends because I had the opportunity of a lifetime. I made a name for myself in NXT and then decided that I was ready to step into the big leagues. And not too long after, I made history by becoming the youngest female to ever be a champion in WWE. To say that I made history in the WWE is something that still blows my mind, but it's a reality. And last night, I finally got rid of the Divas division's nightmare, Eve." A few boos emerged for the mention of the former Divas Champion who lost her career last night at the hands of Paige. "But even though I am Divas Champion and the Diva of the Year, this is all just the beginning. 2013 will be an even bigger year for myself and all of the women in the locker room. We're taking women's wrestling to places that it has never been before, and I am proud to say that I represent this movement as the Divas Champion." The WWE Universe continued to show their support as Paige raised both the Divas Championship and the Diva of the Year Slammy in the air.
BREAK
Returning to the Slammy awards edition of Monday Night RAW, Michael Cole promoted this Friday's edition of SmackDown. Along with the Dean Ambrose versus Booker T match that was made official earlier in the evening, Antonio Cesaro and Damien Sandow will receive their opportunity at the WWE Tag Team Championships against Wrestling Royalty. It all happens this Friday night on SmackDown!
Following that, the commentary unit briefly discussed the upcoming Battle Royal for the Superstar of the Year Slammy award. A video package for the nominees was shown, though this video ran much longer than the others that have been shown this evening. WWE Champion CM Punk, John Cena, Wade Barrett, Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus and Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose all battle it out. At the end of the night, one of them will be named the 2012 Superstar of the Year.
Cutting to a camera backstage, Dolph Ziggler was shown making his way down a corridor. The newest member of the SmackDown roster was set compete in one of RAW's most star studded main events ever. Suddenly, Ziggler was attacked by Alberto Del Rio, Antonio Cesaro and Damien Sandow. The three men who defeated Ziggler to win the Bragging Rights trophy viciously and relentlessly assaulted him, capping it off with a Cesaro Swing into a wall. The three SmackDown stars left Ziggler motionless on the ground, subsequently taking him out of the running for Superstar of the Year.

A promo was shown for the Royal Rumble, live Sunday January 27th on Pay Per View!
SUPERSTAR OF THE YEAR BATTLE ROYAL WADE BARRETT LAST ELIMINATES WWE CHAMPION CM PUNK W/ PAUL HEYMAN With Dolph Ziggler taken out prior to the commercial break, nine superstars remained in this contest from the get go. Despite their confrontation at the beginning of the broadcast, CM Punk and Cody Rhodes formed an alliance early on to eliminate Ryback. Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose was the next to fall to the floor after being on the receiving end of a Brogue Kick from Sheamus. While Sheamus took a moment to catch his breath near the ropes, Rhodes snuck up behind him and sent him over. Rhodes' next target was the man who he defeated last night at Bragging Rights, Daniel Bryan. As Rhodes was attempting to eliminate him, Bryan managed to counter it and sent Rhodes over and out! The World Heavyweight Champion was eliminated! The audience went wild and shouted "Yes!" repeatedly as Rhodes was livid. He then re-entered the ring, attacking Bryan and eliminating him. Rhodes tossed Bryan face-first into the steel ring post before heading up the entrance ramp furiously. Four superstars now remained in the match. CM Punk, John Cena, Wade Barrett and Randy Orton. One of them would receive the Slammy award for Superstar of the Year. Unfortunately for the "Viper," it wasn't destined to be him after Cena was able to deliver an Attitude Adjustment over the top rope. Cena looked to be in control as he hit Punk and Barrett with simultaneous Five Knuckle Shuffles. However, Seth Rollins made his way into the ring through the audience. He came up behind Cena, grabbing him and tossing him over! Rollins quickly exited the ring as Cena sat in disbelief. Last night, Rollins screwed him out of the WWE Championship, and now the Superstar of the Year award. Nonetheless, Punk and Barrett were now the lone survivors in the match. As Punk was going for a Go To Sleep, Barrett managed to catch his knee before the maneuver could be successfully hit. Barrett then grabbed Punk's head, sending him over and out onto the floor!
The audience erupted as Barrett dropped to his knees, letting out a huge shout. Punk, on the other hand, was furious at ringside and he and Paul Heyman argued with the official. Barrett was then handed the Slammy award as he raised it high in the air. Confetti fell from the ceiling and fireworks were shot off as it was time to celebrate. Wade Barrett is the 2012 Superstar of the Year!

Slammy Awards Review
The Wyatt Family going after Triple H like that, going after the COO, I do have to wonder why the Wyatts would go after him? If this leads to Triple H feuding with the Wyatt Family then I am all good with that especially seeing Triple H feud with Bray Wyatt in particular but also seeing him feud with Harper, Rowan and Kane especially I can see this leading up to the Wyatt Family getting an even bigger push especially if they are feuding with the COO of this company
But seeing the WWE Champion CM Punk in the same ring with the World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes to start off the show, I loved it, but these 2 were trying to upstage each other but if anything both of them are in the prime of their lives but if anything Punk he is the present but Rhodes is the future of this business and just who will be champion longer out of these 2 men?
Bateman in the Rumble Match, I wonder who else will confirm themselves for the Royal Rumble Match? Will it be 30 men in the Rumble or 40 men? Either way I can't wait
But seeing Barrett win Superstar of the Year I would say he was definitely fitting for the title too, he had a great 2012 that's for sure
Cesaro and Sandow becoming the new #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships, Wrestling Royalty's title reign looks to be in serious jeopardy now for sure
But Ambrose feuding with Booker T I love it

Wrestling Royalty is going to have arguably their toughest competition against Sandow and Cesaro, who have a ton of momentum at the moment. They also have JBL's backing. Something tells me that the match on Smackdown won't end with a decisive winner; Ziggler is probably going to be involved, as payback for the attack.
Wade winning the award was the right call. He has had an amazing year. I love the Wyatts, so a program with the COO should be interesting. Seth vs. Cena should be good and Reigns turning on the Miz was entertaining, seeing how I can't stand the Miz.

First off, I love that your Raw graphic features Punk and Paige. Interesting interaction between Rhodes and Punk, two of my favorite. Though I don't know if I'd have had Punk call the World Heavyweight Title meaningless. An RVD/Swagger feud for the United States Title actually sounds like a lot of fun to me. Wrestling Royalty was the obvious choice for Slammy winners as they have been outstanding and one of my favorite parts of this diary. Another match between them and Miz/Reigns sounds cool. Whoa, Ziggler to Smackdown was unexpected. Wrestling Royalty winning was the right choice but a Miz face turn hopefully goes better here than it has in real life. The promo for NXT sounds interesting. You repeated Rollins saying that he wasn't looking to start at the bottom of Raw after carrying NXT. fyi. Loved the explanation for Rollins and putting him with Cena could be golden. The tag team division is lovely here and The Usos becoming number one contenders could lead to a fun match. Whoa, hold that. Cesaro and Sandow is a team that I really like the sound of. After coming up big at Bragging Rights, a match with Wrestling Royalty is something I look forward to. Derrick Bateman's win was good since he's new and the post match promo was cool. Dean Ambrose as Breakout Star of the Year is something I dig but Booker T doesn't. A short program with these two would be nice. Triple H/Undertaker winning Match of the Year was cool, but seriously, I'm going to back and re-read this stuff. The Wyatts targeting Triple H is a brilliant move as it could lead to huge things for them. Fandango over Kofi is good. Of course Paige is your Diva of the Year. I'm not mad though. Smackdown is gonna be big with Ambrose/Booker and the Tag Title match. Looking forward to that. Wade Barrett was Superstar of the Year is unexpected but I really do like it.
Overall, another strong show from you as this continues to be one of, if not, my favorite read ever on this board. Seriously, I just got laid off and don't have much to do so I may give this a re-read while watching some WWE Network this week. Look forward to more.

Awesome to see that this is still going man, can’t say I’ve kept up with this all that much during my time away but I’m glad to be able to come back to it. Really enjoyed the show, was a cool Slammy’s show. Opening segment was fun, as is having Rollins & Cena feud straight away. Intrigued as to what’s happening with the Wyatts & Triple H. The Bateman promo on the Rock was cool and I really, really enjoyed the whole show. Will be following once again.

Following the signature WWE intro, the theme song of Cody Rhodes hit as the World Heavyweight Champion made his way out into the NXT Arena. The Full Sail Audience gave the “Prince of Pro Wrestling” a mixed reaction as he stepped into the ring. He said that for that past number of months, he has heard the universal praise that NXT has been receiving. “Many people are saying that the future of the WWE is being established right here in this ring. There is one problem with that statement, though. The future is already here, and you’re looking at him. The future is your current World Heavyweight Champion. The future is the man who has defeated the likes of Randy Orton, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan to retain his title. The future is the man who brought Kurt Angle’s illustrious career to a definitive end. The future is Cody Rhodes!” The World Heavyweight Champion then said that there is not a single person in the NXT locker room who can hold a candle to him in this day and age, or at any point in the future. At that moment, Rhodes was interrupted by the arrival of Richie Steamboat. The “Son of the Dragon” told the World Champion that he wanted to point something out to not only him, but the WWE Universe as a whole. “Yes, you’re the World Heavyweight Champion, but can you really say that you are responsible for all of your victories? And to top it all off, you brag about not only ending Kurt Angle’s career, but affecting his body for the rest of his life. Angle, one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, may never be able to step into that ring again and you just pat yourself on the back,” said Richie as the audience seemed to be in agreement with him. Rhodes lashed out at him, saying that he needs to show the World Heavyweight Champion a bit more respect. “Besides, Richie, we all know what this is about. You’re not angry with me, you’re jealous of me. Not only jealous of my accolades, but also of the fact that I have been able to step out of family’s shadow. I am bigger than the entire Rhodes family, and you will forever be remembered simply as Ricky Steamboat’s son and nothing more.” Richie responded by asking for the opportunity to prove to Rhodes that he is not only capable of one day being in his current position, but that he will one day be better than him. Rhodes granted Richie his request as our main event for the evening is now set. Cody Rhodes versus Richie Steamboat, tonight on NXT!
NON TITLE MATCH NXT CHAMPION KASSIUS OHNO DEF. XAVIER WOODS The new NXT Champion did not seem to be entirely focused on the task at hand after last week’s return of the man that Ohno took out at NXT’s last iPPV, William Regal. Xavier Woods was able to capitalize on this later in the match, almost getting the victory after hitting a Flying Crossbody onto Ohno. As Woods was going for the Honor Roll, Ohno was able to counter it and deliver a Yakuza Kick. He then picked up Woods’ motionless body, throwing him against the ropes as he rebounded into a Roaring Elbow. Ohno covered Woods with the hook out of the outside leg for the victory.
Following the match, Ohno was handed back his NXT Championship, but he allowed it to fall onto the canvas as he went back on the attack on Woods. Ohno continued his assault until William Regal rushed into the ring. Ohno was able to escape with the NXT Title, heading up the entrance ramp while asking for a microphone. Ohno told Regal that he didn’t want to get the wrong idea. “Don’t think that I’m afraid of you, Regal. I’ve beaten you to an inch of your life before and I will gladly do so again, but not tonight. Not after you ruined my championship celebration last week. So we’ll have our little rematch in three weeks on the first NXT of 2013.” Ohno dropped the microphone as he began to head for the backstage area, but Regal was able to stop him. “Ohno, have you forgotten who you’re dealing with? You should know that for every move you make, I make two. I already had our match for January 9th confirmed by Ricardo Rodriguez, but there is one detail that you should know about. The NXT Championship will be on the line! See you on the other side, Ohno!” said Regal as the audience came unglued. Ohno’s expression was blank as his first defense of the NXT Championship comes in three weeks against one of the toughest competitors in WWE history.
Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with Tyler Breeze, who was admiring the selfie that he took last week with a beaten Sami Zayn. She asked the “Gorgeous One” for his explanation as to why he attacked Zayn last week. Breeze said that Zayn should have known better than to disrupt his time of admiration last week. “That uggo, Sami Zayn, is just jealous that he was not born with my God given good looks,” said Breeze as he continued to stare at his phone. Suddenly, Zayn stepped into the scene. “I’ll take it from here. Thank you, Renee,” he said before she gave him the microphone. “Are you even going to look at me?” asked Zayn, which prompted Breeze to respond with “I’m afraid that if I do, you’ll contaminate me with your hideousness.” Zayn said that if Breeze wants to continue their fight, then they can do see next week. “Yes, yes, we will. Now move along, this is the money shot. I can feel it,” said Breeze as he was prepared to take another selfie. At the exact moment that he did so, Zayn placed “bunny ears” behind Breeze’s head. Breeze was horrified as Zayn moved along, setting the stage for their rematch next week.
NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINALS RAQUEL DIAZ W/ VICKIE GUERRERO DEF. BAYLEY The NXT Women’s Championship tournament entered the semi-finals phase as Raquel Diaz and Bayley went at it for the opportunity to make history on January 9th. Bayley had the upper hand, but a distraction from Vickie Guerrero cost her dearly. Raquel was able to sneak up behind Bayley, hitting a Gory Bomb to capture the victory.
Raquel Diaz rolled out of the ring as she and her mother, Vickie, celebrated the fact that the “Queen of NXT” will be going on to the finals of the NXT Women’s Championship tournament on January 9th. Next week, the other semi-finals match will take place and we will learn who will compete against Raquel to crown the inaugural champion. Will it be Emma or Sasha Banks?
Backstage, Richie Steamboat was shown preparing for his match later tonight against the World Heavyweight Champion, Cody Rhodes, when Bo Rotundo walked into the room. He asked Richie why he challenged Rhodes to a match tonight. “What do you mean why?” asked Richie. “I’m just saying that I think maybe the NXT audience would rather see me compete against Rhodes,” declared Rotundo. “Bo, some of these people hate your guts, if you couldn’t tell by now,” said Richie. Rotundo said that he has only heard them chant for him. “They’re not saying, ‘boo,’ they’re saying, ‘Bo!’” he said as Richie stared at him as if he were delusional. Richie told Rotundo not to worry about Rhodes or whatever he believes that fans are saying towards him. He needs to focus on their rematch against Corey Graves and Jake Carter for the NXT Tag Team Championships on January 9th.
TRENT BARRETA DEF. ADRIAN NEVILLE A rematch from three weeks ago here on NXT, which received a ton of praise from superstars and fans alike. This time, however, the result was a bit different. As Neville was attempting to hit the Red Arrow, Trent moved out of harm’s way. Neville held his ribs as he backed against a corner, allowing Trent to charge towards him with a double knee strike. Trent followed that up with a Springboard Tornado DDT for the win.
NON TITLE MATCH WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION CODY RHODES DEF. RICHIE STEAMBOAT VIA DISQUALIFICAITON A fantastic bout to close things out on tonight’s NXT. In Cody Rhodes’ mind, this should have been a completely one sided match. However, Richie Steamboat brought his A game and delivered, giving the World Heavyweight Champion an incredibly competitive fight. Midway through, Bo Rotundo made his way down to ringside to support his tag team partner. Rhodes would later deliver a Suplex to Richie on the outside, but not without striking Rotundo with a Clothesline. As Rhodes was looking to hit Cross Rhodes, Richie was able to counter out of it and gain a near fall. From there, Richie was on fire, taking it to Rhodes before ascending up to the top rope for a Flying Crossbody. However, Bo Rotundo slid into the ring and attacked Rhodes, causing the disqualification finish.
The NXT audience showered Rotundo with boos as the announcement was made that Richie was disqualified. “What the hell were you thinking?!” asked Richie to Rotundo. As the two were talking, Rhodes shoved Richie into Rotundo before planting the former with Cross Rhodes. The “Prince of Pro Wrestling” took his World Heavyweight Championship before heading up the entrance ramp, leaving Richie Steamboat and Bo Rotundo downed in the ring.

| December 21st, 2012 - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | Royal Rumble is live in six weeks on Pay Per View! |
Tonight’s edition of SmackDown kicked off with the surviving members of Team SmackDown from Sunday’s Bragging Rights event in the ring. Alberto Del Rio, Antonio Cesaro and Damien Sandow, along with the temporary General Manager, John Bradshaw Layfield. The Bragging Rights trophy was on display as Bradshaw began to speak. “This past Sunday at Bragging Rights, SmackDown proved to the world why it is superior brand in the WWE. You want to call RAW the ‘A show?’ Well get a good look at the real ‘A show’ and the A players,” he said. Bradshaw then revealed that coming out of Bragging Rights, there are two huge announcements that he will make right here and right now. “The first announcement should be clear to all of you. Alberto Del Rio, will you please step forward,” said JBL. The “Mexican Aristocrat” did so as Bradshaw began to sing his praises. “When Team SmackDown needed you the most, you stepped up and helped claim the Bragging Rights trophy. And for that, I believe that a little incentive is in order. So Del Rio, I proudly declare you as the newest member of the most elite group in WWE history, God’s Gifts!” Del Rio seemed shocked and surprised at the announcement as he embraced Bradshaw before doing the same to Cesaro and Sandow. The temporary SmackDown General Manager then moved on to his second announcement, one that was made this past Monday on RAW. “Because of SmackDown’s victory, we were able to pick and choose which member of the RAW roster we wanted to claim as our own. And we didn’t hold back. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to SmackDown, a former WWE Champion and the man who let RAW down at Bragging Rights, the ‘Not Much of A Show Off,’ Dolph Ziggler! The WWE Universe popped for the arrival of Ziggler as he made his way down to the ring, not in the brightest of moods. He stood in the ring as God’s Gifts laughed at him, continuing to place RAW’s failure on his shoulders. “Let me ask you, Dolph. How does it feel to be a loser? How does it feel to know that just one month after letting down Team Maddox, you did the same to Team RAW?” Ziggler then snatched the microphone out of Bradshaw’s hand, telling him that in some ways, he is right. “I did let down Team RAW. I let down the WWE Universe, and I also let myself down. But that doesn’t mean that I still can’t steal the show every damn day of the week. I’ve been doing it on Mondays for the past two years, and I have no problem doing it on Fridays now.” Ziggler then told Bradshaw that he knows at any given time, he can beat any member of the so-called ‘God’s Gifts.’ “And that includes your golden boy, Cody Rhodes,” said the ‘Show Off.’ JBL chuckled at Dolph’s statement, but the former RAW superstar continued on. “Not only can I beat Rhodes, but I could take his precious World Heavyweight Championship in an instant.” Bradshaw told Ziggler that if he really believes in himself that much, he might be in luck. “Sunday was a great night for me, Dolph. Part of that was because I got to sit back and watch you fail. And frankly, I wouldn’t mind watching you fail again tonight, so you’ve got your wish. Tonight, you will compete against Cody Rhodes and it will be for the World Heavyweight Championship.” The audience responded heavily in favor of the announcement as Ziggler seemed more than satisfied. “That is, if you can even make it there….” Said Bradshaw before Del Rio, Sandow and Cesaro attacked Ziggler. The three members of God’s Gifts stomped away on him before help came in the form of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Wrestling Royalty. God’s Gifts stormed out of the ring as Joe Hennig and Ted DiBiase helped Ziggler to his feet. DiBiase then took a microphone, asking where Cesaro and Sandow were going. “The last time we checked, you two have a date with us for the Tag Team Titles, so get your asses back in this ring,” he said before we took our first commercial break. When we return, it’s Wrestling Royalty versus God’s Gifts for the WWE Tag Team Championships!
BREAK
WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS WRESTLING ROYALTY DEF. ANTONIO CESARO AND DAMIEN SANDOW W/ JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD AND ALBERTO DEL RIO VIA DISQUALIFICATION Just five days after retaining their titles in a grueling Ladder Match, Wrestling Royalty had another defense on their 262nd day as the WWE Tag Team Championships. Cesaro and Sandow, who had all of the momentum in the world coming out of Bragging Rights, gave DiBiase and Hennig one of their toughest challenges to date. When Cesaro attempted the European Uppercut onto DiBiase, he was able to block it and hit Dream Street. As DiBiase was getting the cover, Sandow and Alberto Del Rio, who wasn’t even in the match, attacked him. The official had no choice but to call for the bell and rule this one a disqualification.
At the sound of the bell, the post-match fight was even as Sandow and Del Rio brawled with DiBiase and Hennig. Once Cesaro was back on his feet, however, the playing field shifted in favor of God’s Gifts. John Bradshaw Layfield watched with pleasure at ringside as three of his men took it to the WWE Tag Team Championships. A few short moments later, the audience came unglued as Daniel Bryan hit the ring with a steel chair, swinging at the heads of all God’s Gifts members. Bradshaw, Del Rio, Cesaro and Sandow all headed up the entranceway as Bryan and Wrestling Royalty stood tall in the ring, the entire WWE Universe engaging in a “Yes!” chant frenzy.
BREAK
Returning to Friday Night SmackDown, God’s Gifts were shown in John Bradshaw Layfield’s office, livid over what just occurred following the WWE Tag Team Championship match. “I owe it to you, JBL, to prove my worth to this group. Give me Daniel Bryan tonight and I’ll take care of him,” said Alberto Del Rio before he was granted a match with Bryan later tonight. The door could then be heard slamming shut as World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes walked in. “What the hell are doing?! I carry this show as its champion and this is how you repay me?! Putting me up against Dolph Ziggler tonight for my World Heavyweight Title?!” shouted an irate Rhodes. JBL tried to calm him down, assuring the “Prince of Pro Wrestling” that there is nothing to be worried about. “Just to make sure that what happened out there in the Tag Team Championship match doesn't happen in your match, I’ll go ahead and make it No Disqualifications. Plus, you have all of us right behind you,” said the temporary General Manager. Rhodes said that it’s not like he needs any of that to defeat Dolph Ziggler, but with No Disqualifications now in place, he’ll gladly take advantage of the opportunity and do to him what he did to Kurt Angle.
RANDY ORTON DEF. HEATHER SLATER W/ 3MB With “The Viper” coming off of a huge victory at Bragging Rights against Big Show, he was looking to continue riding his wave of momentum tonight with a victory over the frontman of 3MB. As Slater had the official occupied, Jinder Mahal slid into the ring. However, he was met with an RKO. When Drew McIntyre tried to get involved, Orton caught him with the same maneuver. Finally, Slater was the victim of a third RKO as Orton covered him for the victory.
The audience erupted for Orton as he stood to his feet, looking down at the fallen members of 3MB. “The Viper” then took a microphone from ringside, saying that this past Sunday, he went to war with the Big Show, but managed to come out on top. And with Show out of the way, there’s only one thing in his sights now. “On January 27th, my road to WrestleMania begins when I win the Royal Rumble for a second time in my career. I don’t care who stands in front of me, and I don’t care whose dreams I have to crush along the way. I am going to headline WrestleMania and once again take my rightful spot at the top as a champion.” Orton dropped his microphone as he exited the ring, making an emphatic statement heading into the Royal Rumble.
Backstage, Scott Stanford was standing by with the Intercontinental Champion, Dean Ambrose. The man who claimed to be the WWE's "Diamond in the Rough" on RAW stepped into the interview set, Stanford asking him for his thoughts heading into tonight's match against Booker T. "My only real thought is whether or not Booker's got a freakin' death wish or something. I'm the hottest thing going in the WWE today. I'm the 'Diamond in the Rough,' not some old washed up fossil like Booker. He thinks he's still one more fight left in him, that's fine. He's just going to find out the hard way that it's time for all of the has beens to step out of my world. I took out Chris Jericho on Sunday and tonight, I take him out too." Ambrose left the scene as he prepares to meet the five-time WCW Champion tonight on SmackDown.
BREAK
At this time, the RAW Rebound was shown. The focus was on the presentation of the Slammy Award for Match of the Year. The Undertaker versus Triple H from WrestleMania was the recipient, and “The Game” was on hand to accept the award. During his emotional speech, he assured the WWE Universe that they have not seen the last of him in the squared circle. Hunter’s moment was then interrupted by The Wyatt Family, who viciously assaulted him. “Down with the machine,” said Bray Wyatt as he delivered Sister Abigail to the COO.
ALBERTO DEL RIO DEF. DANIEL BRYAN Daniel Bryan has had a score to settle with God’s Gifts as of late, and tonight, he was up against the newest member of the factions. Bryan seemed to be in control as he gearing up for the Running Knee. However, John Bradshaw Layfield began to slowly make his way down to ringside. Bryan’s emotions got the better of him as he launched himself through the second rope and onto the temporary SmackDown General Manager! When Bryan rolled back into the ring, Del Rio caught him with an Enziguri, followed by a roll up for the victory.
Del Rio slid out of the ring at the sound of the bell, assisting John Bradshaw Layfield up to his feet as the WWE Universe showered the two of them with boos. Bryan held the back of his head as he stared at Del Rio and Bradshaw, revenge against God’s Gifts still on his mind after he was screwed out of the World Heavyweight Championship at Bragging Rights.
Speaking of the World Heavyweight Championship, a graphic was shown for tonight’s No Disqualifications title bout. Cody Rhodes puts the gold on the line against the newest member of the SmackDown roster, Dolph Ziggler.
BREAK
Returning from the commercial break, Renee Young was standing by with the "Celtic Warrior," Sheamus. She asked Sheamus for any of his plans heading into 2013. He said that he has quite a few. Jump out of an airplane, stick to a good diet, meet his long lost great, great grandfather back in Ireland, but as far as wrestling goes, he does have one thing to say. "Earlier tonight, Randy Orton announced that he will be competing in the Royal Rumble match on January 27th. And right now, I'm making that same announcement. Orton, Rock and anyone else who enters better take notice because almost one year ago, I was one elimination away from winning the whole thing. This time, it won't slip out of me grasp," said Sheamus.
NON TITLE MATCH INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION DEAN AMBROSE DEF. BOOKER T After witnessing Dean Ambrose betray Chris Jericho and Team SmackDown at Bragging Rights, Booker T was looking to teach the Intercontinental Champion a thing or two about respect. As Booker was looking to hit the Scissors Kick, Ambrose managed to dodge it and deliver an STO. As Booker stirred to his feet, the "Diamond in the Rough" delivered a Knee Trembler that allowed him to seize the victory.
A disappointed Pittsburgh audience booed Dean Ambrose heavily as he was handed back his Intercontinental Championship, raising it while placing one foot on Booker T's chest. Ambrose grabbed Booker by his hair, trash talking him for a bit before backing into a corner. Ambrose pulled down one of his knee pads, looking to hit another Knee Trembler. That was not to be as Chris Jericho rushed into the ring, causing Ambrose to bolt into the audience. Jericho stared at Ambrose as the Intercontinental Champion stood in the aisle way.
BREAK
A promo was shown was shown this Monday's Christmas Eve edition of RAW, promoting an appearance from Santa Claus himself. RAW, next Monday on USA.
#1 CONTENDERS MATCH KAITLYN DEF. AJ LEE A match between former best friends and the current top two contenders to Paige's Divas Championship. AJ found herself in trouble several times throughout the match, Kaitlyn's size advantage getting the better of her. AJ found a bit of momentum after applying the Octopus Hold, but Kaitlyn was able to power out of it. AJ had a bit of time to breathe before attempting a Shining Wizard, but Kaitlyn caught her with a Spear for the victory.
Kaitlyn rolled out of the ring as she had her arm in raised in victory. She could be seen uttering the words, "It's about time" as she stared back at the motionless AJ. Kaitlyn is the new #1 contender, and at some point soon, will receive her opportunity against the 2012 Diva of the Year, Paige.
Backstage, Dolph Ziggler was shown making his way down a corridor. He meets Cody Rhodes for the World Heavyweight Championship, next!
BREAK
A promo was shown for the Royal Rumble, live Sunday January 27th on pay per view.
NO DISQUALIFICATIONS MATCH FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP DOLPH ZIGGLER DEF. CODY RHODES With the No Disqualifications stipulation in place, Cody Rhodes had God's Gifts at his disposal. Ziggler tried to finish things early, but Rhodes took his time to punish the "Show Off." After Ziggler kicked out following a Disaster Kick, Rhodes grabbed the World Heavyweight Championship. He stalked Ziggler, waiting for him to get to his feet before striking with the gold. Rhodes got the cover, but Ziggler was able to kick out! Rhodes' frustrations grew as he picked Ziggler up, but was then caught in a small package roll up. Rhodes kicked out, but was then met with a Superkick! Ziggler could have had the victory at the point, but God's Gifts hit the ring. Much like on RAW and earlier tonight, Del Rio, Cesaro and Sandow brutally assaulted Ziggler. Rhodes slid out of the ring, taking the opportunity to sit back and watch his opponent by decimated. However, Wrestling Royalty and Daniel Bryan came running down the entrance way! They took the fight to God's Gifts, brawling all the way to the backstage area and taking them out of the equation. JBL then rolled into the ring, rolling his sleeves up as Ziggler stirred to his feet. He attempted the Clothesline from Hell, but Ziggler dodged it and delivered a Dropkick that sent the temporary SmackDown General Manager out of the ring! Rhodes came up behind Ziggler, placing him in position for Cross Rhodes. However, Ziggler fought out of it and delivered a Zig Zag! He got the cover on Rhodes, the victory and the championship.
"We have a new World Heavyweight Champion!" shouted Michael Cole on commentary as the WWE Universe stood to its feet and roared with excitement. Ziggler was handed the title as he stared at it for a moment before raising it high in the air. "That is the biggest backfire in SmackDown history! JBL brought Ziggler over here to make his life hell, and all of a sudden, Ziggler's the champion!" added Josh Mathews as the "Show Off" leaped into the audience to celebrate. Several highlights from the match were shown, notably the appearances from Daniel Bryan and Wrestling Royalty to make sure that Cody Rhodes did not receive assistance from any members of God's Gifts. Ziggler stepped back into the ring, climbing onto the top rope as he raised the title in the air. December 21st, 2012 is a date will forever live in SmackDown history! Dolph Ziggler is the new World Heavyweight Champion!

a little late with RAW, but I'm certainly not late for SMACKDOWN. I'm surprised RAW started off with Team SMACKDOWN and CM Punk, great awards for all the superstars winning, including Wade Barrett winning Superstar of The Year and also the Wyatt Family attacking Triple H, pretty bizarre hopefully we will see a Triple H/Wyatt match in the near future at WrestleMania 29. I wondered why they did that, was it because of Kane getting upset cause Triple H having a match with The Undertaker or was it just the Wyatts's idea, on the SMACKDOWN side, what a way to bring in Dolph Ziggler and he gets a World Title Match with Cody Rhodes. Nice way to have Orton beat the Entire 3MB swatting em off like flies, well Paige has another title defense down the line against Kaitlyn, hopefully Paige can win this one, but I'm glad to see someone finally ended the Rhodes Era and it's Dolph Ziggler "ABOUT F'N TIME". Dolph Ziggler wins the World Heavyweight Title, a great 2012 first winning the WWE Title and now the World Heavyweight Title. Ziggler is certainly going to be a future World Champion I believe but great shows, now do yourself a favor and reply to my WWF 1994.

Here's a reply to both NXT and Smackdown. Boom.
Still love that you use the "Prince of Pro Wrestling" moniker for Cody Rhodes. Rhodes/Steamboat could be an awesome main event, love having the World Champion appear on NXT. Ohno over Woods was obvious since Ohno is the champion. Regal/Ohno for the belt makes the first NXT of the year a big deal. Should be fun. Zayn/Breeze is a fun little rivalry, I'm a fan of both guys. Aww, Bayley loses. Regardless, the NXT Women's Title Tournament is cool and pairing Raquel with Vickie makes her a threat. Emma/Banks is something I look forward to. I absolutely love the Bo Dallas "bo-liever" gimmick. Trent Barreta/Adrian Neville would be awesome, surprised to see Trent win but I like it. Great main event, cool that it ended in a DQ. Rotundo/Richie feud is cool and right move to have the World Champion stand tall. Great edition of NXT, realistic but with your own flavor added to it.
Good opening promo on Smackdown to help Dolph Ziggler get over. A title match sounds good. Loved Wrestling Royalty coming out to help and good opening contest. Frantic stuff with Daniel Bryan getting involved too. Fun opening. Del Rio/Bryan should be great too. Quick squash win for Randy Orton is fine. Always fun to see someone stake their claim for the Royal Rumble. Nice promo from Dean Ambrose. Good first hour main event, Del Rio winning gives him momentum even if it was with help. Ambrose over Booker was the right move and I love the idea of Ambrose/Jericho. Could be incredible. Kaitlyn over AJ was fine but I don't see Kaitlyn taking the belt from Paige. Whoa, absolutely shocked to see Dolph Ziggler win the World Title here. Seemed very Attitude era like, in a good way, with all of the run ins. Reminds me of when Mankind won the belt from The Rock. 2013 should be so much fun and this was a very good show. Big fan of it.

We have a new World Heavyweight Champion, we have a new champion, Ziggler has done it he's the champion, Ziggler ends Cody Rhodes' title reign Ziggler ends up saving all of us from the Prince of Pro Wrestling by beating him to become the new World Heavyweight Champion and Rhodes was champion ever since SummerSlam but now that he is no longer the World Heavyweight Champion I wonder where Cody Rhodes goes from here?
Cody Rhodes has his re-match clause for the World Heavyweight Championship and I can see Cody using his rematch clause either next week here on Smackdown or Cody Rhodes ends up having his rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble
Ziggler wins the WWE Championship and now the World Heavyweight Championship to end off a great 2012, I wonder what 2013 has in store for The Show Off?
Kaitlyn becomes the new #1 Contender for the WWE Divas Championship by beating AJ, it is about time Kaitlyn gets a push and especially towards the WWE Divas Championship, Kaitlyn vs Paige for the WWE Divas Championship should be a good one and I can see that match happening at the Royal Rumble pay per view
RAW Christmas Eve edition, I can't wait, I wonder how we are going to celebrate Christmas Eve on RAW? Santa Claus I am sure will be in attendance but I wonder if there will be any Christmas themed matches or if there will be a Battle Royal?
Dean Ambrose beating Booker T was expected, but seeing Ambrose's change in attitude, his overall demeanor as of late, and after the year he had I would say 2013 will definitely be the Year of Ambrose but seeing Jericho come to Booker T's rescue, something tells me that Ambrose and Jericho's paths will cross again and if they do it will definitely happen in the Royal Rumble Match that's for sure
Sheamus laying claim to the Rumble going on about how he is going to win it, he very well could, I mean he is a favorite
Del Rio beating Bryan, I didn't expect that but seeing this result I can't say I am surprised given the fact that Bryan lost at Bragging Rights to Cody Rhodes, and seeing as how Del Rio has seemingly just joined "God's Gifts" he needs all the momentum he can get so a win against Bryan was essential
Orton pretty much taking care of business giving all 3 members of 3MB RKOs and then laying claim to the Rumble Match, Orton is my personal pick, he is my pick to win the 2013 Royal Rumble Match with Orton winning the match for the 2nd time in his career, he has won it once before in 2009 where he went on to headline WrestleMania 25 so I can see Orton doing it for the 2nd time going on to headline WrestleMania 29
And the WWE Tag Team Champions, Wrestling Royalty, DiBiase & Hennig beating Cesaro and Sandow by DQ I can't argue with that, it saves their impressive title reign but at the same time I can see these 2 teams going at it again at the Royal Rumble pay per view and if that happens then I wonder if DiBiase & Hennig will be able to retain their titles in that regard?
I wonder if God's Gifts members will be in the Rumble Match? Because if they are then either Sandow, Cesaro, or Del Rio could be favorites and not to mention their leader Rhodes he will probably have himself a title rematch so I would have said if Rhodes didn't have his rematch then he would be a favorite heading into the Rumble Match
But the odds on favorite to win it all is obviously The Rock, but if Cena is in the Rumble Match then Cena has got to be another odds on favorite but if The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar is in it then business will definitely pick up fast

It should have been Daniel Bryan.
Anyways, I loved the show. And I still love the idea of Dolph Ziggler being the World Champ. Cody can still go on with the feud with Angle, and it opens up another top feud spot on Smackdown.
