I don't understand the hatred toward The Rock. You all act like he owes you something. We're lucky he's done as much as he has. I chalk the hatred up to where we are, This is a message board for pro wrestling. It tends to have some really passionate fans here who over analyze and there is nothing wrong with that. Its fun at times. But whenever The Rock shows up on RAW hes met with overwhelming cheers. The masses love The Rock. Is there 10-20 people on a message board that dislike him, YES! But its a minority for sure. |

I look at it as him being mentioned in some way every week, which he has been this past year, he was probably mentioned a handful of time in those 7 years he was away, he is mentioned all the time now |

For what it's worth, he's made six appearances since that promo.
And he's gotten people who haven't watched in years or never watched talking about it.

In all fairness, he probably appeared more than anyone else would have if they had become "bigger than the business," as he did. Like say if...I dunno...Dolph Ziggler, or someone like that, became a huge movie star, who knows if we'd EVER see him again. Rock may not show up very often but he probably shows up more than most others would be willing to.

A friend at work never watches wrestling but was asking about Rock fighting again. He's actually thinking about ordering WM just to see him fight again. |

You make it seem like he was coming back full time. Did he talk out of his ass about 'never leaving'? Yes. But he has done more appearances and whatnot compared to when he was gone for 7 years. And quite frankly, you're saying its "awful" when they're doing a fine job of building towards WM w/ Punk/Jericho and HHH/Taker. So if you want to complain and let it dampen your mood, more power to ya. |
