I mean, i dunno, i think it could be something that has been planned for ages, especially if it is to be Takers last match, i just think that Taker collapsing at last years event, arguably shaving his head months ago and other instances could have been a lead up to a big plan... then again, WWE could have weaved this storyline between all those random occurances.

Yes I knew the moment Taker was carried out there would be a rematch.

Yes I knew the moment Taker was carried out there would be a rematch. The night after WM was also a dead giveaway even though most people thought this match wasn't going to happen and it turns out it actually is . I actually wanted the rematch to happen but then i thought it would be pointless but now it looks like it will top last years match.

I don't think they had all the details laid out like Undertaker cutting his hair, they just now tied that in, but it was evident they planned for this match to happen after WM last year when Triple H came out and said Taker when you are healed, come and find me.
Although WWE does drop storylines all the time so if they decided to go in a different direction then they easily could pretend like that never happened like they have done in the past.

I think they had planned for the match to happen this year since last year but didn't have the storyline set until around this time.

Their match last year was terrible so I hope they do better this time round.
But yeah, definitely planned.

How anyone can say the match was bad, let alone "terrible" confuses me greatly. It's in my top 10 of all time...

I think they planned it, but I don't think they planned the hair thing. If they would have planned that, they wouldn't have had Taker come out with a wig last week. They would have just had him cut his hair after Raw.

That match being a top 10 of all time is not right on many levels.
But on topic. WWE doesn't plan this extensively for a story a year in advance.. I don't think anyways.

Their match wasn't any good last year imo. I don't want to see it, and it appears ratings wise, that the audience doesn't care about it either so far based on the abysmal rating that segment drew on Monday. Which is a shame because I thought Hunter and HBK were fantastic with what they did. Triple H said, I know they, the audience, don't want to see me beat him, and that to me is true. Which is great, except for he is going to beat him.
To the point though, I think in retrospect, that WWE had it mapped out all long. I was just hoping it wasn't true and they would go with something else.

My thought is no. I think HHH was the best thing out of no options for this year.

I believe the night after Wrestlemania last year Triple H came out and told Undertaker that if he ever decided to come back, that "I'll be waiting".
It's different than the story that Triple H is telling now about how he felt sorry for Undertaker and "doesn't want to be that guy" to end him...but he also didn't become "COO" until over the summer, so perhaps that changed his character's perspective on the business, Undertaker, and the streak.
But I think they obviously knew it was going to happen again this year.

From what I understand, Taker-HHH was supposed to happen at SummerSlam along with Rock-Cena, then Cena would take on Taker at WM. Then they dropped it the DAY AFTER WM 27 and went along with Rock-Cena for WM 28.
