They're annually released which is think is a good amount of time. Android phones on the other hand become outdated every few weeks with such a large quantity. Yes, but all of the top tier ($150+) phones are have far better specs than the iPhone and many of the lower tier Android phones do as well. Sorry, Android fanboy couldn't stop himself. Anyway, Apple usually sticks to a one year release cycle with the iPhone. If that's the case they won't come out with another one until Octoberish. I don't know what else they could add to it at this point. The top Android phones out there have 4.3" + screens and quad core processors. That's about the only difference between them hardware wise. I think a quad core processor in the iPhone 5 is a given. I don't know if Apple will jump to the 4.3" screen or not. They could always make the phone thinner I guess. That's another trend. You have a point. Android phones do relatively have better specs than the iPhone. But iOS is simple enough that better specs aren't necessarily essential. Android has much more capacity to do things with the phone, and therefore needs much more power. I doubt the next iPhone is going to go quad-core. It's unnecessary and battery life can be compromised with the addition of it--which Apple is pretty concerned about considering unlike Android phones, you can't switch out the battery easily. They'll probably just go with a more powerful dual-core. After using vanilla Android for so long, all the skins that companies slap on like Motoblur, HTC Sense, and Touchwiz look flat out disgusting that I really can't consider any other Android phone besides the Nexus line despite other phones having superior specs. I'm not a big fan of rooting either.

Yeah I'm in a predicament like this as well. My Droid Incredible is by far the worst phone I've ever had, and I can finally get rid of it in March. I want an iPhone as soon as possible, but if a new one is coming out in the summer, I'll just suck it up and wait.

If you guys are waiting for the iPhone, the earliest they'll probably release it is on or around October. They use to release the iPhone annually around June-July time before, but I don't think that'll be the case for the next one.

I still love it. My only beef with it was the extremely crappy battery life. The battery life ing sucks. No question there. Other than that, I loved the phone. The iPhone is a good device if you don't mind being locked in to the Apple universe. The Android phones are good devices if you don't mind being locked in to the Android universe. You have more choice in Android though although that's not what everyone is looking for.

Last summer the LCD inside fried when I had the phone in my pocket on a really hot day, and the replacement I was sent was awful. It would randomly restart or shut down whenever it wanted, so I had to have yet another replacement sent to me. The one I have now constantly glitches, freezes, restarts, etc. Sometimes it won't allow certain calls to go through, and certain text messages never make it to my phone. It started doing this new thing recently where I go to take pictures, the pictures won't save, and the phone restarts. I'm so done with it.

Since they put a new OS on my droid it has been garbage....slow, apps dont list, or they slowly load, resetting constantly. I loved my droid before that, but Id rather drop 500$ now and just get rid of it. Its maddening how awful it is now
