I really enjoyed the show, I'm someone who hasn't watched full time in close to 3 years and it probably isn't going make me do that but I had a lot of fun watching it.
It was a 2 match card (you could probably add Jericho/Punk but it was overshadowed by the other 2 big matches) though, but they were 2 fantastic matches. Taker/Triple H was absolutely phenomenal. The Rock/Cena was electric and definitely felt like a big time match, Rock going for 30 minutes not wrestling in 10 years was great too, I popped for the finish. Jericho/Punk was good but could've been better, the crowd was pretty dead, it was overshadowed by the other two matches but it couldn't really compete with them and outside of the ending stretch there wasn't anything overly memorable about the match and when talking about this Mania for years to come I think it'll get lost behind the other two. Undercard was spotty though.
I'd give it a solid 8 with Taker/Triple H getting a 5 star and Rock/Cena a 4 and a quarter. Had a lot of fun watching and it really brought me back to being a kid.

Loved Wrestlemania. Will order the DVD now The guy in crowd who called his momma was the funniest part. But Taker vs HHH should have been the last or second last match

Good show, but some questionable decisions were made.
p.s. lol at the amount of people who seemingly loved this show based just on the results, or hated it just because of the results. I don't see how who wins in a pre-planned event determines the quality of an event.
I'd give Mania a 7 or 8 out of 10.

The performances by Flo Rida and MGK really sucked the life out of the start of the Rock/Cena match for me. Crowd wasn't buying it, the performances were piss poor and phoned in, and it really kind of left a sour taste in my mouth as the match started. Atmosphere was nowhere near what I expected it to be. I really thought it would rival, if not top Rock/Hogan, but in what should be viewed as a true testament to the power of Toronto crowds, Miami simply couldn't match it, not even close. I thought the crowd would be non-stop on their feet from bell to bell, and instead they really only popped for major moments and the occasional half-hearted, overlapping cheer that just sounded like noise. The match itself was about as good as I expected it to be. It wasn't a classic, by any means. Finish came out of nowhere, and quite frankly, shocked the living hell out of me. It's clear this thing is far from over, and I assume Cena will get the last laugh in a very definitive way. In the end, the Rock/Cena match really did have three equal parts - Rock, Cena, and the fans. I think the Miami crowd really failed to push that match over the edge into the territory of being something truly special. Cena/Punk from last year's Money in the Bank felt like it was worth far more given the crowd reaction. That shouldn't have been the case. I also think it was a bad move to have the Live Performances inbetween Cena and Rock's entrances. I'd rather they did a 5/6/7 minute long video package to get the fans at absolute boiling point before Cena and Rock entered, as if it was a big Boxing Match, and then by the time they did the stare down the fans would of exploded. They clearly tried to emulate parts of Rock vs Hogan, and I think the WWE and everyone alone was hoping it would have a Crowd replicating that one rare Toronto night, but it just didn't happen. I'm not sure if this is because we've already seen Rock in action at Survivor Series, or the build was dragged for too long that it was an anti climax, but the fans just didn't create that Hogan vs Rock atmosphere. We may never know what the Crowd in Miami would of sounded like had there been a domed roof over the Stadium though...

You guys didn't watch the same show as me. The crowd was on fire all the way through Rock/Cena.
Amazing Wrestlemania for what they had. I'm beginning to miss when the roster had more depth.. oh well.
I want to see if Roode/Storm matches anything on this show.
Taker/HHH is my favorite match of all time now.

How does WWE consistantly make Mania less and less exciting every year.
I do not understand the reasoning of no opening pyro to get the crowd pumped up. There is no reason the WHC match should have lasted 15 seconds. Lack of individual entrances for Team Teddy/johnny could have added some sort of excitement, and the Brodus/Santino/Live Music segments really just made the show feel shitty.
Plus I am still confused that Rock went over Cena, it is a total head scratcher.
On the bright side, Kane v. Orton was suprisingly good, the HIAC (while lacking use of the cell) was still great, and Jericho/Punk was spectacular.
I don't know why but it just seems like instead of trying to put out the best product possible, WWE continually tries to dull itself down, either intentionally or unintentionally.

I enjoyed it, but what bothered me is that I don't think the main event had closure. With Rock and Hogan, they shook hands, an eventually walked up together, but here, the Rock did nothing that indicates he has respect for Cena. They had an opportunity to do a passin of the torch moment, and I feel they missed it.

This started w/ Rock costing Cena the match last year against Miz. This is how it ends?

I've just finished watching Mania - I watched half live last night but fell asleep after Hell in a Cell, and i've watched the whole event again today.
There is no excuse for the Sheamus/D-Bry squash - this did nothing for either man. Time wasn't a factor as there was plenty of other filler that could (should) have been dropped (Brodus Clay!!). If they wanted to make Sheamus look like a monster, or D-Bry look a coward they could have achieved that in a 5-10 minute match.
I was happy to see Kane beat Orton, albeit surprised. Kane didn't have anything to gain by winning but it's a nice pat on the back from WWE as he is usually the guy to put others over.
Same with Cody/Big Show - I wasn't expecting Show to win at all. I was kinda hoping Cody would retain and continue his IC belt reign and get close to Honky Tonk Man's record for holding the belt. But as the opening clips showed, WWE kinda owed Show a WM moment for all the embarrassing WM's hes had in the past.
Hell in the Cell was awesome. The cell wasn't used much, but this kind of match was easier for Taker to work. Apart from some brutal chair shots Taker didn't have to take too many risks (dive over top rope) and hopefully this means he will be back again. He did look old though. I hope Taker makes it to WM30 where he can receive a proper send-off befitting of his character and contributions.
Punk/Y2J I really enjoyed. Best 'wrestling' match of the night. I'm a big fan of both and they worked a solid match. Glad Punk retained.
Cena/Rock - this match made me feel like a kid again. A match I really never thought i'd see. A bit of a Hogan/Warrior moment. Personally i'm glad Rock won - it shows Cena is not the superman he is too often portrayed as. I am shocked that Cena lost clean though. The finish came out of nowhere, I was waiting for Brock Lesnar, or some other form of interference to happen, or Cena to have a foot on the ropes. I do hope that Rock winning means that we see a series of matches between them, because Rock is not selfish enough to not return the favour to Cena - I think Cena losing cleanly means there will be more to come, perharps a match at Summerslam then a 3rd at WM29. I expect Cena to come out on top in the end.
Not a bad WM, not the best but certainly far from the worst. I was entertained throughout and am now looking forward to RAW. Hopefully Brock will make an appearance.

I gotta say for all the hype, for all I thought it could have been, besides HITC I feel a bit let down.
Sheamus/Bryan Was an absolute joke. To do that was just absolutely unnecessary and started the show off in REAL bad taste. I really thought those guys would have had a nice memorable WM match. I don't care that Sheamus won, I like Sheamus alot...I'd put him my 3rd favorite in the company right now behind Punk & Bryan....however both of those guys deserved better. I just don't get it.
Orton/Kane Was surprisingly good. A lot of people are souring on Orton because he always wins. A lot of people are souring on Kane because he came back with the mask (even though everyone wanted him to come back with the mask) and he's not that good in the ring (even though Kane has always been pretty much the same in the ring for his entire career) But those guys went out and put on a decent match. It wasn't overly boring, and Kane winning was an actual shock. It wasn't a 5 star classic, but no one should have expected it to be. So i was fine with it
Cody/Big Show Was as expected. Like it or not, Big Show is one of the biggest (no pun) superstars in wrestling history...he deserved to have a good moment at Wrestlemania and now winning the IC title (the only title he never held) is the icing on the cake of an amazing career. It's pretty obvious he won't be around much longer on a regular basis so to me, he deserved the win. After weeks of Cody provoking him it was bound to happen...so why not? Cody will be fine, he has a long career ahead of him and will be a major player within the next 2 years. i really despise the mentality that every wrestler who's been with the company for 10 years should ONLY put "young guys over"
HITC Was absolutely amazing. Both guys laying it all on the line. I would have liked a little more use of the cell as a structural weapon, however I noticed there was a lot less space between the ring & the cell than usual, probably because of the design. So that hindered a lot of their out-of-the-ring stuff. Honestly though that match was everything I expected and more. The drama with HBK, the brutal chair shots, and the ending....3 guys going to war, settling their differences in the ring and walking out together in a sign of respect. Just incredible.
Punk/Jericho Started slow...surprisingly. Finished strong. Had they kept the pace of the 2nd half that match would have been in the top 5 greatest WM matches ever, but the beginning kind of dragged it a bit. I was actually surprised Punk won. I would have bet my life on Jericho taking the belt. But it seems like the WWE really is behind CM Punk as their #2 guy (with the awesome entrance, made him feel like the most important guy on the roster) and hopefully will let him carry the title for a few more months.
Team Johnny/Team Teddy Could have been better. Too many guys. Should have been 4 on 4 or even 5 on 5. It was just a cluster. Couldn't get into it, couldn't really care about anything. A few cool spots and a wild finish don't make a great match. At least Ziggler again showed why he is the next big star. Miz looks like he's going to get back to main eventing and Johnny Ace is going to be all over TV now. Shame Otunga didn't get more time. He needs to be pushed to the next level ASAP. He is getting so much better.
Rock/Cena Biggest match ever? Meh, not really. The waste of time "concerts" in between their entrances was completely not necessary. Cena's entrance was nothing special...neither was Rock's. Honestly I didn't see anything amazing from either guy. I saw a guy who hadn't wrestled a full match in 9 years face the top guy in the company....and win. Really? I knew that Rock didn't come back to do a job. However the only way it made sense was to have Cena act like the heel and get cocky only to have it backfire and Rock out of nowhere get the pin. This saves Cena where he will realize that getting cocky got him nowhere and is only going to make his character a bigger face. However I thought the match was pretty formula stuff...nothing too amazing, and the prolonged top rope move stuff just showed that when you look through the smoke of Rock ass kissing, he WAS a little rusty.
Biggest Wrestlemania of all time? No.
But it was overall a fun show and will be talked about for months...until we start talking about WM29.

It was an ok show. I still marked out like a little boy for Undertaker's entrance and Jericho/Punk was great. I even enjoyed Cody/Big Show... Cody calling out Show was a great storyline, and as much as I dig Show as a person, he's always been filler at Mania. WWE had a decent show for what it was. People have to remember WWE isn't for wrestling fans anymore, it's for people that want to be entertained. I think they pulled it off.

Watched Wrestlemania last night, it was a solid card on paper and even better in execution.
Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus I was a bit gutted about the World Heavyweight Championship going on first and then being only 18 seconds but by the end of the show, it didn't bother me because they were far too many pros that outweighed it. In-fact, when the show finished, I watched that match again and started laughing about it but I can see why it would bother some people.
Kane vs Randy Orton I wasn't expecting Kane to win but after losing to Cena earlier this year, he needed the win.
Cody Rhodes vs Big Show Not bad, although they were somewhat limited to what they could do so I didn't expect this to be that great. Big Show at this point in his career, doesn't need the IC Championship though.
Divas Tag Match Decent match, obviously the best part was Kelly's flip from the top rope. Maria looked lifeless out there but then again, she was injured.
Undertaker vs Triple H Quite possibly the best Hell In A Cell I've ever seen, this may just beat Triple H vs Batista at Vengeance. First off, Undertaker came out in the best jacket of his career, and his hair wasn't that bad either. In the weeks leading up, I said that HBK wasn't needed but his actions really did add to the match. I honestly thought the streak was over when Taker got the Superkick and the Pedigree, damn near hit the roof when I jumped out of my seat after the two count. The finish was perfect, with shades of Wrestlemania 26, Undertaker got the retribution he wanted and Tombstoned his way to 20-0. Still couldn't believe it after the match, wow.
GM Tag Match Not bad but how the hell do you follow the Hell In A Cell? Not much to say but the right team did win, so that means Johnny on Raw and Smackdown, wooooooooo!
CM Punk vs Chris Jericho Started off slow, Jericho intentionally trying to get Punk disqualified was great "In the head, Punk!". The huracanrana into the Walls Of Jericho was great, had a feeling Jericho would reverse the move but didn't expect that. Good finish with Punk applying the Anaconda Vice away from Jericho's knees.
Rock vs Cena What was the point of the little concerts? If Rock and Cena came out while the songs were being played then it would make more sense but they didn't, just seemed pointless. Anywho, the new Cena shirt looks bad, green isn't a good colour and made Cena look homeless. Cena didn't get the boos I was expecting, maybe they were louder in person? Rock was in fine form tonight, the unpredictability made this match even better too. I did expect Cena catching Rock into the AA was the finish but Cena's elbow into the Rock Bottom was fine.
Hell of a PPV 9.5/10.
