Also try using R Truth hands with the white backs. Sting wore black Mechanix gloves with white writing.

The Morrison hair is a great suggestion! What boots fit stings look best? Road warrior boots? Drew McIntyre's boots would be perfect and maybe the EG Taker's coat

i just never liked that toybiz head sculpt. it doesnt even look like a human being none the less sting. the tna toybiz scan is great but you'd have to add longer hair. the 2 or 3 other wcw toybiz heads are also all better than the one you chose.

Here's a question... Do you plan on adding the coat? Cause if so you may not want your hair to hang much longer. The boots would be an easy fix. Like others have said LOD or Drew would be ideal.

I think Drew's boots work better for that version of Sting. If it were a Starrcade/surfer version I would use the LOD boots. Are you planning on sculpting the pads?

Would look better with the Toybiz TNA Masked Fury headscan or the Series 5(?) one, as they are actually scanned heads, where as the one you used is just a sculpt

I think the head looks great. Try putting a EG Taker or E2(?) Matt Hardy coat on him and let us see what that looks like.

It's a nice figure for sure, but as some others have been saying, the head just seems off, I think it's the hair, if it was to lay on his neck or just flat down it would be cool, but it just seems strange the way it floats in the air.

I doubt he'd add those because he tries to make his figures look like they came from Mattel. So I doubt he'd sculpt on those thigh & cod piece pads.
Dean maybe try the Grip & Flip Sting head hollowed out? That's my favorite long haired WCW Toy Biz Crow Sting head. Of course now I have to back to TRU for another Bushwackers set for the torso..so I can make one. lol

Im cutting them off the Toybiz figure and gluing them to the Mattel legs. I also have some other ToyBiz stings coming from the Bay so I'll decide which head looks best after those are received. I had no idea this would be such a huge undertaking. But, I vow to make a nice looking Mattel stinger.

Love the crow Sting so far Dean. Like others have said before, just a couple small changes and it'll be perfect. In JBL's best voice..."you are a fix ups god"!!!

I tried the cutting off the Toy Biz pads and gluing them on a Jakks Sting and failed big time. lol Here's the head I was talking about. It's on a Scott Steiner I've started so like I said I'll need another Bushwackers set (torso) and Best of PPV Hitman (arms) so I can try it. lol

this is Toybiz's TNA series 7 Sting this is the realscan version of Toybiz's TNA Masked Fury Sting (there was also a non-realscan snarling version) best pictures I could find. the masked fury head is attached to the neck so would require hollowing. Both are excellent likenesses in my opinion. Toybiz also made a realscan snarling Sting (in the 2-packs series with jeff jarrett) but I would guess you're going for the serious face look. The masked fury sting head is slightly larger than the series 7 sting head.

Got ManKind today! What a great figure! There's not much I'd change about it. It's pretty much spot on IMHO. I'm not real crazy about how it looks without the mask, but really who wants ManKind without the mask on anyways? Maybe when it hits retail I'll pick up another one for a hair swap to be closer to Cactus Jack... Rock and Sock!
