For this year, I remember rumblings of Edge v. Christian dating back last year until they found out the severity of Edge's injury, so the match will never happen now. Also, Sin Cara v. Rey Mysterio & Shaq v. Big Show were rumored but don't look like they are going to take place. Yeah this years Mania had a TON of rumored matches that arent coming to fruition.

I heard that Hogan vs Big Show WM 23 was talked about but got scrapped and when it did whoever was running in Memphis (Not sure if Lawler was or not) booked the match about two weeks after Mania. I was told they finished just like WM3 Hogan slammed Show dropped the leg and 3 count. i watched this match and it's true, pretty amazing slam for his age. i would die for hbk/bret II to have came to realization.

Chris Jericho vs Big Show vs Triple H vs The Rock at WrestleMania 2000. Ugh I would have loved that. Yes it would have taken away a really good match but I hated that Main Event. Easily in the top 5 worst Wrestlemania Main Events.

I have a bunch of them:
Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat - WrestleMania IV = Not sure why they were never pair up in the first round or even placed so they'd meet later in the tournament.
Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair - WrestleMania VIII = I think it boiled down to the fact their house show matches just didn't draw or excite the fans WWF was looking for.
LOD vs. Demolition - WrestleMania VII = Same reasons for Hogan vs. Flair
Bret Hart vs. Randy Savage - WrestleMania IX = WOuld have been one hell of a match. I feel had Yokozuna debut after the Rumble, we would have seen this match
Bret Hart vs. Ultimate Warrior - WrestleMania IX = Supposedly this was also rumored and described a bit in Bret's book
Owen Hart & Jim neidhart vs. Smoking Gunns - WrestleMania XI = Supposedly Neidhart was to be Owen's mystery partner, not Yokozuna. But something fell through and Yokozuna was brought in eariler than expected
Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels - WrestleMania 13 = the orginal main event that was penciled in since summer of 1996
Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin - WrestleMania XIV = Another main event penciled in but was changed thanks to the Montreal Screw Job
Steve Austin vs Vince McMahon - WrestleMania XV= Not really rumored but more like a match that would have been a fitting end to an incredible feud.
Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan - WrestleMania X-8= This should have been the match instead of Rock vs. Hogan. Austin would have faced Hogan and The Rock would have faced Scott Hall
Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Perfect- WrestleMania X-8= Probably the second coming of Savage vs. Steamboat from WrestleMania III. A classic the fans will sadly never see.
Kane vs. Kevin Nash - WrestleMania X-8 = Not sure why Nash was given a bodyguard role and Kane squared off against Angle in a odd match-up.
Rikishi, Scotty 2 Hotty & Albert vs. Test, Lance Storm, & Mr. Perfect - WrestleMania X-8= This should have been on the card and not a Heat pre-WrestleMania match.
RVD & Kane vs. Lance Storm & Sean Morley - WrestleMania XIX = Again another Heat match that would have added to an already solid card.
Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan - WrestleMania XIX= Another chance to have Hogan vs. Austin. If these two had faced each other we could have seen Rock vs. Vince or something for the two and have Hogan vs. McMahon saved for WrestleMania XX
Hulk Hogan vs. Muhamman Hassan - WrestleMania 21 = They had a brawl segment why not just have had them have a match?

It was never rumored or reported but I still can't believe WWE never pulled the trigger on John Cena vs. Hulk Hogan when the opportunity presented itself in Detroit for Wrestlemania 23. The biggest star of one generation passing the torch to Cena, in Detroit, just as Andre did for Hulk twenty years earlier.
The fact that the world was robbed of Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart in the main event of both Wrestlemania 13 and 14 is a testament to the extreme displeasure the two had for each other at the time. Could have been an awesome trilogy of matches, ranking right up there with Austin-Rock.

Easily in the top 5 worst Wrestlemania Main Events. I agree..That is one of my top 3 least favorite WM main events..I wasn't into it at all..Would have preferred Jericho over Foley..He should have just stayed gone after that kickass match at no way out..I always thought it was dumb he lost the retirement match to HHH, but was allowed to come back for Mania
