I've been at Stage 3 for many, many years.
However, I often wish I could go back to Stage 1 again..it would make accepting what we currently see much easier.
I'll never forget the ferocity of seeing The Four Horsemen attack Dusty Rhodes week after week.

Meh, can't be bothered with Stage 3 as I can't wrap my head around gimmicks like "Funkasarus" or Santino's. Although I've always discussed booking styles, drawing power, and ring psychology for YEARS with my friends. So I'd say I'm mixture of 2 and 3, leaning towards 2.

I do not fall into any of those catergories.
I am the wrestling fan that simply likes to be entertained, and most of the time, is entertained.
- At a show I would cheer the Faces and Boo the Heels, as that's kind of what the wrestlers are aiming for, and it's all part of the fun.
- I don't really know much about or actually really give a s*** about behind-the-scenes stuff.
- I find people that constantly use all the wrestling lingo to be uncoincidentally, bungholes.
- I like a guy with charisma, but I also like a guy who clearly gives it their all in the ring, AND I like flashy moves from time to time.
- I cannot stand how a lot of people base their opinions of wrestlers seemingly on their drawing power; from a personal, fans point of view I don't care who's a draw, and who isn't, if I like them, I like them. Some people act like it's the be all end all; sure it's important, for the company, not for us, so quit blabbering on about it.
- Sometimes I feel like being a critical bastard (see my Miz thread the other day), but mostly I don't watch wrestling with a 'critical eye', I watch with the positive aim to be entertained.
- 5-star matches and cool looking moves YEAH!
p.s. I call this the 'Don't lump me into a crapty catergory' phase.

stage 3 without a doubt, although aspects of me fall under the other two.

Stage 2 (despite my 20s being far in the rear view mirror) and proud of it. Charisma, entrances, and promos are only appetizers. I can see good character development in other places. The main course is the in-ring action. Without that, everything else is a waste of my time.
And, yes, I'm looking at you, Ultimate Warrior.

well i would not say that I really fit into any of these categories.
I have been watching for more than 20 years and I think that everything has a place in the show. I don't want every match to be a five star 20 plus minute match. I am fine with a diva match or a Santino skit that makes me laugh.
I like everyone do not love everything they do but I don't see the sense in complaining about it.
But I also don't really care about drawing power or booking styles or ring physcology because I don't want to be cynical or critical.
I still watch stuff from 20 years ago but honestly I find it hard to get into the territory days as it is just slower and kinda boring to me.
I have watched wrestling from Japan, Hardcore wrestling (Czw, other Japanese hardcore wrestling IWA Deathmatches)
I went to wrestling school and I was in a small independent promotion for probably only a year and a half and I think most people eventually will become jaded to it.
I think I have come full circle I love wrestling again, I am thankful for what I get to see and I want to enjoy it for what it is and not look to deeply into it.
If I can laugh at it and enjoy the big matches and the effort that people give then I am happy with that, although sure there will always been things that I am not into or would not spend money to see.

I said number three since it's the most fitting but in truth I judge my fanhood of a talent based on their careers as a whole along with ring-style/consistency & my personal entertainment which is a rather chaotic system. Randy Orton for example: As the legend killer I only liked him against upper mid card guys or when his gimmick was in full force dealing someone such as Hogan or Mick Foley, but the character on his own is useless.
Mark Henry is a good example. I love monster heels who have an enormous power game & a flavor of crazy. Just Sunday night he was in the main event of the SD! House show I was act. There was a 20 something mom with her baby who she had put a Sheamus shirt on him (He was facing Sheamus in a street fight at the moment) And he kept yelling at her "Gimme that BABY!!!" as he made eating gestures.
Most people don't like him but I like everything about him including the fact that according to powerlifters he's the strongest African American in history since he's the only one on the 900lb deadlift list.
Overall I enjoy who I enjoy & admire good spots, consistent matches, clever, original promos & most wrestling styles. The only wrestlers I don't like are normally the ones who are trying to be a heel but they are really just being a tool/douche which just makes you question why they are there to begin with.
So I suppose I'm just your typical die -hard fan other than when I watch it I choose to watch it as a portrayal of a sport which makes it much easier to enjoy what's going on no matter the promotion or talent you're observing.

I'll put myself closer to the first. I just like watching the show and not picking it apart. I read the outside stuff and rumors sometimes, but when it comes down to it, I watch it for what its supposed to be, entertainment.

I went with stage 2 but if we were allowed to pick two I would have went with 2 and 3 as they both describe me pretty well but im still of fan of flashy moves and things like that.

Not really sure where I would fit. Been watching for well over 24 years and plan to continue. I enjoy it, don't watch it so I can bitch n' moan about it constantly. Don't feel the need to over analyze ever small detail, or come to Wfigs to force my opinion onto others.
And I cheer for those who love the business. To me, I love the guys who grew up as fans as opposed to those who want to make a quick buck.
So... You can tell me, where would I be on your poll?

I'd say a mixture of two and three. I wish I was still a part of the innocent believer phase.
