If Papy Abedi can get a 3rd fight after being finishing in the 1st round twice, Mayhem should get another crack at it. Especially if his knee played a role in the loss.
Though Papy Abedi is an awesome name, so I can understand why they would maybe not fire him. Plus if he doesn't work out in the WW division, they can pull him off tv for a bit, repackage him as Melvin Manhoef, and hype up his MW debut with some mysterious vignettes.

Barboza's leg kicks are nasty, I love watching him fight in general.

Justified stoppage. You can't just lay there and take shot after shot like that. Good stoppage by Mazzagatti.

WOW! Varner looked impressive as hell. That was one pick I for sure thought I had wrong.

Tough stoppage to call, but I agree, Barboza did nothing for several seconds. While Varner can be a bit of a tool sometimes, it's good to see him do well here against someone that I'm sure many thought would devour him. Wasn't Varner even considering retirement not too long ago?
And wow, I didn't notice he was only 27. I thought he was that age way back in the WEC days when he took out Razor Rob.

that stoppage is totally justified... whether he was throwing bombs or not, there were 6-7 unanswered blows, and barboza wasnt even considering putting his free hand near his face to try to block.

Well I know the result, but I'm still more than happy to get to see the fight. I remember Glover from way back on that Tapout crew show. Good to see him finally get a win in the UFC.

brandao is BLAZING fast. elkins did want this fight on the ground, but brandao looked really fluid down there too. elkins is fighting for one mistake right now... he better hope he gets it before brandao buries him. 10-9 brandao.

Domination by Brandao. Not sure if that was a 10-8 or not.

10-9 elkins, he really took advantage of brandao slipping, and took over from there. standing was pretty even til that point.
