The thing is if a new star broke it, what if in a year or two they arn't over. I remember around WM 26 i think Ted Dibiase was suggested to break the streak and now he is in the mid card. A veteran like Triple H breaking really wouldn't advance his career much at this point. So I feel that it shouldn't end, but WWE has done a great job the past few years making me think the streak is in danger.

Man, I can only imagine it being broken by a newer guy, only for him to fade away. Then if someone like Triple H or another vet ended it I wouldn't be happy either.

There's no way a new(er) guy should break it. If HBK, HHH, and Orton couldn't do it, why should a guy like Ziggler or Barrett break it, not to mention no one would buy that they're good enough (right now) to do so.
In my opinion, it has to end for Taker to retire. Triple H said it himself: When the Streak dies, the Undertaker dies. It has to end. Whether it's this year, which is very likely, or next year. In order for him to retire, at least kayfabe, it has to end.

Ziggler or Barret? no.. Somebody like Dean Embrosse... He's pretty much Raven/Stone Cold Steve Austin re-incarnate. That's the kind of guy that could come in hot and stay hot for a long time. How did you get that Dean Ambrose is like Raven/Stone Cold? I mean he does wear a leather jacket to the ring, and he can work but that's kind of a lot to pile on a guy. I love Mox as much as the next guy but Ziggler and Barrett are going to be sure-fire Main Eventers and Ambrose is still in FCW, albeit doing a great job. I don't buy into the "Brock Lesnar" philosophy either. Brock is the exception, not the rule. Guys like Cody, Ziggler, Sheamus, Barrett, those guys aren't going anywhere.

Given the current climate, and even though it's not a popular opinion, I think John Cena is the only guy currently in the company that should end the streak, if the opportunity ever arose.

Someone young because if it is someone young they can become a huge star with just that one win.

The only person I think should end it is Kane.

You know who could've been a prime candidate for ending Taker's streak, had WWE not put the boot to him on account of Orton?
Ken Kennedy.
The man was a rising star, had a marketable gimmick and was (slowly) climbing the ladder. He would've made a believable threat to the streak, and it could have been the rub he needed to hit Steve Austin-fame. Its a damn shame that excellent performers are f*cked so often over politics, but such is the nature of the business.
However, even though as a rule the huge rubs should always be given to the young guns, I still think Mankind deserves MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE IN THE WRESTLING BUSINESS to be the one to end Taker's streak. They've had the biggest, greatest and most iconic matches of their careers feuding with each other, but have NEVER met at Wrestlemania. Their gimmicks weave together so seamlessly, the material is so effortless to write, the feud would be outstandingly entertaining, the match would draw HUGE HUGE HUGE and both guys are so close to total retirement... its a travesty NOT to end it this way for BOTH of them!

That's a tough question. If you give the rub to a new guy, there is the chance that it won't work out. They could end up being another Ultimate Warrior or Brock Lesnar. At the same time, ending the streak would be an automatic shot into superstardom. Is there someone on the roster that is deserving of such an honor at the moment. I don't really think so. Rhodes or Ziggler maybe, but both of those guys are already somewhat established and can make a great career without ending the streak. I think it would be best if the streak stayed in tact. Wrestling fans can always talk about the legend of the Undertaker. 20-0 at Wrestlemania. A streak that can never be duplicated.

If it had to end, I wouldn't mind seeing a young star, someone new or who hasn't competed at Mania yet, start a winning streak. After they get to 3-0 say, Undertaker challenges them to the main event at Mania. The new star wins and they start their own streak.
