The TRU BOPPV lines are the most frustrating, ridiculous, over all most intellectually- disabled case ratios I have ever seen for the WWE line. First its Cena and HHH in the Elite line and then it seems like the case remained almost unchanged except for the subtraction of 1-2 figures so they can toss in a couple Daniel Bryans. This line has been out for maybe 2 months and I have yet to see Bret and only found Bryan 1 time. I'm willing to be they will take Bryan out of the mix and replace him with Bret where there is only like 1-2 of him in a case full of Cena and HHH.
Then the basics have the same problem they started with Rey and Cena then Christian is popping up and he is very visible compared to Bryan in the Elite series. Mark Henry is now popping up in my area which is a shock considering how fast he appeared.
The shelves in my area are clogged with Cena, HHH, Rey, and another Cena because every case of the BOPPV has these same figures. Who decided this was a good idea cause they should lose their job. I have never been a fan of a BAF being split into 2 series of figures but this is 1 BAF split between 4 figures but some genius decided this would be wise. I'm pissed cause I've got a Michael Cole with no legs and I don't see that changing I may just sell him for parts.
Thanks Mattel you JAKKed off again.
Before anyone comes running to Mattel's defense I don't really care, I'm venting because they gave a line to TRU that charges $2 more per figure and then the case ratio is funked up.

The case ratio is going to be evened out over time. Eventually there will be sets that only include Bret and DBD, otherwise the BAF will be unproportional. There has to be an even number of figures to make the BAF Cole a proper amount, otherwise they wasted their money on a bunch of extra Cole parts that don't have parts to match up with them.

The actual figures themselves are pretty good. It's the distribution that is a bit spotty.

Mattel is a company, lets see you do what they do. I love that argument, its quite possibly the most piss poor reason to come up with but I still love seeing it. Were customers, we buy the product that they create so us doing what they do shouldn't even enter the equation. I'm not saying Mattel are a bad company or anything because they've provided the best WWE figures yet.

I've said all along......when we are trying to BUILD SOMETHING, having such ass backwards case breakdowns where John Cena is far and above the most distributed figure makes NO SENSE. Because you're going to end up with people who have a hall of a lot of ARMS for Michael Cole and be totally unable to build the entire thing because they send hardly any Daniel Bryan's and like NO Bret Harts at all. There should be an equal amount of figures of each character in the set because we are all trying to build Michael Cole. Michael Cole pieces was the entire point of this particular series. So to screw around with the character ratio like this makes NO SENSE. Unless they FLOOD stores with Daniel Bryan and Bret Hart in the next few weeks/months, this series was an EPIC FAILURE. Mattel is a company, lets see you do what they do. And in response to you.....let me just say this. It's clear, nobody makes better wrestling figures than Mattel. NOBODY. Nobody ever has, and I doubt anybody ever will. None of us can do what they do. But I think all of us could come up with a more logical and organized way to get these figures to the stores and on the shelves. You can make the best products in the universe, but if you can't get them on the shelves in a normal way, it makes it pretty irrelevant. The floods of John Cena, Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio MUST STOP. I don't know what statistics Mattel are looking at where they think these guys are hot sellers, but they are the reason why new Mattel stuff doesn't get put out to stores on a regular basis because the stores simply have NO ROOM on their shelves because Randy Orton, John Cena, and Rey Mysterio ARE NOT SELLING! NOBODY IS BUYING THEIR FIGURES! So stores are either ordering less, or new Mattel cases are just sitting in the back collecting dust until something happens to these Orton's, Cena's and Mystero's.

There aren't going to be an even number. They made a lot more of the parts that come with Cena and Triple H.

The cases will even out eventually. (If not 100% it'll be fairly close) Retailers ask for these case breakdowns for a reason. Basically they see it as it causes more foot traffic in their stores...where they hope that the more times you go to the store looking for them the more times you'll purchase other things while there as well. And it does work because since I've been going looking for Bret without any luck I've purchased DCUC, ML and a couple video games that I might have purchased someplace else.

I hate TRU exclusives.
Probably because I hate TRU.
Very annoying.

I understand the frustration, especially if you don't live close to a TRU. However, every few weeks, I have been able to get each figure. Now at our TRU, ALL 3 of the earlier guys are available and I found Bret tomorrow (they had 4 of them). It did what TRU wanted -- it got me (and others) in their stores more often. If they had all 4 at the beginning, I would've bought them all that day and probably wouldn't have gone back again for a lot longer than every other week.

I'm not a fan of the TRU exclusives. The competition for these is too intense. You almost have to go to TRU every day, otherwise you'll miss out to the eBay scalper crowd.
When you see one seller with 6 Harts for sale, it's rather discouraging.

Yeah, I'm really starting to dislike TRU. There prices are terrible compared to other retailers.

Uh, that's how stuff works. They just don't ship everything at once. It trickles out. It's hard to find Bret and Bryan now but in month they'll be everywhere. Don't get pissy because you can't have them now. The nature of being a collector means being patient. Chill out.

Went in today, the same 10+ Cena BoPPV basics/elites from last week, no other exclusives, the employees don't know about them, blah. You folks that find anyone besides Cena are very lucky dudes.

Get ready for Collector Rage ;D
What makes no sense to me is the Cena ratio. I hope that Mattel does plan on making better case breakdowns for this line so everybody has a shot at building Michael Cole. I feel more sorry for kids in this respect, and I am sure there are more kid fans that watch RAW and that would love to have Michael Cole in their collection crappy commentator or not.
Also why would Mattel release a Cena figure in his red shirt, only to make another one for Elite 14. I bought the BOPPV elite Cena and I am sticking with this one for now. The new E14 torso mold is nice, but not enought for me to justify me buying another Cena that is almost the same thing. Good job Mattel for creating another peg warmer I'll be looking foward to seeing him on shelves when I am not finding the other figures I want in that set.
As far as the distribution bringing in foot traffic... true for some but not all. My TRU is starting to think that I am a creeper, or a thief. I work 30 second away from my TRU and I stop there everyday after work, and walk out empty handed. I live on a 1 figure per week budget (depnding on price) and at $22.99 a pop I do not want to buy something else only to go there the next day and not have money for what I was looking to get initially. I understand that stores think this is a great idea, but it is more of a 50/50 probability of sales rather than like a 80/20. They should be more concerned with keeping customers happy than playing parlor tricks to generate profits. I'd rather get the set as soon as possible so this way I can focus on other items that a TRU might have like my NECA collection. Not to mention that they make sales at times when they have crap inventory. Sorry whether if it's $1.00 or $20... if I do not need another Cena, or Orton I don't need one. I just love how some of these stores conveniently put out new figures they day after a sale. I understand that they do this to get rid of the pegwarmers, but it doesn't seem to work out all that well and in the end we still have 20+ Ortons and Cena clogging up shelves. Meanwhile, TRU, or at least my TRU, haven't been ordering other Elite series where other stores have. They wind up losing sales from me 9 out of 10 times because some of us are on budgets and if I have a particular list of wrestlers performers that I would like to get I will in some cases buy on the spot becasue I do not want to pay premium on-line prices and lose to the scalpers opportunists. If Mattel was ordering other sets in conjunction with these BOPPV figures then I might have bought at time where I wouldn't have, but for the last month or so I walk in take a gander, and walk out. Yes I do collector products, but again I am not going to buy a Transformer at TRU when there are 3 other stores with in minutes of eachother that sell the same ones for $2 or $3 cheaper.
Sorry for the long tangent, and yes it is just toys. Collecting is my hobby and passion of mine for over 25 years and I am getting sick of feeling like every WWE figure I want is a chase figure when it shouldn't be and I do blame the retailers more than Mattel. If these were Jakks figures, I wouldn't even put this much thought into it IMO.
