As I look back at the feud with the Rock and John Cena, I'll say that it was good but not what I was hoping for. There was too much talking and not enough physicality. All we got was a Rock bottom and the AA. I'm really looking forward to this match on Sunday. Besides all the talking, they could have made things a little more exciting for us. Don't you agree?

Eh I thought RAW was a little boring in general.

Agreed...the buildup was booked terribly. By the time we got to them having their own concerts on RAW it was clear creative was out of ideas on what else to have them do. I guess that's the risk you run when you announce a match and start building it up a year in advance.
That being said, I'm still ordering Wrestlemania.
Forgot to add, when you combine that with the fact that there was no physical interaction between HBK/Triple H/Undertaker there was an awful lot of talking building up to Wrestlemania more than anything else.

I agree but I'll have to wait to see the match before I can fully judge this whole thing.

Basically the way I look at it, in the history of WrestleMania, we've seen the right way and the wrong way to build up to a match a full year before. The right way, was Savage/Hogan. Not actually announcing it, planting the seeds, and letting it grow over time. The wrong way, Rock/Cena, announcing it a year in advanced, and having long stretches of time with no interactions, because you side can't even be on TV for those periods.

I like that there wasn't too much physicality. If we saw them fight a lot then why the hell are we waiting for Wrestlemania? We would have already seen them fight. And part of the excitement was that they had never fought before.

It is kinda weird that there has been no recent physicality in the build up for the two main events in Rock/Cena and HHH/'Taker, and Jericho/Punk haven't touched one another in weeks either. The reason is pretty simple, though: they're making you pay for the good stuff this year. You want to see them go at it? You have to order the PPV.

Nope. I didn't need to see them get into a fist fight which ends up accomplishing nothing, and really only serves to deplete the tension in the long run. It's going to be much more special seeing them really go at it for the first, and probably only, time at Wrestlemania.

Raw tonight was kinda doo doo butter.
Didn't feel like the go home show before 'Mania.
Cena just seemed to ramble on forever and the random short stare down at the end totally blew.

I can understand people getting pissed about the matches and lack of Triple H/Undertaker, but I don't understand how Rock and Cena getting physical would have made the Raw that much better.

Except for when Cena gave The Rock an Attitude Adjustment, and when The Rock rock bottomed Cena, and when The Rock rock bottomed him again.

I would have like to have seen some physical action with HBK practicing a referee match at least! Like in Kelly Kelly vs Eve match on raw. After Kelly Kelly got the win with the roll up pin it would seem as if HBK maybe made a fast count since Eve an beth would be complaining about it. Scene would cut to HHH watchign the match from the back then HHH gets a text from the UNDERTAKER and HHH reads it aloud "He's better then you" HHH throws phone at the wall and says rest in pieces!!! why not

i'm pretty sure it was reported that they didn't want any physical interaction between rock and cena before wm. i can understand saving it until the final moments, but promos every week can hype up a match for so long until it fizzles before it even happens.

Yup. I cant believe they dropped the ball with this years build up. The most physically built match on the card is Randy Orton vs. Kane, and that made was made like, three weeks ago. Its easily one of the most poorly built Mania's in my book... Triple H should have been competing on RAW and Taker should be playing mind games... and yet both were not on the go-home Raw. Rock and Cena should have been coming to blows weeks ago - Rock and Stone Cold together showed us that you can have a promo that ends physically, and still be able to be in the ring together and do a promo the following week... just expect payback. Jericho hasnt been on Raw in three weeks to build the WWE Championship match. that bullsh*t. On the go-home raw, you dont have CM Punk put SOMEONE ELSE in the anaconda vice after a vicious beatdown and yell "THIS IS YOU JERICHO!"..... THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN JERICHO IN THE VICE. Bryan/Sheamus? Meh. Kane and Orton have been fighting every week and while its not the story it could have been, they at least showed me why they want to actually fight and hurt each other on the biggest show of them all.

Sheamus and Bryan would be second and they are said to have the worst build up..though its one of the most Physical fued so far. Cm punk and Jericho actually had quite a physical match within a tag match where Jericho got a SMART PIN on "the best wrestler in the world" out smarting cm punk. Cm punk thought he was a smart in ring performer..Jericho showed his side of in ring performance perfection. Though before that they have been quite physical with the elimanation chamber big time. Cody Rhodes i did some research WIKI-pedia..and i found out that Cody Rhodes defended his title against 6 dif people. not including allllll the members in the battle royal he defended his title in. -Former champ Eziekel Jackson -Ted Dibiase -Sheamus -Battle royal -John Morrison -Booker T He hasnt defended his title since January 6th against Booker T. Although in HIS DEFENSE i would like to say that NOBODY has challenged him..untill the BIG SHOW. Cody Rhodes has competed in other matches to go for the WWE or WORLD title since defeating BOOKER T and not being challenged for the I.C. TITLE. The Royal Rumble where he lasted over 40 min and eliminated 6 men then gettign eliminated by big show....and then ELIMINATION CHAMBER he eliminated the BIG SHOW. That made them even for destroying he others world title dreams. Cody took it further when he helped JERICHO pull BIG SHOW out of the battle royal to see who would would face WWE Champion CM Punk. Ever since lil run in attacks on BIG SHOW [physical] and showing embarrassing moments putting down BIG SHOWS wrestleMANIA moments [mental] hhh and undertakers physical part was ALL at LAST YEARS wrestleMANIA 27. Thats it. ha The Rock and CENA..forget it..out of the whole year...i believe its been two rock bottoms..and an FU..or AA.

That's the way wrestling has gone unfortunately. I enjoyed Rumble and EC, but I tried to watch a raw, the first thing that happened was Cena came out to cut a length promo and I turned straight over. Why call it wrestling if they don't compete?
Also annoyed me at the Rumble when Miz cut a promo before the match, WTF?

The Rock and John Cena should do like as that last night at RAW before camera went off air.

Like someone above said, this is possibly the poorest booked Mania in a few years, sure the card is stacked, but damn, image the excitment they could have had if things were more physical and less promo.
Rock and Cena should have been battling since Chamber, they should have been brawling instead of just promoing. Taker/HHH is the same, I mean they so should have had some physicality, bring the Cell into things, bring Taker's mindgames into it.
They have strived for a 'big' feel Mania for years now, and they failed in the last few on the card, now this year they have a card that rivals those of 19 and 17, yet they are now the build for every match seems so meh. Such a lost opportunity.

I am completely fine with it. ALl too often they give the match away on tv before the PPVs, which makes me not care about the PPV. I don't want to see them fight each other in various matches and random tag team matches before their big match. I prefer the slow build, to where the crowd SHOULD erupt when they finally come to blows.
Now the build wasn't perfect. BUT, they did have a year of time to fill.
