As expected, it looks crap. That's what happens when you cast Colin Farrell and remake a movie without its original plot. Colin Farrell will always make shitty movies. For every...oh 5, 6 movies he'll make, there'll be one good one. In Bruges is a example. Hah. |

For every...oh 5, 6 movies he'll make, there'll be one good one. In Bruges is a example. Hah. Phone Booth, SWAT, Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, Daredevil, Horrible Bosses and Fright Night were all at least decent performances from Mr. Farrell, if not great ones. So, we'll agree to disagree on his ability to make quality work. That said, I'm interested in this movie. I like Farrell and I like sci-fi so I'll give it a chance. The original wasn't incredibly great so it's not a movie I mind them redoing. I look forward to the actual trailer. |

I am perfectly fine watching the original as it was awesome.
I mean, there's a chance this could be good. Not a good one, but a chance.
I am officially getting old now, because movies from my teenage years are being re-made now.

I like Farrell, not sure what all the hate is about for him or this movie. The cast is pretty great imo. Bill Nighy, Ethan Hawke, Biel and Beckinsale are both incredibly sexy imo, and then Bryan Cranston. I mean come on, this stands a pretty good chance of being entertaining if you ask me. We are talking about the remake to a solid 90's action/scifi flick that starred Arnold. It's not like they are remaking Raging Bull here. I enjoyed the original, I actually just re-watched it a few weeks ago, but it's hardly sacred to me and I am comfortable in saying I will go see this remake when it comes out. People get so bent out of shape over remakes. It's not that big of a deal imo. If it sucks you don't have to ever watch it again. They assembled a good cast and put together a twist on the story and I'm open to seeing this new interpretation of it, for better or worse. |

I am willing to say it will not be nearly as good as the original. I may rent it from Red Box but I'm not going to see this in theaters.
