The other night I was watching TV while having dinner. When I finished, I got up to clean up the kitchen and left the tv on to watch the news. I went into the kitchen, turned around to see the tv and there was a blank screen, with sound. I pick up the remote to change the channel and it won't do a thing. I try to turn the tv off and it shuts off. I turn it back on with the remote, but then there's no sound. I try to shut it off by the remote and now that doesnt work. So I walk over to the tv and press the power button and it won't work. While doing this I notice my "Vizio" power light is still on, and the screen is a "Lit" black its not "power off" black. I then un-plugged the tv and let it sit for a half an hr, and plugged it back in..still no luck. I checked online and I did some research on this and I think I found the problem and solution. Im hoping its just the main-board.
What do you think?

Well I got the back off with the help of my cousin. Looked at the main-board, and power board, and don't see a problem. That doesn't mean there isn't though. I plan on ordering a Main-board soon. Money's tight, but I will figure it out. Its cheaper than buying a new one though.

YEA!!!! I got my tv working! I ordered a new main-board off of Ebay (basically from www.vizparts.com , and with the help of my cousin, installed the new part. It works very well! I am so glad I don't have to watch tv in my bedroom all night anymore!
