this is a topic that made me and friends brains hurt but we found a solution to it post it here the topic was called "Games you like that others hate and vice versa" so what are yours mine are:
a game i like that others hate is Duke Nukem Forever now before you go off the seeping deepend and start flaming at me but hear me out Being a Duke Nukem Fanboy DNF was not that bad as everyone is making it out to be especially IGN they gave it a low score but Wicher 2 got a higher score than it ok whatever but it gets had worst gameplay and frustating hard diffulculty aside from that heres the thing: IT'S MEANT TO BE PLAYED ON A COMPUTER, NOT A CONSOLE. heres a video not mine but same things apply:
But for me a game that i hate that Everyone likes is Skyrim i don't get it i don't hate it for being a RPG cause i play alot of RPGs but it appeals to me but then when some Skyrim Fanboys make half-assed jokes regarding "the Arrow to the knee" joke makes me pissed off that it makes me not to play the game and i felt it was OVER-HYPED LIKE CRAZY

I've been having a little bit of fun with Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Not a very good game at all, either. It's just kinda fun. People have been pretty ruthless towards it, though.

I'm a big fan of WET and thought it was a really enjoyable play through. It's not an amazing game by any means, but it's a damn fun one. Eliza Dushku was perfect and Rubi is probably one of my favourite video game characters in history. It's a shame a sequel will likely never see the light of day.

I get very angry at the CoD games and I would never play them by myself, but they are lots of fun when just messing around with some friends. It doesn't take a lot to get into them like other games.
As for games that I dislike that others enjoy. I really don't care for the Metal Gear games, I am not saying they are bad games, but they just are not my cup of tea. I also don't care for the Dark Souls games.

I too liked Duke Nukem Forever. It was glitchy and incomplete but it was an incomplete game, it was just nice to play a full length version of what could have been.
I did not care for Skyrim too much, I just do not like medevil stuff too much, I tried to like it as I loved Fallout but I just couldnt get behind it at all. Also I hate Resident Evil 4. I felt that was the downfall of that series.

I felt that was the downfall of that series. I enjoyed RE4 and it was a good game, however, it was a good action game and I didn't get much of a RE vibe from it. I think if you go into any of the newer RE games (RE5, RE4, and most likely RE6) wanting it to return to it's roots, I think you will be disappointed.

People don't like Call of Duty? Since when? It's like the highest selling game ever?
Anyway, L.A. Noire.
I lot of people didn't like it because it wasn't as "open world" as it seemed and you couldn't pull a Grand Theft Auto and just run around killing everybody. I thought it was a great game.

I meant, the haters saying its only for people that rage and were mindless because we play shooting games.

Since i go to a school where people only like COD/Sports games on XBOX (only xbox, apparently PS3 is shit). So... any Nintendo game.

Final Fantasy X, It's probably my second favourite in the series, but I've heard a lot of negative feedback on it in recent years.

Splatterhouse remake that came out in 2010 is one of my favourite games this generation. I absolutely fell in love with the story. I never understood all the negative reviews its like most of the reviews I read of it the guy reviewing it played the first chapter and that was it. I cannot recommend this game enough for those of you who do not know its a 3rd person horror action game and its ing bad ass. Its really cheap to pick up so give it a go. Just do not read any reviews on it as they will no doubt put you off.

Yeah I'm not a fan of Halo or Gears of War, not the type of game I am into. Call of Duty isn't really something I play much either, I don't hate the game at all though just dislike the people online who act like complete idiots. I love the campaigns on them though. Wrestling games are probably one thing that people would hate on when I was in school, LOLZ U PLAY SMACKDOWNZ VS GAY. Yes! I thought it was such an awesome game. People just look at me and laugh when they hear the title and then don't even give it a chance. To each there own, although one of my friends hates any games where the player is female I.E Mirrors Edge. He's an ass.

As far as I could tell from people I knew, It's one of them things where everyone craps on it but still buying it and then playing the crapout of it. Reminds me of wrestling fans who watch just to complain. I dunno.

A lot of people can't stomach MGS2, but it received amazing critical acclaim for its time, and I still hold it as one of the best games I've ever played.
As far as games that actually got panned by critics, I found The Bouncer on PS2 to be pretty enjoyable. Could've (and should've) been WAY better - and I doubt it's aged well - but I really liked it at the time.

Games I hate that others like is easier, so I'm going to start with that. Call Of Duty, and I don't hate it per-say but to me it's an average game at best that a lot of people call the greatest ever and crap like that. The Metroid series. Most of the Legend Of Zelda series. Mass Effect to an extent, I loved the whole talking thing, but the action portions were just a boring. World of Warcraft, tried it, didn't get addicted, just bored.
As for the reverse of that, I liked Sonic Heroes and I believe a lot of people crapped on that. I'm not too sure. Xenosaga II, I'm not too far into it (playing it last, F chronological order!), but it has the battle system in the series. I also don't think the battle system is nearly as complicated as everyone said it was.
I'm positive their are a ton more for both sections but I'm done thinking about this now.

Agreed with Sonic Heroes. People actually really liked that game when it first came out. Then Shadow the Hedgehog came out and it became cool to hate on Sonic... The game's not bad, it's just that everyone expected it to be Turtles in Time and set themselves up for disapointment. I don't think the game is great, but it's certainly not bad.
