The color of the walls are just hideous...really though, THAT shade of green?
Seemed like a few sections of fans were dressed up as blue seats.

So here are my predictions: AL East: Yankees, Red Sox, Rays, Jays, Oreos Central: Tigers...........................Indians, Royals, Twins......White Sox West: Rangers, Angels, A's Mariners. Yankees, Tigers, Rangers with the Angels,Sox WC Non homer pick Rangers make it to the World Series The Red Sox are either going to win the division or finish 4th. Same with Bobby Valentine, hes either a savior or a clown. Red Sox had the best offense in baseball last year without anything from RF(statistically the least amount of production in baseball) nothing from Crawford, Youkilis hurt, Gonzalez hurt, Buccholz a ****. Red Sox win 1 more game last year, a lot of people are picking the Sox to win divisions etc, not miss the playoffs like they are doing. Every major team has holes, especially in the AL East (Rays can they hit? Will their pitching be as good as advertised? ) Yankees are health/age and now pitching issues. The division is WIDE open. Red Sox obviously need health and to catch lightening in a bottle with some of these retreads like Aceves, Padilla etc. NL East: Phillies, Braves, Nationals, Marlins......Mets Central: Cardinals, Reds, Brewers, Pirates, Cubs.......Astros West: Dodgers, DBacks, Giants, Rockies, Padres Phillies, Cardinals, Dodgers, Dbacks,Reds DBacks or Phillies in the World Series. The NL East is amazing. I can see the Nationals or even Marlins winning it. I do not think the Braves have the offense to do it, I can see them falling to 4th. They have ing prospects, trade them to get a hitter! That division is going to be the best to watch in baseball. Frankly, I hate all the teams in the NL Central, they all suck and will be fodder to the East West I think is the DBacks, but if the Dodgers start spending some $$, or Ethier comes back to normal they could be beastly. Rangers vs Dbacks Sox vs Phillies Tigers vs Phillies Just guesses. Awards: MVP: Adrian Gonzalez and Matt Kemp (Back ups would be Longoria and Upton) Cy Young: Verlander or Lester and Halladay or Lincecum (Back ups Kershash/Felix) ROY: Darvish and Mesorcao (Back ups Moore and Harper)

You can indeed stream games to your phone without the MLB.TV premium subscription. You need an MLB.TV subscription, but not the premium one.

Don't hate me, but I'm going to be requesting quite a bit of fantasy baseball advice from you guys this year. I always try to help people out in fantasy football, so you baseball geeks need to help ME now!
First things first is my team...
C - Yadier Molina 1B - Joey Votto 2B - Brandon Phillips 3B - Evan Longoria SS - Asdrubal Cabrera OF - Jacoby Ellsbury OF - Giancarlo "Mike" Stanton OF - Brett Gardner OF - Jason Werth UTIL - Eric Hosmer UTIL - Adam Lind BENCH - Logan Morrison BENCH - Cameron Maybin BENCH - Derek Jeter BENCH - Ryan Roberts BENCH - Coco Crisp BENCH - Mat Gamel
SP - Cole Hamels SP - Ian Kennedy SP - Madison Bumgarner SP - Matt Garza SP - Jordan Zimmerman SP - Chris Sale RP - Javy Guerra RP - Sergio Santos RP - Juaquin Benoit RP - Francisco Rodriguez RP - Mike Adams RP - Brett Myers
-------------------------------
At first glance, my relievers look TERRIBLE. I know that. But that's actually kind of by design... Because in this league, we don't have a sole "Saves" category. We combined the "Saves" and "Holds" categories into one -- "Saves + Holds." Meaning that getting a hold is every bit as valuable as a save.
We did this last year and my strategy of not drafting top relievers paid off. I was able to load up on offensive talent while everyone else was out there drafting guys like Brian Wilson. Then at the end, I pretty much had my choice of the best setup men. I finished second in the league in the category despite not taking a reliever until the 20th round.
For those wondering how I got the team I did on offense, I was able to keep Joey Votto in the 4th round, Mike Stanton in the 6th, Asdrubal Cabrera in the 19th and Eric Hosmer in the 29th.
.......... So what do ya think of the team? Any glaring weak spots that I need to address immediately?

Well, this game against the Phillies and Doc in particular should be a good showing as to how the Bucs are going to do this year.

Kliquid,
You actually have some solid solid set up guys (K-Rod, Benoit and Adams) and actual closers (Myers, Guerra, Santos)
Chris Sale I think is a starter this year (He wont hold up) but hes not a bad lottery ticket
You have a nice mix of saves and holds, obviously youd like a stud closer instead of 3 middle of the pack guys, but the set up guys are actually some of the better ones in baseball.
I like your team, ride it out and see what you need later

Thanks buddy. Yeah I took Sale because I've heard he has the potential to be really good. If he's terrible, I'll just drop him. No harm, no foul.

If Doc is on his game, no one does good against him no matter who they are. I wouldn't try to evaluate how good your season is going to be based on how well you do against Doc.

Well, it seems as if the Pirates have picked up exactly where they left off last year. The pitching is great, but no one can hit the ball to save their lives. I know it's opening day, and I know they're facing Doc...but seriously? Two hits in the first and then no one even seeing first base until McCutchen was drilled in a later inning? Pathetic. I mean, where's that power that Hurdle was saying was gonna be here from opening day on? I think he left it in Atlanta in July of 2011 where everyone else on the Pirates seems to have left it.

Ah overreacting after not even a full game of baseball.
This thread is going to be fun. I cant wait for Hulk to say the Phillies suck because they cant score after losing to Lincecum and Lorenzo to flip out when Josh Beckett shuts them down in April.

Bedard pitched very well. Part of that could be a product of the Phils somewhat anemic lineup, but it was a good outing nonetheless. I'll take a good outing regardless of the reasons. The Pirates 'pen looks like they're going to blow it though.
