My question is, they released all of these figures staggered. And people bought more of the HHH, D Bry and Bret and yet Cena is warming pegs. So with people buying more of those other 3, wouldn't certain people not be able to build cole?

If matty does a legends line for 2013 maybe they could incorporate this into that line. a 80s announcer Vince mcmahon in his powder blue suit or bobby the brain heenan or jimmy hart or mean gene okerlund would be kinda neat.

They want each wrestler to be released in waves so that customers keep going back to the store. I still haven't found Bret in stores yet but I have been able to get some through classifieds.

I was a bit PO'd that they weren't released over here - but the Triple H and Bret figures are great. And if it's the only way Mattel can release guys like Michael Cole and other announcers/non-wrestlers, then I'm all for it!

I like the idea of it even know I have to drive 3 hours to the nearest TRU. I just wish they would do one for Kmart as well since WWE and them have a good thing going. Plus it would be nice to have more than one hunt going on at a time.

Yeah, still haven't found Bret but I think the concept is great, and seems to work pretty well. I think more evenly spaced cases would help. I know they want you to keep going back to TRU, but if they want me to buy all four in the future I have to be able to find all 4 or I won't do it.

No. They claim they can't release a cole any other way, then release 4 figures collectors very vaguely want with the parts then make one of those a bret hart hardly anyone would on top of 2 repaints and a rerelease. ON TOP OF THAT, release them only in the states and make Bret harder to find by packing less in.
It's diabolical.
Any collector praising it is crazy. And those that bought them send Mattel the message, a wrong one, you'll buy anything. I'm not pay 60-100 Gbp for a Michael cole.
In all likelihood they will release more Coles, the guy has saturated tv and ppv for two years. How they feel it just to release a shango and that bret over a normal cole is beyond me.

I say no because they should have been available to all stores such as Walmart, Kmart etc. The nearest TRU is 30 miles from my house and I don't get up there often to look.

I thought the Elite line was a great set (even with Cena in it) Basics with the exception of Christian I liked the build a set more than the figures in the lineup.

I like the figures, not the $21 price point, and uneven distribution.
I think it would be better next time if tru.com had all 4 available for more than 2 hours before they take the listings down. TRUs aren't as convenient to visit or as adult-friendly as a Walmart/Kmart/Target.

I voted no because its frigging impossible to find Bryan or Bret in my area. All we have is Cena and HHH

...I can't believe some collectors are voting "no" just because they can't find some (or all) of the figures - surely a Michael Cole figure (no matter how hard he is to get or complete) is better than no figure at all...

I will say the availability of these thing are ridiculous. I go to my TRU everyday, and I still haven't found Bret. I'll second that TRU.com is a waste of time.
I still like the idea but horrible to have a legless Cole. I remember Marvel Legends were next to near impossible to find, but then they started to do the BAF concept (they were the first I believe) and they were much more easier to find after that. Mattel does a reverse and makes these harder. I don't get it.

I think its good BUT just like many of you feel that the distribution is horrible.
There should be no need for certain figures to be "scarce" or "rare" in this day and age of distribution.
And like others, I'm not willing to pay double just to own the figure. It should be readily available to consumers.
