From the beginning, Shane Douglas and everyone else associated with Extreme Reunion has said the 4/28 event in Philadelphia, PA would not just be a one shot deal. Well, the new promotion has already announced a 6/30 return to the National Guard Armory in Philly. In an interview earlier this week in the Elite section of PWInsider.com, Cody Michaels, who is booking the event with Shane Douglas, noted that they have actually mapped out plans for events through November of this year and that over the course of time, the Reunion name will be replaced by an official promotion name. The plan is to still intermingle newer names with ECW alumni to create something of a new generation. There are also plans to bring in some international names. The promotion was hoping to have two Lucha performers and a Japanese star in for the 4/28 event as a surprise but the paperwork needed wasn't completed in time. There are also already plans in place to add additional markets outside of Philly as well. An Extreme Reunion t-shirt has been released. There will be a bus trip to the debut event next Saturday 4/28 from New York City and New Jersey for $133, covering the cost of the tickets to the show, the pre-show Fanfest, a private Q&A Session, a chance to get in the ring for a photo, and first choice at general admission seating. For details, email WrestlingBusTrips@gmail.com. For more details on the debut Extreme Reunion event, visit www.extremereunion.net.

I thought it sounded kinda decent The idea of new guys sounds promising and I got to attend an ECW reunion show a few years ago and had a blast despite the fact that none of the matches were that great (although Al Snow and Jerry Lynn had a fantastic match). These guys are wrestlers, most of whom probably can't do much else, if they want to put on an occasional show to make some money then let em do it.

^ As am I. People are going to sh*t on these reunion shows no matter what. But some still want to see it and as long as there's a "want", why not? Of course Douglas has tried this sort of thing before and they never panned out for very long, so hopefully this will turn into something good. Sounds like a pretty good card:
“The Night the Line Was ERASED”
“THE FRANCHISE” SHANE DOUGLAS vs. “THE HOMICIDAL, SUICIDAL, GENOCIDAL, DEATH-DEFYING MANIAC” SABU
“Champions Collide”
JERRY LYNN vs. JUSTIN CREDIBLE
“Wrestling Purists Dream Match”
AL SNOW W/HEAD vs. CW ANDERSON
“The Final Battle”
“The FBI aka Full Blooded Italians” LITTLE GUIDO, TONY MAMALUKE, TRACY SMOTHERS vs. “The B.W.O. aka The Blue World Order” STEVIE RICHARDS, BLUE MEANIE, and a Surprise
“Philly Brawl”
RAVEN vs. PITBULL GARY WOLF
“Chairs, Chairs, and More Chairs”
BALLS MAHONEY vs. AXL ROTTEN
Plus there are a few unannounced matches that will take place with veterans of “Extreme”, as well as new talent booked for the show.
JUST ADDED!!! 2 COLD SCORPIO!!! Additional confirmed talent for Extreme Reunion include: THE SANDMAN, THE ORIGINAL GANGSTAS NEW JACK & MUSTAFA, DANNY DORING, JOEL GERTNER, BOB ORTIZ, STEPHEN DEANGELIS, JOHN FINNEGAN, MIKE KEHNER, RONNIE LANG & ATLAS SECURITY, and we have some great surprises booked also. ***card subject to change***

Wish they'd announce some of the "new" talent that they are bringing in. It would really help my get interested in this show if they announced some great indy talent.

I believe the initial shows are supposed to be just the reunion talent. Then after so many, they start to add the new talent into it, and eventually it becomes a new promotion.

The Al Snow vs. CW Anderson match really has me interested in this show. I think that match could be really great.

So from the report I read, this show was a total mess. Sabu and Credible both weren't able to perform due to what is likely drug related reasons and a lot of people are saying the show sucked ass

Apparently the only saving grace of the whole show was Jerry Lynn vs. Devon Storm. However im extremely excited to see what happens with BLK Jeez and Ruckus fueding with The Gangstas, that is if this thing actually has a follow up which by the reviews and what ive heard from people who saw the show i wouldnt be suprised one bit if the whole thing is scrapped and never heard about again (untill the people that just cant let go decide that another reuinion show to pad their pockets is a good idea).

I haven't been on these forms in quite some time. But I decided to come back on to see what people were saying about this event. And since no one has said it, I wanted to log back on and say this was the WORST wrestling event I've ever been to. I've never been disappointed in a wrestling event before or felt like I wasted money by buying a ticket till tonight. Shane Douglas, how he could book a show that awful is beyond me. Yes Sabu and Credible couldn't be there, I get it. But that's no excuse for the rest of the card and the complete lack of anything entertaining. Just let ECW fade away now and stop trying to milk it. You had a 2,000+ standing room only venue full of nothing but disappointed fans. Terrible. Let me say it once more.. Shane Douglas and anyone that had anything to do with the booking of this crap show.

It is disappointing that 2,000 plus fans would pay money to see an ECW reunion show in 2012. Just let it go people.

It is disappointing that 2,000 plus fans would pay money to see an ECW reunion show in 2012. Just let it go people. I thought the exact same thing, especially after that brutal Hardcore Justice ppv two years ago in TNA. I find it funny that in 1994 Shane Douglas was saying, "Ric Flair, you're old, you don't know when to get out of the business and retire." Well, shouldn't Shane Douglas be taking his own words of advice now?? He is like 45 years old, if not older. And he is trying to bring back a style that has been dead since 2001. Sure, 2005 we had that one night revival of it by WWE, and even those Hardcore Homecoming shows that Shane put on were pretty neat. But it's over!! All these ex ECW guys are old, fat and drunks or drug addicts. It was pathetic from the get go. "Oh watch out Dixie and Vince," Shane Douglas. What out for what?? That time you were on Raw trying to get a pop in the crowd and nobody knew who you were?? Getting some mark to chant "ECW ECW" while holding the camera as he tapes you is not really breaking down the door. I hope that an ECW reunion show never happens again. It's dead!
