Spike tombstone piledriver on the floor and it's not the finish. I'm not even sure why I'm surprised by that. Also, why do people do thumbtack spots in the year 2014? Then again, people do ECW reunion angles on major television shows in the year 2014. Nevermind.
Edit: Goddamn they gave Roddy two minutes to cut a promo. I don't get it.

Seriously if you guys are complaining about Guerrilla Warfares being so brutal that they don't belong in PWG then I think you started complaining too late. Ever since Steen vs Super Dragon from 05 they have been ridiculously brutal. And it's just because Candice was in it and bled then I'm afraid I've got some bad news. It's not the first time she has bled in a match in PWG. If you guys hate this stuff then I'm sure you guys didn't watch her get slapped around by Human Tornado because I thought that was more cringe worthy then this.
Don't like it, don't watch it.

Steen/Dragon was fine. Every Guerrilla Warfare match prior to the Steen/Cole one was fine by me. Drake/Sami sucked and reeked of stupid CZW bullsh-t, that's what I'm more upset about. Edit: Actually, you know what? I don't even care that she bled in retrospect. The stupidity of a woman coming back from a SPIKE TOMBSTONE ON THE FLOOR is way worse. Steamboat eats a DDT on the floor and gets carried out. Foley eats a spike tombstone and they sell it like he's dead. A girl takes a springboard spike tombstone piledriver on the floor and wins the match for her team. that. Also, "don't like it, don't watch it"? Well, I don't like it and I'm not going to watch it but that doesn't change the fact that I'm well within my reach to complain about something like this.

Just stop watching the guerilla warfares then. I still don't see what the big deal is with Tacks. Theyve been in almost every GW since Steen/Dragon.
Hell you might as well stop watching the youngbucks because they're glorified spot monkeys and that isn't going to change. They are still the best tag team in the world.

I'm just shocked that people still do tack spots in 2014, not that they're in a GW match. Hell you might as well stop watching the youngbucks because they're glorified spot monkeys and that isn't going to change. They're not even glorified spot monkeys. They are just flat out spot monkeys. They are still the best tag team in the world. That's highly, highly, highly debatable but it all comes down to preference. I don't mind the Bucks when they're kept under 15 minutes like they were with reDRagon at War of the Worlds or Time Splitters at Dominion (though I don't love that match as much as other people). Any more than that and it just gets ridiculous with them. There are a number of tag teams I'd place over them if we were talking best tag team in the world but again, that comes down to preference. What you like isn't what I like and that's fine. It doesn't change the fact that I think a spike tombstone on the floor not being the finish is the dumbest sh-t in the world and I'm never going to take anyone who tries to argue that it's not seriously.

Its PWG. You can look at any match on any card and say there was a spot(s) that was not needed and should have been a finish. That's how the company works and has been working for years. Young Bucks are the best tag team in the world. They eat, sleep and breath tag team wrestling. The only other team I can think of right now that does the same is the Uso's. Every other team is just two singles guys together. Edit:Who cares about the thumbtacks? Tack bumps didn't bother me when in was 4 watching Taker and Foley in the cell and they don't bother me when PWG uses them for one or two spots a years. Its tame compared to things guys do to themselves in front of 40 people in bumble Indiana.

Honestly, when it comes down to match quality, few beat The Young Bucks. Over the last 5 years they have put on so many amazing matches in both PWG, ROH and now in New Japan. Even their TNA matches were very good. I know some may not like them, but I find them very entertaining, great athletes, and when i met them, great people.

There are very few bad matches put on by the Bucks. Harder to argue against them being the best tag team in the world then it is to say they are.

Its tame compared to things guys do to themselves in front of 40 people in bumble Indiana. re: PWG being spotfests - they weren't near as bad with it until a couple of years ago but it's a true enough point. There've always been dudes doing that stuff on their shows but nothing ANYWHERE near as stupid as a spike tombstone on the floor. We're going to have to agree to disagree on the Bucks being the best team in the world. A good chunk of the best tag matches I've seen this year didn't even involve those two. And again, re: tack bumps: I'm shocked THAT PEOPLE STILL DO THEM NOW. They don't bother me in the sense that I find them hard to watch. I watch Taker/Foley HIAC multiple times a year and have since that match happened when I was in kindergarten. It just baffles me that those spots still get a reaction and that guys do them now, which is what I've pretty much said a number of times at this point.

Even their TNA matches were very good. I know some may not like them, but I find them very entertaining, great athletes, and when i met them, great people. As I said before, this all comes down to preference. I don't think they're as consistent when it comes to great matches but they're not what I want to see. Frankly, most of their New Japan run has been unbearable to me but I did like the Time Splitters match from Dominion but not as much as most other people did. I'm really not a fan of spot wrestling on most days. It's why I don't watch much Dragon Gate. My thoughts exactly. There are very few bad matches put on by the Bucks. Harder to argue against them being the best tag team in the world then it is to say they are. Actually, it's really not. It all comes down to what you want to see. To me, the American Wolves are better than the Bucks. So are reDRagon. So are Goto and Shibata. So are Bad Influence. You want to know the wonderful thing? It's okay to not agree with me, because people can have different opinions on stuff. The key is to not present your opinion as fact in something as subjective as pro wrestling. What you think is the best clearly isn't what I think is the best, just like I'm not a fan of the Bullet Club but you are and we're never going to agree on if the Bullet Club are actually a good thing or not because we want to see different things. I'm not going to tell you that they're the worst ing thing to happen in New Japan in YEARS and that you can't argue that they're not because I'd expect to not have "BUCKS ARE THE BEST YOU CAN'T ARGUE OR THINK OTHERWISE~!" shoved down my throat when I don't feel that way and I'm not going to because I don't think they are. Guess I expected too much. My favourite tag team matches all involved them: reDRagon vs. Bucks, Splitters vs. Bucks, Bucks vs. Splitters vs. Hooligans. I liked RD/Bucks from WOTW but that is, again, the Bucks in a contained setting. When they're in a match that's around 15 or so minutes and they don't have time to get into doing really stupid stuff, I can have fun watching them. My favorite tag match this year was Nakamura/Ishii vs. Tanahashi/Naito from the New Japan Anniversary Show, followed by Nakamura/Okada/Ishii vs. Tanahashi/Goto/Naito from 2/22 at Korakuen, though some people would argue that's not 'really' a tag match since it's a six man tag. Goto/Shibata vs. Nagata/Honma ruled, too. So did Tanahashi/Makabe vs. Goto/Shibata, and Tanahashi/Naito vs. Goto/Shibata. Wolves vs. Junior Stars from the July 6th Wrestle-1 show was great, too. But once again, it's all subjective. That's what makes wrestling fun. Opinions and sh-t, just not when people try to act like their opinion is fact.

I didn't intend to come across that way so if I did that's my mistake. I will agree with you that the Wolves are better then The Young Bucks. But Davey and Eddie have been saddled with TNA stink and not getting to showcase their skills like they were on the indies. I'd say that The Briscoe Brothers are the best tag team in the world too but staying so loyal to ROH is hurting their careers the last two years. Its almost as if they've given up recently. Its a shame too because because they are the most money team in professional wrestling IMO.

I think once they got on SBG and they turned into like...the redneck version of the Bushwhackers, their in ring work went off a cliff but I still love those dudes.

Cole/Strong and Alexander/ACH look like really good matches. I don't like seeing blood in wrestling, sometimes you can't help it but I'm not a fan of it. I can't wait for the BOLA DVD to go up on pre-order.

So pumped to get Eleven after watching that preview...hell, I am with every PWG release pretty much... You can say that again. Has any company ever had a hot streak of shows this long before? I literally cannot think of the last time they had a bad show. I realise its pretty hard to have a bad show with their format but god damn.

Decided to watch BOLA 2013.
Ciampa/Cage is so uncomfortable to watch. That botch was so god damn brutal and Cage is a literal machine for being able to keep going. I don't put a lot of the blame on Ciampa. He got him up fine the first time when Cage slipped off and the second time was just off completely.
At least you could tell Ciampa felt horrible about it. Ciampa can be sloppy but there are plently of guys that are sloppy and could care less if someone gets hurt. But that was a scary situation indeed. Was that blood in Cages hair or dye? I couldn't tell.
On another note Taylor/Steen was so damn entertaining. It wasn't the most technically sound match but it got its job done and it was hilarious. I'll be editing this post with my comments on each match as I go. I haven't seen this show before.
