Distribution. Everyone has been vocal about this issue and their frustrations with it for a few weeks now, including myself and my struggle to find RRH, but that series and BOPPV Mark Henry aside, I have been fortunate enough to find most of the sought-after pieces that have been released.
I eventually caved and managed to grab RRH HBK, Bret and Goldust together from ebay for retail... a huge win for me. Shortly after my wife lucked up and found a Brodus the other day; another victory after striking out for a month or two. Today however, I decided to work smarter, not harder, and called my local Walmart before driving there. I gave the customer service associate the UPC from the back of the RRH HBK and of course, it came up in their system under the generic "WWE BASIC ASSORTMENT" tag that covers all basic series. The plus? 18 on the floor and, get this... 62 in the back. SIXTY TWO!!
So again, of course, I headed straight there with the intention of dropping some cash and making some decent grabs. It took nearly two hours to get somebody to check the back for me, believe it or not, as the 18 basics on the pegs were all series 9 and 11. After the sales associate FINALLY came out, empty handed, he informed me that ALL SIXTY TWO BASICS WERE SERIES 9 AND 11!!!!!! NO ELITES. NO BATTLE PACKS. He even said that he opened all 5 & 1/2 cases and 90% of them were SKIP SHEFFIELD!! What. The. Hell??!!
This rule doesn't apply exclusively to Walmart either. Over the last month, I've hit 3 Kmarts, 3 TRUs, 4 Targets and close to 10 Walmart stores... none have stocked a complete case of the new Battle Packs, just those cases of 6 Cena/Rock sets. I'm having better luck finding Marvel Legends Reborn!

I feel your pain, but this is one of the greatest things I've ever heard. He even said that he opened all 5 & 1/2 cases and 90% of them were SKIP SHEFFIELD!!

LJN in the 80's the stores were littered with Hulk Hogan. Nothing has changed.

Mattel doesn't care. If they did, they would sell equal amounts of each series to TRU, Target, Walnart but instead, it seems like different stores are buying up the whole series.
For example, I've only seen E12 at Target, RRH at Kmart and Battle Packs 15 at Walmart.

THere's never been a better time to order from RSC. People say they're over priced or whatever, but when you add up the time, gas money, gas mileage, wear & tear to your car, etc, you're spending more then you would've spent if you just purchased from RSC to begin with. Not to mention you'll be getting it 4-8 weeks before your local retailer.

Walmart pulls stock from the floor and boxes it back up to store in their back room pretty regularly. If they decrease the number of pegs alotted to a particular line or have leftover product from an end cap they don't have room for the pegs, they'll box it up and throw it in the back until space opens up. I saw employees at two Walmarts do that last week with Summerslam Heritage figures to make room for Signature Series figures.

Every morning I'm checking MattelShop hoping they added something new.

Not to mention you'll be getting it 4-8 weeks before your local retailer. If you order entire sets, then yes, you are spot on. If you just order 1 or 2 figures, then you are spending like $60ish for two figures in an Elite series. I do it, I just spent that on Sin Cara and Yokozuna, and spent $40 on the Mark Henry and Barreta pack, but not everyone can justify that or afford to spend the money, especially not if you collect the majority of figures. I've completely switched to buying from RSC though, so I'm with you personally. It's worth the extra money to me to not have to go looking for stuff. However, I can see how those prices can be extreme to people, especially on stuff like the Bellas. It's all a matter of totaling up how much you are investing. I think it's interesting that you bring up the depreciation on your car because that isn't something a lot of people think about that is very valid imo. If you have major retailers close to you, then it may not be as big a financial burden to drive around and hunt. For me personally, my time is money, so I go to Ringside. It has also made me be more selective about what I buy, which has been a very good thing for me personally.

For example, I've only seen E12 at Target, RRH at Kmart and Battle Packs 15 at Walmart. That has nothing to do with what they sell the stores. I'm sure everything you are looking for has shipped to all major retailers and are sitting in their distribution centers waiting to move the older stock first. The old first in first out rule. That's why some Targets are putting out RRH now. If you are going to blame anyone blame the retailers distribution centers as they are who is shipping cases to the stores. Hell my local WalMarts don't carry Elites (And just stated carrying Basics again) Nor do they carry any of the DC Lines (DCUC/Batman Legacy/YJ/Batman B&tB) and when I ask the dept managers why they don't even have pegs for them on their polygrams yet other area WalMarts do carry them they reply with "what they stock is up to corporate." How is it not all WalMarts carry the same products? it makes no sense

Once again, for all those leftover figures that DON'T sell in U.S. stores should be sent to Canada, we barely have anything and whenever we get anything new it flies off the shelves....
