Despite all the injuries (and I know, it was BAD), I still am amazed how people aren't talking about this card more. It's a great card still, I think.

I think Lombard KO'S Boetsch at the end the first.
and I think Barao wins anyway he wants...

Barao is going to give Faber problems with his speed.

Man im really hoping Faber can pull this one out. I've loved Faber ever since the first time I saw MMA watching the WEC on versus like 4 years ago. The dude was unstoppable back then but after the first Mike Brown fight it just seems like he lost something. His fights are still entertaining as hell but he needs to get back to being the beast he was before the Brown fight.

I think Faber is a really good fighter but I just feel he is another Sonnen, Koscheck, or Franklin....
good fighters who will always beat 90% of the division, but will never be champs...

Faber was the champ for quite awhile at 145.

Oh I know...I am just saying unless Aldo and Cruz somehow die together in a Plane crash, Faber will never see Gold again...

When the division had it's top stars like David Loiseau and Nate Quarry? yeah!

To be fair the MW division has always been pretty damn weak. Even a good chunk of Silva's defenses aren't really noteworthy.
Oh and lol at UFC trying to pass off Barão's streak as "the longest winning streak in MMA history". lmfao

Hector Lombard currently has the longest winning streak. The longest unbeaten streak in MMA history I think was Igor Vovchanchyn.

Well let's see how Lombard does in the UFC, not getting behind the hype, everytime the internet MMA fans rave about someone, they come in to the UFC and get killed...
He's got a platform to show me what he's all about, look foreward to it. =]

Hector Lombard currently has the longest winning streak. Wait, isn't Barao's longer than Lombard's?

Dana White teasing the idea of a MW tournament make me extremely happy..
Lombard Vitor Stann Bisping Weidman Boetsch Belcher
plus the possibility of Evans dropping down...and maybe even throw Ace in the mix for fun...
MW is looking pretty interesting right now...

Hector Lombard currently has the longest winning streak. Wait, isn't Barao's longer than Lombard's? Well with the NC thrown in, Barao has won 18 straight. Meanwhile, Lombard has won 20 straight since he had that one draw.

Last I heard Evans rejected the idea of a drop (unless he's since changed his mind) and I'd put Chael in before I'd put in Franklin or even half of the other guys mentioned.

well I figured
Boetsch/Lombard winner vs. Vitor Stann/Bisping winner vs. Belcher or Weidman
I would put four fights for the tournament but I doubt Dana would stretch it out that much....if he did though I would put
Lombard vs. Vitor Bisping vs. Weidman Belcher vs. Franklin Evans vs. Munoz
I know Munoz is coming off a loss and Ace is rumored to be fighting Cung Le in China, but this is strictly hypothetical on my part...I know this will never happen...but a guy can dream..

^ I love the idea of some sort of MW tourney... trouble is though, who do you put in with Anderson while all those fights are taking place? (it would take up quite a bit of time with quarter-finals, semi's, and final). And you have to include Chael somewhere in there... whenever I try to work something out, I always end up with an odd-man out, lol.
If Lombard wins at the weekend - and looks good - I can see the UFC going straight to Silva Vs Lombard... with his win-streak (and him calling Silva out), it's an easy fight to hype/sell. And there's not really any one clear-cut challenger...
