After posting in the Terry Funk discussion, it made me thing about starting this thread, to post and discuss favorite promos, shoots from over the years. To start it off, I would have to go with the speech that made me start the thread, Paul Heyman's "Welcome to the Dance" speech before Barely Legal 97, from Beyond the Mat. Just an example of how Heyman would rally the troops, and really light a fire under their asses.

CM Punk's shoot promo definitely. It helps that I wasn't even planning on watching Raw, since I haven't, in full, in months. I got up early, remember Punk was the number one contender so I decided, what the hell, I'll give it a watch. And since that promo, I've been more into wrestling than ever before (Hey, I've only been watching since 2006).

Jericho's promo and The Rock's follow up when Y2J debuted in 1999.
The Rock's with The Hurricane were pretty funny too.

Paul Heyman's worked shoot at Vince McMahon on the eve of Survivor's 2001 (Hogan's blood, Bret's Dream, HBK's smile)
Paul Heyman's shoot at the WWE Crusaders at ECW One Night Stand

The two that instantly come to mind for me have already been posted and that's the Austin promo from ECW and the Austin promo from KOTR. Those 2 really definined what he would become. I've seen that ECW promo 10 or 12 times and it honestly gives me chills every time I watch it. He had not boundaries, no script, nothing. Just him speaking his mind to the camera in what I think was a basement, wasn't it? And then the KOTR thing was a good one too just because he went away from the norm and I don't believe there was much cussing, if any, in wrestling at the time and he just piggybacked off of Jake Robert's promos and brought out the Austin 3:16 and it skyrocketed him into one of the biggest starts of all time. Again, it was just him going off the top and coming up with a very clever and amazing promo. He's definitely one of the top 2 or 3 mic guys of all time without a doubt.
I'll add in another one that has been mentioned and that is CM Punk's promo from this past summer, mainly because it pretty much got me 100% more interested in wrestling. It's just a shame that HHH came in and pretty much killed all the momentum Punk had but that's a different story for a different day.

Any of Punks promos from the Summer of Punk in ROH or hell even the summer of punk II from last year. Seriously anyone that hasnt seen them should check out the video "CM Punk Goes Crazy Epic Shoots & Promos" Its a funny watch and it shows then when handed the ball Punk runs with it and doesnt stop.
Another favorite is Hogans promo after the NWO was formed at Bash of the Beach 96.

Dunno how "classic" it is but I was always a fan of this little promo from Raven, when he was locked in a room, to set up Monsters Ball, in TNA.

Besides Raven's ECW stuff I would like to add Punk's FWA promo on Raven in England:
First Punk promo I ever saw and realized he had something special. It pretty much shows all the fire he later used during his Raw "shoot".

I'll forever view this promo as one of the most well done build ups in all of wrestling.
Jimmy Jacobs started out as a happy-go-lucky pretty boy, then he met Lacey. He fell head over heels, and would sacrifice himself to just get her to acknowledge him. After over a year of pursuing Lacey, she finally gave into Jacobs' advances.... and he still wasn't happy, and it drove him insane.
