What's the point. The majority of TPB users will already know how to bypass this.

Wonder if it makes a difference that I use an American IP address or not.. Probably, as the IP doesn't provide your Internet service. Not really sure how the Internet works at that deep of a level, though. Then again, can't China and all the oppressive countries access outside/blocked sites through VPN? Hmm, could be possible! A VPN would do the trick.. doubt a proxy would though, for the reasons you said.

Is it possible for an American (or someone who still has access to TPB) to download something you want, and send it to you?

Damn, I'm just in the middle of switching to TalkTalk too. It worked fine on PlusNet when I last checked.

D'ohhh!! Just went on today and... I wouldn't mind so much but it's done by the BPI... I hardly ever download music - it's mainly US talk shows and TV that isn't shown over here...

This is a gigantic waste of time and money. There are so many mirror sites and circumvention methods being publicised out there.
I wonder how much better off the world would be if people stopped spending millions of dollars to police the internet and stop some horny teenager from downloading Rage Against the Machine for free.
