Kind of disappointing to be there LIVE at the PPV and be excited to see what you guys thought of it when I got home, and everyone is talking about Layla. lol. :/ How did the Raleigh crowd come off on tv during the Punk/Bryan match? Amazing honestly. I was quite surprised tbh. Lots of Daniel Bryan/CM Punk, YES! chants all throughout the match. You guys did good. I was going apesh*t during that match. Rooting for Daniel Bryan. Can't wait for the DVD to come out. Will probably be able to see myself marking out. lol. Great match.

IMO the crowd was pretty great all night. It was wonderful to hear a loud, involved crowd that wasn't full of smartasses tbh. I heard a lot of 'Daniel Bryan' vs. 'CM Punk' chants, and plenty of 'No!'s when CM Punk was throwing punches at Bryan, too. As I said, you lot sounded into almost everything, or at least tried to be, which I thought made a nice change. An appreciative crowd, if you will. On the subject of MOTN, I honestly enjoyed the F4W more, as good as the Bryan/ CM Punk match was. The near falls and the chaos near the end of F4W means it just edges it for me, especially with Sheamus almost replicating his win from last Friday's Smackdown, and I was almost certain Jericho was gonna take the win too.

Great show with a great crowd, It was free for us in the UK but it was worth paying for. The WHC, Punk vs Bryan, Tag match and Rhodes/Christian made this a good PPV. The main event was OK with some good comedy spots but the predictable ending killed it. Ryback squashing Comacho was OK and Brodus Clay beating Miz again was meh, The BR was entertaining and the Diva match was OK. Overall a great show with a 8 or 9 out of 10.

Since the conversation has (sort of) turned back toward discussing the actual show, I'll repost my thoughts from last night...
A pretty great show that took a turn for the worse at the end, unfortunately.
Battle Royal was entertaining, and a great way to kick off the show. Sort of weird the way that they opened things up. Not sure I like that, but I suppose it worked in this scenario.
Tag Team Championship Match was very solid. All four of these guys deserve more credit than they're getting. Hopefully this spells the end of Ziggler/Swagger as a team, though, because it's really time for Ziggler to start working his way up the ladder.
Diva's Championship was great given the current standards of the women's division. Both Layla and Beth know how to work a match, and they carried out a very entertaining contest. Still doesn't change the fact that absolutely no one cares about anything going on with the divas until Kharma is back, as evidenced by the chants tonight.
World Heavyweight Championship Match was absolutely fantastic. Wish it had been given a little more time, but these guys really delivered. The false finishes at the end were especially great. Not too keen on Sheamus retaining, I think it's been proven at this point that his title reign is dead in the water. I thought tonight was the night to back to drawing board with him and try something different while giving someone else a shot at it. Also didn't like Jericho taking the fall yet again. This officially renders his return absolutely useless, as there's little else he'll be able to do from here on out.
Terribly disappointing that The Miz was fed to Brodus Clay again. This is one of the biggest things wrong with WWE right now. Clay is already wearing out his welcome, as evidenced by the fact that the crowd simply could care less. They enjoy his entrance, but beyond that, he has no staying power. Tonight could have been a really huge moment with The Miz being the first guy to beat him, and it should have happened. It's upsetting that this is how a former WWE Champion (who had a pretty impressive reign) and major spokesperson for the company is being treated.
Intercontinental Championship match was decent enough. Strange that the Christian face turn sort of just happened instantaneously. Truth be told, I'd have rather they gotten the title off of Santino, but hopefully this means bigger things are on the horizon for Cody Rhodes. He deserves it. Nonetheless, great to see Christian back, even if it was sort of in an underwhelming way.
WWE Championship match was absolutely fantastic. I was worried the crowd wasn't going to be into it at first, given the slow, methodical pace, but they ended up eating it up. Bryan and Punk truly know how to tell a fantastic story using in-ring psychology and flat out incredible athleticism and talent. Finish caught me a little off guard, but I can only hope this means we'll see an even better, even more hyped rematch next month. Incredible match.
I didn't even bother watching the Ryback match. It drives me crazy that these squash matches are finding their way onto Pay-Per-View. It makes no sense, its pointless, and it's a waste of people's time and money. Save that garbage for Smackdown, or better yet, stop protecting these guys and put them in real matches.
Cena/Laurinaitis was pretty much a train wreck. I admit, there were moments that got a chuckle out of me, and at times, I genuinely enjoyed seeing Johnny get beat down, but then I kept reminding myself that this was main eventing a Pay-Per-View. There's no reason for it. This should have been on Raw, or it should have been on the undercard, plain and simple.
Big Show's turn was anticlimactic and utterly stupid. Of course I knew it was coming, but that doesn't change anything. After being humiliated by Laurinaitis, why would he join forces with him? To get his job back? You mean to tell me if Cena won, and Laurinaitis was "fired", they wouldn't have reinstated Big Show? Give me a break. No logic whatsoever.
I have no issue with Johnny winning (though I despise the character and truly wish he'd go away), but the interferences should have come from someone not on the roster that had genuine interest in helping Johnnny win. If they couldn't line that up, then find another way to make it work, but Big Show's turn was a cop out.
I have absolutely no interest in a Cena/Show rivalry, and I certainly detest the idea of Laurinaitis continuing to be the star of the show.
Some really, really great things came out of tonight, but some equally careless and stupid mistakes played out as well. Wrestling wise, the show was mostly top notch. From an angle standpoint, I can't say that I was impressed.

My thoughs on the pay-per-view:
The Battle Royal surprised me, didn't expect the first thing I see is going straight into a match. Christian winning gets a thumbs up from me, as I am a Christian fan, but I was confused to the sudden face turn. I mean, not too long ago he was campaigning for "one more match" at the World Heavyweight Championship and was on John Lauriniatis' side.
Loved the Tag Team title match, all four guys are great in the ring. I wouldn't of minded if Ziggler and Swagger won the titles, but I knew Truth and Kingston would retain, as Epico and Primo still have a rematch they haven't used as A.W. is sorting it out for them, and it wouldn't make sense if it was Heel vs Heel.
Didn't pay much attention to the Divas title match, and didn't really care who won. This division is in desperate need of revamping. When Beth and Natalya formed an alliance, things were looking great, but that came to a sudden stop earlier in the year and Natalya just began competing by herself again (unless I missed something in that storyline).
World Heavyweight Championship was great. Every guy got decent in ring action, as most of the time two men would be taken out of the match and the focus would be on the two main guys, but everyone got shared time against each other and at one point I though Sheamus was going to drop the title.
Miz vs Brodus Clay, can't say much apart from "same old crap". I like that Miz is helping Clay get into a feud, but I would like if Miz somehow got the upper hand for once, Clay being undefeated doesn't mean jack to me.
Like I said earlier, weird how Christian just suddenly turned face, but I enjoyed the match. Don't like the fact that Cody lost the belt so quick after winning it back, he should of lost to DQ so Christian could have a rematch at the next pay-per-view.
All I can say is, I don't think Punk vs Bryan can ever disappoint anyone. That match was amazing. Like Bryan's claim of controversy at the end where he believed he made Punk tap, not knowing Punk got the three count just before.
Ryback squash match.....yeah, we get it, he can beat the crap out of people. Again, another undefeated streak I don't give a crap about.
Cena/Laurinaitis I actually enjoyed. Yeah, I knew it wasn't going to be a classic, but the things Cena did to him were entertaining. Only thing I was disappointed about was the ending. Show's turn was predictable to me. It didn't have an impact at all.
All in all, an enjoyable pay-per-view with a few matches that could of been left off (Clay's and Ryback's. Seriously, we don't need them at every pay-per-view).

Finally got a chance to watch some of this. I enjoyed the Battle Royal. Seeing Christian win was pretty cool and now being IC champ is even cooler. Welcome back. The Fatal 4 Way was entertaining. The last couple of minutes of the match were pretty exciting. Thought Jericho was going to pull it off after getting both ADR and Sheamus in the Walls of Jericho but alas not meant to be. The Punk/Bryan match was awesome. A little slow paced but highly technical. It was a joy to watch. I really hope they hype this feud. Cena/Ace was humorous for a few minutes with a very predictable ending. I skipped some of the other matches but overall a good PPV.
