In the words of the reverse Bobby Lashley: YES. Or, in the words of Daniel Bryan. Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

Yeah, get rid of it. People can just get the figure the first time around. It's always a bunch of Cena's and Kofi Kingstons anyways.

I dont see mattel stopping with this because it is a cheaper way for them to get more figures on the shelves as they just repackage old figures basically, as opposed to releasing more new figures.

Pretty much. It's annoying for us because it takes the place of a new series on store shelves, but for Mattel it is just a cheap way to sell figures they can move. I don't have a huge problem with it honestly. I know I grabbed another Sheamus for the belt, and the purple Cena in those Best of sets. I thought it was cool what they did with Santino in the recent Basic set as well. I just think they need to be more conscious of the number of Orton and Cena figures they have out at one time (Elites, Basic, Rumblers, etc.).

I'm kind of up in the air on that question. They are neat figures and I've been able to find a few I wanted but at the same time my TRU never has the Basic Line and always has the Best of line. I would like to find Vickie and Brodus but my TRU has never had them.

I would imagine retailers asked for something like this to be made so I doubt Mattel would discontinue the line.

You'd think it would make more sense for them to re-release the figures that were in the most demand, like E11 Punk, for instanse.

I think that the concept isn't bad, but Mattel needs to pick out which were the best figures, and not the best Superstars.
I don't know if repaints would help either since the Signature Series are repaints (Please correct me if I am wrong, I don't pay much attention to basics) and those just clog up shelves and prevent newer basic sets from being ordered. I don't collect basics, but I do collect Diva's and the last set that had a diva was 13 and I still ended up getting Vickie Guerrero on ebay. I have yet to see the series that has Brodus or Layla. The Signature Series has got to go.

I'm not a big fan of them, but at least they don't have an awkward leg stamp on them like in the Jakks days...

For the love of God, YES!!!!!!! They need to get rid of the Signature Series as well. My TRU is currently loaded with both.

I like the idea of the Best of line, but what they should do (Or should I say it would be a nice jesture if they could) is if for the Best of Line Mattel would have a poll where they could say the Best of line will have the one Cena/Orton/Rey figure needed by retail and we the fans who could vote on the rest of the lineup and decide who we thought were the best Basics/Elites from the past year. But unlike the Legends poll make it a 1 time vote per person each.

But it also seems like a good way for them to clog the pegs with stuff nobody wants and help killing off the line...

I have no problem with them. They come out right before Christmas and they're mostly there for parents to buy their kids for Christmas.

I don't like them and have had no need to purchase any of them. They should have never been a thought in the first place.
