Who cares. Sorry but Goldust does not ever wrestle anyways even when he is on the roster. They use him like once a year to get involved in a special episode of Raw or Smackdown and thats it. The guy has been wrestling for at least 25 years. Im sure he could care less leaving now considering having that much time in the business and not even being used as is.
UPDATE: That article says Goldust WAS indeed in charge of setting up matches and he had Young and O Neal do a double power bomb, leaving Tatsu injured. So to me, Goldust had total control over writting that match up and considering dangerous moves like that are never used (esp from rookies), Goldust should get canned. He knew the boundaries of the business.

If that is the sole reason GD got fired....its  ing BS. What I see is a sloppy Darren Young coming off the ropes and Tatsu not bumping safely. He overcompensated and panicked when Darren ed up the leap. Why not fire Darren Young? Seriously....Chocholate Cena is worthless. How is it that GD is responsible for sloppiness and bad bumping? |

Wanting an experienced veteran that was one of the better workers in the business to be fired because he has been around too long, or because he "needs to make room for new talent" is ridiculous. Especially considering the crappyness of the younger talent coming into the business and into the WWE green as can be, a guy like Goldust showing them the ropes is extremely beneficial.
I think his demons are what got him fired. Addiction is a lifelong thing, it does not just go away once you're rehired, or older.
