I have collected the entire rocky series from jakks, but have seen tons of conflicting reports of the clubber lang in blue trunks. can any one help me figure it out? heres what I have seen over the past efw months:
- clubber in the blue trunks was planned as a regular release, but changed to his street attire since a black trunks lang had already been in production.
- a forum I visited in December seems to be the most viable. The member posted a pic of the rocky/lang 2 pack that came out in the UK and the lang in the box had the blue trunks. a few other members confirmed the story as another posted a pic of the belt 2 pack with a blue lang, but also posted they had another that came with the black trunks. another pic was posted.
- finally on a third forum a jakks employee on the legal team at the time of the rocky line commented that the blue trunks lang was to be an online store exclusive. This was then changed to the rocky/thunderlips 2 pack. Some Clubber Lang's in blue trunks were released with the UK 2 pack belt (confirms above; says only 200 were released with the blue Lang) and some other lang's in the box have made their way to ebay and other sites as they were never released, but leaked on to the market. (I have emailed this gentleman before; very nice, helpful, and knows a lot about the line obviously).
my question is for those few of you I have seen on here that have a not custom, but real Lang with blue trunks how did you get it? I'm very interested in getting a Lang with blue trunks (will settle for custom painted if any one can tell me where to go for one).
The closest I came was an ebay posting in February, but as quickly as the auction went up it came down and I have seen postings that the seller was a fraudulent seller.

Never knew about a blue trunks Clubber Lang. It could have been a prototype. I have the Street Gear Clubber Lang. And today is Mr. T's 60th birthday.

Never knew about a blue trunks Clubber Lang. It could have been a prototype. I have the Street Gear Clubber Lang. And today is Mr. T's 60th birthday. yeah I had never seen it either until that pic was posted. I wish I had saved the pic. Didnt think, if this guy had one, it would be so hard to find either on ebay at some point or at least find another pic of the figure online somewhere. I think I remember a member here saying he had one also but cannot recall whom it was. I have read reports that one of the next 2 series that were canned before the prototype process began had a "best of" blue trunks clubber lang so I wonder if they started producing the blue trunks, figured the black trunks were better, and figured theyd release it later on and just never got the chance, but I could never confirm that he was to be part of the set. |

I got lucky when finding the clubber lang's I have. found them both (street gear and ring gear) in an ebay lot for under $60.

I bought my street gear Clubber from the MGM store back in 2009 for $15 or $20.

KB had them 2/$5 so I bought 3 of each the ring from rocky I and the ring from rocky III. never saw the real scale ring in stores. just got some stuff from the MGM store actually for rocky and I spent over $25 so they sent me a free thunderlips. I already had a MOC one but its cool to be able to open one up now. |

You were able to beat the scalper sites with their terrific sales. I got most of my Rocky figures there. KB was the only place you could find them for some reason. |

You were able to beat the scalper sites with their terrific sales. I got most of my Rocky figures there. KB was the only place you could find them for some reason. I found a few figures last Christmas time at a TRU express in my local mall. It used to be a KB toys and when they went out TRU express took over and have been there since. Every holiday season they just put out whatever they can fit from the back and mark it down. I was able to get the referee, larry merchant, and spider rico all for $3 each. the BIG find was they had a Frank Stallone with jacket in their $3 clearance bin. I cant find a frank stallone for less than $25 on ebay and most of them now are up to $50. I asked the guy if they had more but he said with the rockys and wwe figures they put out all the old stock they had in the back. |

Yep that's the one the uk showed from his 2 pack. The rocky III ring shows the blue clubber prototype also so they are definately out there. How did you find yours? Also where is a good place to get customs? I think I remember seeing you have a few.
