Summerslam 2002.
I honestly had no idea what we would get out of HBK due to his back.
What we got in 2002 was a better HBK than we ever saw in 1996.

I went other...the Raw where they pulled one over on Sarge and had a fluke match for the European title...Still one of the funniest things Ive seen

I went with the Raw Dec. 29th 2003 match. It was so good, and it was one of the few matches in that era that kept me on the edge of my seat. To see HBK pin Triple H and the fans believe he won the World Title, only to have it stay with Hunter since both their shoulders were down, was pretty classic stuff.

This one is really underrated.
Seriously though, I gotta go with the 3 Stages of Hell Match. When I was a kid, I got pissed after Triple H won the title back. I didnt understand why his reign had to be so short. But the match was fantastic.

great thread. Summerslam 2002 for me.why? 1)it was an excellent match....raw with drama 2)HBK actually effin won the match.something that would be a rarity 2nd would be RR2004.....that was an epic matchup too.......and I loved their exchange at the end of the 1st EC.awesome  in sauce. |

I'd put this rivalry in the top 3 after Austin/Rock and Austin/McMahon.
The match at SS 02 is my favorite as well. HBK pulling off a performance like that after such a long absence was nothing short of amazing.
The last man standing is my 2nd favorite with the HIAC not too far behind.

I persoanlly enjoyed the 3 stages of hell match the most.
The hell in a cell at bad blood was good, but seemed to drag on a little bit. Definitely a close second though.

They had a match at Tribute to the Troops (05?) too.
Summerslam 02 was good, but I think I like the Three Stages of Hell better. Royal Rumble 04 was a good one too.

I haven't seen Three Stages Of Hell or Taboo Tuesday yet so I won't vote, but for what I have seen I'll probably go with their match on Raw. Though you really can't go wrong with any of them in my opinion.

The poll should have been for HHH & HBK's greatest match besides SummerSlam 02.
I have to watch every other match listed before I can answer that, since each one was great in its out right.

Their match on Raw. I remember the crowd was crazy and just an amazing match. HHH had just taken the world title from Goldberg and fans desperatly wanted someone like HBK to just beat the crap out of him. The ending was BS but besides that the match was perfect.
Their SummerSlam and Royal Rumble matches were also 4-4.5/5 star matches.
Armageddon was okay but seemed to be missing something that the SummerSlam match had. That and the fact we knew HHH was going to win.
Their HIAC match was crap. Boring, slow paced, and just didn't feel like they took full advantage of being inside the cell. It seemed more like they had a normal hardcore match that just happened to be inside a cell.
And the less said about Taboo Tuesday the better. Cool to see HBK fight against the odds but on one knee the match just never got going.

I voted for Last Man Standing at RR '04, only because the SS '02 is so amazing for all reasons stated, but this one proved they could do just as good over a year and a half on from that match.
Brilliant finish, too/
