Maybe he is coming back full time in early 2013 but will do things here and there like the 1000 raw or summer slam. I doubt that but i know what you mean, Rock will be back on the 1000th Raw, Probably SS and then be back during WM season. I wouldn't mind seeing one last official Rock run full time/part time for about a year or just 6 months atleast, Including matches on PPV, Raw, His 1st SD appearance in nearly a decade and 1 more WWE and World Title reigns.

You just have to enjoy what you get. He didn't have to come back at all. We're getting to see a few more big matches, and absense makes the heart grow fonder as they say. Him showing up for a couple of big angles is better than him showing up week in, week out and becoming abit stale. Makes the moments The Rock does show up easier to look forward to/more supprising when they happen. Perhaps it's just me, but I'd rather have no Rock than a Rock that appears two or three times a year. Rock only appeared twice?.... I think you have him mixed up with Undertaker. :/

Who even cares about Rock anymore? Well, you did click into a thread titled: "Rock reveals his return time" but I guess you just did that to avoid whatever date was revealed right?

Everything this guy says just really infuriates me these days, Stays away for 7 years, headlines wrestlemania, "I'm back, and I'm not gonna go away" has 2 matches, then goes away for the best part of a year. comes back, and (looks like) in the main event of wrestlemania again for the wwe title.[/quote this x1000.

why would anyone want Rock to win the Royal Rumble??? He's wrestled 2 matches in 8 years. The Royal Rumble is a HUGE match that should be used to elevate one of the big stars in the company to a main event at 'Mania....hence why Sheamus won this year.
Rock coming back and winning the rumble would be a damn waste of a match.
Anyway...it's about what I expected, we got our nice little return, he got to put over Cena....oh wait....they are probably delaying his return because GI Joe got pushed back

Even Sheamus was already an established main eventer when he won. Of the top of my head Yokozuna and Alberto Del Rio were the only up and comers when they won the rumble. And Shawn Michaels win in 95 pushed him from mid card to main eventer.

Personally, I'd love to see Jericho return after his suspension and beat Orton at MITB, then consecutively call out Rock and challenge him to a match at Summerslam. The two could maybe even have a backstage segment or in-ring confrontation on the 1,000th RAW after highlights of Jericho's original debut is shown where the two went back and forth on the mic. Then, Rock doesn't respond after that episode and Jericho goes on to say that Rock is afraid week after week, etc. Finally, a week or two before the show, have Rock appear either live or via satellite randomly and say he is tired of hearing Jericho bad mouth him and he will be at Summerslam to beat Jericho. It could be an easy build because they already have history and Jericho could be the main mouth piece to carry it while Rock is filming.
People can say what they want, but Rock draws, as seen in the WM buyrates (record-setting), and this could be an easy way for him to make an appearance to two, have a match and stay relevant all the same. Plus, Jericho and Rock would deliver a hell of a match. After Summerslam, both could go back to doing their other ventures (film and music) until next year.

I don't care about The Rock or Brock Lesnar. I hope they stay away.

Rock winning the Rumble and then fighting for the belt at Mania? can definitely see that happening.

Can possibly seeing him being #30 and winning the Rumble and facing whoever is the champ. Absolutely, and it wouldn't surprise me if the WWE Champion is John Cena by/after the Royal Rumble. I think this is where Cena gets his win in a rubber match between the two at 'Mania, that way the door will always be open for a third and final encounter somewhere down the road.

Benoit was already a well established superstar, yeah Rey is one, but the circumstances are unique because he recieved a push in honour of Eddie.

The idea of him winning the Royal Rumble turns my stomach.

I think he'll win the Rumble and probably face Lesnar at WM 29.

Just to play devil's advocate...
If Hulk Hogan was 15-16 years younger {would put him at 42-43 years old} and was doing what the Rock is currently doing, would it be fair to say that a large majority would not be defending Hogan like they do with the Rock and would instead blast/crucify him with comments saying "Hogan is hogging the spotlight and holding the younger guys down"?

I really hate the idea of The Rock being involved in the WWE title match at Mania or winning the Rumble. I might forgive it if Dolph is the champion and I get Dolph vs Rock at Mania, but I think that match works better without the title on the line. And no, you're never going to hear me stop talking about that match. I'm dreamin' and I'm dreamin' strong!
