$55M opening weekend for a movie that reportedly cost $375M to make? Sounds like a flop. The budget was $215M Though after marketing it could be pretty close to the $375M mark. Either way, I think they'll get it back. They may not do much better than that, but still. Especially if you consider that the MIB movies play better overseas. Currently over $200 million worldwide.. www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=mib3.htm

Yep, sadly, it has happened. I hope you didn't expect Avengers to be the number one movie for the rest of time.

I saw both of them this weekend. MIB 3 was better. Avengers was basically Iron Man 3.
I expected Avengers to be good.....wasn't sure bout Men in Black. But it was great

I've heard good things from everyone who has seen MIB so far. Even a random stranger lady who I didn't even ask about the flick told me it was good today at the pool. Most people are on their 2nd or more showing of Avengers at this point I would guess. I saw Avengers again on Monday with my parents. I won't see MIB though until DVD. I really just don't care about the series but apparently the story is pretty good this time around.
