Can I make a head-swap between any Basic figure and any Elite figure? If so, is it difficult to do? And which is the easiest and fastest way to do it? Thanks

I only buy Elite, but I assume there's no diff between basic/elite heads. When I need to swap a head or joint I microwave some water, then put the fig in the water, let it sit for about 20-30 seconds then I just pop off the head from the body. The heads usually easily pop off. Hope this helps.

And then is it easy to pop it on again?

yea man, it's very easy. Microwave some water. (I do 1-2min) Put fig in water. Let sit about 20-30 seconds. Head should pop off with little to no resistance. (Rubber expands due to the heat) Swap heads. Dry fig. Enjoy.

You could also use a hairdryer. Just heat the head up for about a 30 seconds to a minute and it'll pop right off.

Yeah they work, all you do is heat it for a few mins and pop it off and back on.

I use the hot water technique. And I swap Elite & Basic heads all the time. It's so easy to do.

30 seconds is a little to short to leave your fig sitting in the hot water. You should actually let it sit in the hot water for 80-90 seconds counts like "1 Mississippi 2 Mississippi etc" the hotter the parts get the easier they will pop off with less chance of breaking anything but yes, basic heads and elites are one in the same you can swap those with either or. Only parts you cant swap are Basic boots and elite boots (vica versa), Basic legs and elite legs (vica versa), and i believe basic torso's and elite torso's (vica versa). Arms, and heads are totally transferable with each other. Just get them really hot like i said for 80-90 secs, then pop them right off. Its a piece of cake.

Be careful with figures with long hair, though. Don't soak the figures that have a separately glued on hair piece for as long, and be careful where you grip the head when pulling it off the peg. I had an Elite 4 John Morrison that I was doing a headswap on and the when the glue heated up it pulled a little bit away from the head. It's the same principle that the torso cracking involves of heating the glue until it is soft. So definitely only do 20-30 seconds if the hair is a separate piece.

I have never used any heat or water method. I just place my thumb under the chin and push. They pop right off. I do this all the time with Mattel and Jakks figures.
