If there was one moment in history that you wish you could change what would it be? It can be anything. A match, the outcome of a match, a debut, whatever.
Mine would have to be the Steve Austin/Shawn Michaels match from Wrestlemania 14. Now it's not because I didn't like the outcome of the match or that I didn't enjoy the match. It's the fact that Shawn was darn near crippled already. I would change that fact and have him be able to go another 20-25 minutes. I believe the 2 of them could have told a great story that night had Shawn been healthy enough to do so. They could have went for 35-40 minutes having a great back and forth and then they(as usual in those matches) knock the ref down with a super kick then DX runs down and Tyson stops them from interfering. Shawn sees this and gets pissed at Tyson and does the whole grab the shoulder and turn them around move and he clocks HBK with a right hand and knocks him into a Stone Cold Stunner and Austin gets the pinfall with Tyson counting.
But of course that's all wishful thinking. Circumstances being what they were though they had a pretty good match.

I'd have put Rock over Austin clean at WM X-7.

Have the Hogan-Flair match at WM 8 go on as scheduled. Flair would win, and Hulk would go make his movies.

I would change time so Piper was a heel and in the match with Hogan at the SMN where he lost the belt to Andre. Hogan would be ready to hit the leg drop when DiBiase and Andre cost Hogan the belt making Piper the WWF Champion going into Wrestlemania. Of course that would lead to an interesting angle involving Hogan and Savage against Andre, DiBiase with Piper stirring the pot.

The moment Jim Crockett thought it was a good idea to travel out of the "safe zone" (Greensboro, Atlanta, Tampa etc) and do shows in WWF Territory (Chicago, Cleveland etc)

Vince giving Owen the Blue Blazer gimmick back in 1999. I came into this thread with a bunch of different answers but I'd have to go with this just because it basically would've saved a man's life.

Have somebody talk sense into Bret and Vince in 1997 to keep Bret in WWF.
This would prevent Montreal Screwjob, Bret's concussions/stroke, most likely Owen's death and Davey Boy's back injury and drug problem which led to his death.
Bottom Line: Keep Bret in WWF to prevent disaster.

Vince giving Owen the Blue Blazer gimmick back in 1999. I would have brought Neidhart back to team with Owen and revive the Hart Foundation when Bulldog was able to return from his injury.

I'd love to have had Elizabeth screw over Hogan at WrestleMania 5. Have her aligned with Savage the whole time. They could have really extended the feud a few more months with a swerve like that. Think it would have made for some great TV. Plus it would have given Savage that one victory over Hogan.
But that might be a selfish answer. Cause you could always go back and have Eddie checked out and maybe that could have saved his life. Which in turn, may have stopped the whole Benoit incident. It's been discussed that Chris just wasn't the same after Eddie died. So in one fail swoop you could potentially save four lives.

I would make Steve Austin counter Owen Hart's tombstone piledriver at Summerslam 1997
I would make The Scorpion King a massive box office flop so The Rock never becomes a moviestar

1)Vince wouldnt make Owen go to the rafters at OTE 2)Vince would keep his cretin daughter away from creative 3)Austin would NOT have turned heel during the Invasion story 4)Flair and The Steiners would have been part of the Invasion-all were possible
Bret leaving was essential to the boom of WWF.we wouldnt have had the excellent Mr McMahon character without his departure.hell even Vince thought he was gonna be viewed as the sympathetic character in it all.....it took him weeks to accept his heel role.

I'd have stopped Brock Lesnar leaving the WWE in 2004.

Sting goes over Hollywood Hogan cleanly at Starcade, kills the NWO. WCW forced to create new storylines, and use younger talent. Just think how differently the next 10-15 years may have played out if that happened.

Bottom Line: Keep Bret in WWF to prevent disaster. It'd also prevent the birth of the Mr McMahon character and the attitude era. The WWF would have gone out of business by 1999, WCW would have still died by about 2003, there would be no wrestling industry anymore. Every former wrestler would either be dead or wandering around in a crackhead daze right now. Careful what you wish for.

Tough one for me, all the matches and outcomes that annoyed me like Cena winning at Mania 22 and 23 dont compare to deaths in wrestling.
I started watching after the Owen incident so I didnt really have a connection with him like I did Eddie and Benoit, Benoit is still my all time favourite wrestler. weighing it up though, like marino13 said, Eddies death could have led to Benoits. So I'd go with preventing Eddies death, and hopefully Benoits.
