Been a shocking few days. England winning 3-2, Greece going through and who would have thought Holland would go out with no points at the start of the tournument. I also thought Russia and Poland would go through group A but I was wrong. Russia looked class in thier first game then sucked in the others. Sat's night match was awful, they kept doing short corners that ever worked and shot from distance. Eng looked weak in defense but Walcott was fantastic, and Welbeck's backheel was brilliant. Both Carroll and Johnson suprised me, didn't see them doing much before it started but they both played well.

Croatia were unlucky, they were good this tourney and matched Spain. Ireland should go home ashamed, they sucked.

Uefa should be ashamed. Croatia should have won with 2 penalties that the ref ignored!
And yesterday germany should have go home if the ref had seen the penalty for Denmark...
Coincidence: germany game had a spanish ref and spain game had a german ref...

It's going to be pretty hard for Ukraine tonight. England looks like a good team, Rooney can play now, but i really hope England's defence going to be bad, and that our forwards play well. All of you can say it's going to be easy, but the WHOLE COUNTRY is pumped up for this match, like everywhere in the internet,tv,radio everyone is showing that he is a fan of Ukraine, and i really hope it can motivate our team and lead it to the WIN!! Go Ukraine!

Spain didn't play as well as good as I thought they would. I can't see them winning it this year. Think the subs need re-thinking, he took off Torres making Silva the centre forward. Then when he went to play Fab, so that he has both Silva and Fab on together he took off Silva. To make matters worse he finally brought on a striker after they went one up. Croatia were good though but it was always going to be tough getting out od a group with Spain and Italy.

Spain need to up their game, I think they completely underestimated Croatia. Glad Italy got through.
That one BBC commentator is absolutely shocking, kept calling David Silva by David Villa and I've noticed in 2 games he's credited Italy's goal v. Spain to Antonio Cassano when it was Di Natale that scored it... Amateur.

Gonna be a tough game today. I think we should win but it won't be easy. I think Spain and Italy are fairly even, and just getting to the quarters is as good as we could expect, so doesn't really matter if we come first or second. If we come second I honestly believe we could beat Spain and then Portugal (but not Germany in the final), although I don't expect us to.

It's usually the second commentators that point out the bleeding obvious or just stuff that isn't relevant.

England need to win the game today, or we will facing to Spain at the next round (only if we're draw).
England must not lost the game, or we're going to home. I believe England will win today by 1-0 or 2-0.
In my theory, England's defenders need to work out. As last friday, England's defenders seems let Sweden hold the balls at pentley area, where they should tackle the ball off from them.

Another game for Uefa to be ashamed of...They get a ref just to see if the ball has crossed the line and still this goal isnt allowed? Platini should call Vince and asked how to run a scripted shows company because that's what Uefa is today...

Platini should call Vince and asked how to run a scripted shows company because that's what Uefa is today... Goal line technology has to be brought in. I know they trialled it recently so there's hope that teams can't get away with unfair results anymore. England would've still gone through but it should've been a draw. What happens when a champions league final is decided by a dodgy decision over a goal? It could rob a team of a lot of prize money as well as a trophy.

Not sure about that...Ukraine would have a crazy crowd behind them with still a lot of time left...

I was watching the France game so don't know what minute Ukraine's non-goal went in. Just saw the highlight afterwards. England probably won't get lucky again, not with Italy up next and if they somehow come through that then Germany will shoot them down.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if England beat Italy without too many issues. I think Italy like us have an underwhelming side in transition, but I honestly think our defence, midfield and attack are all just about stronger. Get Carroll starting with Rooney, also, don't think Young should start, I don't think he's been good enough recently. Think our defence has been great. Apart from Johnson-seriously, he's known for going up the pitch, but when does anything ever result from that...? I'm probably wrong but whatever.

We did enough tonight, but we got lucky with that Terry clearence; pretty sure it crossed the line. I think we should be able to beat Italy, but thats as far as it goes. Germany would hammer us.

Really? Really? Ref standing close to the goal and say goal isn't in? Man... I really hope this ref goes judging to the end of his life some local matches in the country where no one cares about football.. If it was 1-1, we could at least made you some more trouble and England would face Spain, but... There would be no 1-1, we would win this.. I mean really, the crowd saw the replays on the big screens, why not show it to ref? ;/
Here's the goal...

I'm still against goalline tech (have been when its worked for my team or against them), and vehemently against video replays. I didn't watch the game, but from what I've heard there was an offside missed before the goalline incident anyway?
I think we could beat Italy, and it will be tight, but I think they'll probably just edge it. Reaching the QFs was all anyone expected so anything better is a bonus really. If we did get to the semis we would lose to Germany comfortably.

Haven't a clue what those blokes with the wands on the goal line are paid to stand there for if he couldn't see that that ball was over the line, but I'll take it anyway. Another poor performance but the result that mattered. Think we have a good chance of beating Italy if we keep it tight and cut out any mistakes.
