I was gonna say that too, but this is exactly how I felt when I saw the Wii... The only difference is I'm happy that Nintendo is fully embracing online. I hope they show Smash Bros...

Nintendo looked like a joke at this E3. I can't believe that this is what they have in store for everyone.

Seemed like a lackluster E3 this year...

I was actually pretty impressed with Sony after several years of not being impressed by them.
Nintendo was actually worse than I imagined, which is saying something. That system looks like a joke compared to the current generation of systems, and will get left in the dust when the newer consoles launch.
Microsoft was a little underwhelming. I liked Halo, but not a lot of exclusives that interest me and too much Kinect crap.
But the days of HUGE shocking announcements at E3 are likely over, and have been for a while.

Overall this honestly was the first E3 in a while where I felt like everything was lackluster.
I mean chances are, I may be sold on the Wii U. But I just wish I saw more out of Nintendo today. They spent time on things where they really didn't need too. I mean of course there's going to be another Wii Fit, and it's going to make money. But they spent a lot of time on that, and nothing looked different besides the two screen gameplay. Same thing with third party support, they spent a lot of time with Arkham City, when practically everyone knows what they're getting due to it already being out for a year. ZombiU has interested me from the time I saw the trailer at the Ubisoft conference, that's something I look forward too. New Super Mario Bros. U was expected, And looks pretty damn gorgeous. But I wasnt expecting a 3D adventure Mario just yet. Project P-100 which is something that they showed after the show looks damn good, and something they probably should have found time for. The Miiverse was something I enjoyed from the time they showed it during the Nintendo Direct show. Also too many people expected Smash Bros or Zelda. Smash only began development after Uprising came out, so of course they wouldn't have anything to show. And the Zelda they showed last year was just an HD Twilight Princess tech demo.
The 3DS isn't really spotlighted until tomorrow, but that was still a little of the same. Besides NSMB 2 having actual footage, and Luigi's Mansion 2 ditching the sequel name, and just going with a subtitle. I don't know, I think we were all expecting the "Oh yeah, and one more thing." towards the end of the show, and it didn't happen. All I ask for is just STRONG third party support, and the good first party titles that Nintendo usually cranks out. I think they're banking too much on Nintendoland as well, for something that's pretty much a new Wii Sports. I don't know, this year's E3 just felt underwhelming as a whole. The only show that I can honestly say that stood out to me, was Ubisoft. ZombiU and Watch Dogs impressed the hell out of me, and completely stood out.

I wasn't impressed with the Wii U. I will wait until they bring out some games I want. Pikmin 3 interests me but not enough to buy a system over. I think next years E3 will be better with the remaining two next-gen systems being shown.

I put up a big post, bullet listing most of the major announcements on my website. Been working on and off with this all day, so if you want to read a lot of what happened all in one place, here you go: www.living-vicariously.net/2012/06/e3-2012-coverage.htmlI'll probably extend it tomorrow with all the show floor stuff I missed - such an awesomely hectic day!

Gears Judgment Dead Space 3 Dishonored BioShock: Infinite Fall of Cybertron FIFA 13 South Park Assassin's Creed 3 LEGO LotR
Expensive late '12 to '13 for me.
My big reveal treat was Guardians of Middle Earth, made by the folks behind Gotham City Impostors (the best FPS that came out this year). It's basically going to be DotA mixed with LotR lore. Cannot...effin'...wait.

I want Microsoft to make their own version of Super Smash Brothers like Sony did.

I want Microsoft to make their own version of Super Smash Brothers like Sony did. Who'd be in it? Gears of War characters, Halo characters, Fable characters? a car from Forza? Not that I'm against the idea, but Xbox has the worst of the exclusive characters.

Blinx the cat Voodoo Vince They could probably get away with using Munch with the same logic as Parapa in PS All Stars Any Twisted Pixel character (Splosion Man or Gunstringer probably most likely) since MSFT owns them. Master Chief Marcus Fenix Fable Characters Any Rare characters they can use (Banjo, Kazooie, Conker, Kameo, Joanna Dark)

I'de throw in Commander Shepard too tbh since the franchise started off exclusive to Xbox.
There's also Alan Wake and the Crackdown agents plus I'm sure they probably own rights to a few characters that people have forgotten about.

Not to mention about 8 or so games I want this fall. It's a good thing I have all my Amazon credit since I already ordered them all with. The only downside is since they all release so close you can't find the time to play them.

I was very disappointed. I mean, I'm sold on the Wii U, but I'm obsessed with handhelds and even more obsessed with Animal Crossing. We got hardly any upcoming games for the 3DS and no news at all for AC. Not even a release date.
