Punk just wore his B18 gear last night againist Kane and i noticed there is a bunch of white detail around the yellow.
Anyone else notice this? Mattel seems to be cutting alot more corners than usual these days!

It's a Basic figure, not an Elite.

I noticed that too, lately they are cutting corners on almost all Punks because they know they can; they will sell regardless since after Elite 11 there was a long wait for the next lot of Punk figures.
With exception of Battle Packs Punk the rest of them have been rather plain especially the Punk vs Cena one.

I just saw Punk come out last night and had color all in his tattoos as well!! It's a Basic figure, not an Elite. The thing is though, the lack of tat detail is nothing new. But lack of detail on Gear is not something they came out of the gate doing. I've also noticed that Christians BP16 figure has red detail when it should have been orange and Kofi Kingston's shorts attires are being done as trunks! |

Unless they can retroactively make toys I think there could be a pretty solid chance of the attire being a different one, and even if it wasn't, paint apps cost money. It may not be a lot on one, but if you skip something small like the white trim on top of yellow on the entire run, you've just saved money.

It's similar colors but different placement. E11 = Night of Champions, E16 = MITB. E16 also features updated chest tattoo colors. |
