So here is my Wrestlefest collection thus far. I had to put the actual collecting aspect on hold for a number of reasons. Back in February money was fine! I made a major purchase (new camera and lenses), took my trip to Florida for Wrestlemania week in March/April (fantastic time), and then had a lot of other things come up...car repairs, getting screwed over on a lawsuit, and now sadly my girlfriend is unemployed. Hopefully by the end of the year I can continue but I got a good enough start to share here: The Ultimate Warrior Sgt. Slaughter The Million Dollar Man Ted DeBiase Custom Demolition Crush Earthquake Group Shot Demolition Smash and Demolition Crush I never really thought about how homoerotic the Demolition gear was until I bought these. As a kid you just saw badass scary dudes...had they shown up today, I would I have probably rolled my eyes at Vince trying to be controversial. Mean Gene Okerlund Anyway, that is pretty much it. I know I know - boo, hiss, there isn't much Mattel. Unfortunately I had to stop before I could add more. My next purchase was going to be the Elite 14 Bossman if I recall correctly.Anyway, hope some of you old timers enjoyed and if the mods feel this would be better suited in another forum, go ahead and move it. Thanks and happy collecting!

The arcade game is not the original cabinet (something I didn't realize until after it was delivered). It also isn't in the greatest of structural shape but I'll be damned if it isn't one of the coolest things I have ever bought/am proud to own. I posted the story of when I purchased it on another forum for those who are bored/interested:
TL;DR the dude wanted to sell Wrestlefest and an arcade version of Tetris for $250 as a set. I offered him $150 just for Wrestlefest and another $20 to help me move it which would have just barely covered gas making it a grand total of $170 (USD).

Honestly Demolition wasnt really homoerotic. They were capitalizing off Judas Priests look. Now they dressed that way because Rob Halford is hay, but that wasnt revealed until well towards the late 80s. Awesome setip and collection though.

Nice. Well done on that arcade deal. You'd be very lucky to find one of those with original casing in fair condition for around $1000-$1200. I would happily live without the original casing at $170!

Yeah. but very few people in Middle America, especially those watching wrestling really knew about the S&M world. And Halford didn't officially come out until early 1998, I remember watching that late at night on MTV while studying.

That is AWESOME. Spent so much money on Wrestlefest at the Arcades when I was a kid. I miss playing it. Tried the new Wrestlefest on the IPhone and just isn't the same. Great deal you got it for and love the figures you got to go with the characters in the game, That's a great idea. Sucks about the spider though. But awesome purchase nonetheless.

Very awesome! You got an incredible deal on the arcade cabinet. If the Tetris worked, you prob could've sold that one for a good $300 by itself.

Very cool, but that Street Fighter cabinet converted to Wrestlefest just looks fugly. You should definitely try and track down the original 4 player cabinet, you shouldn't have trouble finding one for $200 or so, that's what I paid for mine.

I'm okay with it Max. I am actually going to moving a few times in the next few years and don't plan on taking it with me each and every move so tracking down the original cabinet does not appeal to me at this time. Besides, I just barely talked my girlfriend into getting it as we share the office! That looks really really cool. Does the game still work? Absolutely! It works perfectly and is just as much fun/just as much of a challenge! Thank god for unlimited credits! Honestly Demolition wasnt really homoerotic. They were capitalizing off Judas Priests look. Now they dressed that way because Rob Halford is hay, but that wasnt revealed until well towards the late 80s. Awesome setip and collection though. Yeah. but very few people in Middle America, especially those watching wrestling really knew about the S&M world. And Halford didn't officially come out until early 1998, I remember watching that late at night on MTV while studying. Interesting. I never paid any attention to Judas Priest (no love or hate - I just wasn't really exposed to them) and had no idea that so much of their entrance gear was influenced by his style. I was under the impression that WWF were trying to create their own "Road Warriors" in the form of Demolition (and later the Powers of Pain) and had taken part of their look from the Lord Humongous character as seen in the Road Warrior film: For those who are unaware, Sid played the Lord Humongous character early in his career (not the one in the movie).

A good read, and a great deal on the WrestleFest. I had a chance to pick one up several years ago for dirt cheap myself. I wasn't able to make it happen, and I have always kicked myself in the ass for not getting it.
Your office rocks, man. And the severed hand is a nice touch, too.

Demolition is Ax and Smash. Not Crush.

Demolition's look was pulled almost directly from the Mad Max movies.
