Hey i dont know if i can post this hear, i didnt see another board for it other than video games but its not quite a game.

My fiance has a Nook from barnes and nobles and it worked fine, only a year old, never been dropped, or wet. The other day she pulled it out of the hutch and saw it was dead so she charged it. Later on it wouldnt turn on like it was still dead so she charged it for 2 full days. The battery now says its full, but when she turns it on all it says is:

"Touch the future of reading"

She called tech support and they ACTUALLY told her "your best bet would be to buy a new one." well we lookedi t up on google and it seems like a VERY common thing to happen. So i was wondering...

Has this ever happened to any of you?

If so, do you know of a way to reset it or maybe fix it?

Please let me know!!!! Thanks!

If it fails to boot properly X number of times it'll automatically re-image itself. I can't remember exactly how to do it. It's been years since I had one.

Take it to your nearest B&N. They can trouble shoot from there and call tech support themselves. If its still under warranty they may exchange it. I work at B&N. If you want, PM me and I can talk you through a couple of things before you take it to a store.
