So when are we just going to do away with the World Title? Hopefully never. They really should do a Punk (WWE) vs Bryan (WHC) Unification match that isnt scripted by some goof like Brian Gerwitz or some other schmuck that's never been in a wrestling ring...something that is a pure clinic in wrestling. Then whomever wins will be the Unified WWE World Heavyweight Champion and they use the Big Gold belt. Bryan would have to win for that to happen. |

Look back at when WCW unified the International (big goldd) belt and the WCW World title. Flair held the smaller globe belt but when he won he continued to use the Big Gold as the WCW Title. |

The Big Gold Belt isn't a McMahon creation, it would never take precedence over a WWE title.

The Big Gold Belt isn't a McMahon creation, it would never take precedence over a WWE title. and it SHOULDN'T yeah The BGB is a great title, great looking with great history but why would Vince want to put something that wasn't his over his own creation? that would be just stupid. vince didn't buy WCW because he wanted to honor the great history of it and the federations before it he bought it to make money and put and end to his competition to be honest we, as fans, are LUCKY that the BGB is still around. and the US title and Booker T. and that we get WCW footage on DVDs and they even talk about WCW Vince & the WWE do just enough to not let the old school fans forget history, but they aren't going to come out and be like "oh WCW was the greatest wrestling promotion ever!" that would be like McDonald's telling their customers to try the Whopper. |

Its a perfectly logical change and is more fitting. Though this year, really should have been just one match with 8 superstars or if you want to make it big, you could POSSIBLY stretch it to 10 but that would depend on if they can give the match enough time to do justice to each competitor. I reckon having 1 this year would have been better by making the match seem more valuable and also adding the constant suspense of not when they are going to cash in on but WHO. That was one of the biggest attractions of MITB is they could cash in on any world champion, nailing it down to one narrows it can takes away some of the appeal really.

Its obvious that its just a way to have guys from each brand, in both the WWE title, and WHC MITB matches. Show is in the Raw one, but a guy like Cody Rhodes could qualify fo it, win, still be on SD!, but be able to cash in on the WWE Champion on Raw. They probably felt there wasn't enough talent on on SD! to make an interesting MITB.

Fantastic. So now it's an all main eventer match, and instead of more young highfliers, we'll see more guys who look like they can barely climb a ladder. LIKE Big Show.
