Not that it matters as a character but he is a really cool dude. I got to sit and talk to him for a while before his initial WWE run and had a good time.

I love Tensai and I don't think it's the fact that the gimmick can't work with today's product, it's just that there has been really no reason to care about it. He's some bald white guy with Japanese symbols painted on him and speaks Japanese... Who cares? They should have given him a mouthpiece. After the Albert chants in his debut they should have had Sakamoto talk next week about some BS like how Tensai was Albert and he was disgraced out of America so he went to Japan to learn about honor and in his training he started to destroy people and realized it wasn't him who was disgraced but it was the Americans who had no sense of honor and now he's back to punish everyone for being dishonorable and throw in some crap about how he refuses to speak English because it disgusts him or something. I think that would have worked, the anti-American stuff always gets some heat and that would have made people care.

I don't mind Bloom one bit. For a big guy he sure can move. But the gimmick just wasn't right for him. I "get" that he went to Japan to train and returned tougher. But the whole get up and look was still better suited for a real Japanese wrestler.
