If someone said to you "hey I'm looking to get into watching wrestling can you recommend me 5 matches to watch" what would you tell them?
1. Ricky Steamboat vs Randy Savage- Wrestlemania 3- A great matchup that shows off the technical wrestling side of things and tells a good story
2. Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker- Hell In A Cell- A match that could show them how wide spread wrestling can be, from a technical matchup to a more physical harcore-esque style
3. TLC II- Wrestlemania 17- To show them that the pretty much mainly hardcore matches can be well done without a bunch of blood and nonsense
4. Bret Hart vs Bulldog- Summerslam 92- Same deal as Savage and Steamboat. An all time great match with a great story.
5. Steve Austin vs Bret Hart- Wrestlemania 13- One of the, if not the greatest match in history. A lot of the time I'm not the biggest fan of a ton of bloodshed but it added so much to that match and so much to the emotion that I don't think could have been portrayed without it. Easily one of my 5 favorite matches of all time. Again(this seems to be a mutual trait in these matches) this match tells a wonderful in ring story and really brings you into the ring so to speak, with the facial expressions of Austin.
I know someone will say that a new wrestling fan or whatever won't enjoy those type of matches but lets just say they will and they are open to all types of matches. What would you list for them?

1. Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect - King of the Ring 1993 2. Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker - Badd Blood - Hell in a Cell 3. Bret Hart vs. Diesel - Survivor Series 1995 4. Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker - Wrestlemania 25 5. Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin - Wrestlemania 13 Great list. It's nice to see some appreciation for the Bret/Perfect match from KOTR. 1. Bret Hart vs Mr Perfect - King Of The Ring 1993. Probably the greatest singles wrestling match of all time. 2. Canadian Stampede - 10 Man Tag.My personal favorite match. 3. Bret Hart vs Owen Hart - Wrestlemania 10.Amazing wrestling match, easily the best Wrestlemania match ever. 4. The Undertaker vs Diesel - Wrestlemania 12.To show two bigger guys wrestling a REALLY good and under rated match. I would have had Bret/Diesel from SS 95 but this was just so every match didn't have a Hart in it. 5. Orient Express vs The New Foundation - Royal Rumble 1992.My favourite tag team match of all time. So well worked, The New Foundation went through a long match with a mediocre tag team and it came out soo well. Bulldog vs Bret from IYH would have been my next pick. Followed by Billy Gunn vs Ken Shamrock from the Royal Rumble 1999.

Very hard to narrow down, but these are the ones that come to my mind, not only for the work rate in the match itself, but the storytelling that went on leading up to and in the match itself.
1. Hogan vs Andre WM 3- for historical signifigance. Seeing 93,000 people in an arena to see a wrestling event is amazing, and this match and event really pushed WWF into its zenith
2. Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker Hell in a Cell
3. Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker WM 25
4. Bret Hart vs Steve Austin WM 13
5. Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle WM
That 5th spot is the toughest. There are alot of matches I could put there. Honorable mentions would go to Savage vs Flair WM 8, Hogan vs Warrior WM 6, Michaels vs Flair Retirement Match, so many choices....

Triple H vs. Chris Jericho - Fully Loaded 2000
Personal favorite of mine.
Kurt Angle vs. Shane McMahon - King of the Ring 2001
The brutality these two take is amazing and proves what they're willing to do.
The Rock vs. Stone Cold - Wrestlemania X7
What hasn't been said about this match already, everyone should watch it at least once.
Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold - Wrestlemania 13
Macho Man vs. Ultimate Warrior - Wrestlemania 7

Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn Living Dangerously 99 Television Championship is my second favorite match of all-time, so that definitely. My favorite is Benoit vs. Angle at the Rumble 2003, so depending on the circumstances, that might not be the best match to show. I'd definitely show Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle WrestleMania 21, as it's my third favorite.
Probably the X-Seven triangle ladder match, to show some of the crazy spots that are taken. Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker Hell In A Cell because it's another favorite of mine. Not sure what my back up would be, as there's tons of great matches I missed, and I wouldn't to risk showing wrestling's other sides (though my list is already probably guilty of that).

I would want to cover a wide variety of Wrestling "types", to see what gets the person's attention the most, so...
Classic wrestling - Macho Man vs Hogan - WM VI
Indie wrestling - any davey richards vs eddy edwards match
Extreme wrestling - Sandman and tommy dreamer vs the dudleys - ONS 2005
Highflying wrestling - 20 Minute X-Divison Gauntlet match - Victory Road 2004
Modern Wrestling - SCSA vs The Rock - WM19
There ya go!

Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect from King of the Ring 1993 is my favorite match of all time. Yeah it's definately my favorite singles match. 1992 Royal Rumble match is a MUST WATCH Yes it's a really good rumble, in spite of it being very Ric Flair heavy.

1) Shawn Michaels vs. the Undertaker (Bad Blood 1997) Awesome match, and the debut of Kane just tops it off.
2) Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold (Wrestlemania 13) I think Bret can be a little overrated, but I really enjoyed this match and it's a classic.
3) TLC II (Wrestlemania 17) Fun, crazy, wild match. Also shows how insane some of these guys can go in the ring.
4) Any Rock/Austin or Rock/Triple H match All of these were great.
5) CM Punk vs. John Cena (Money in the Bank 2011) This was a great match and just a more current side of things.

Lots of great suggestions so far.
I dont want to repeat any so...
Piper vs. Bret at WM 8 Southern Boys vs. Midnight Express at WrestleWar 90 Flair and Austin vs. Steamboat and Sting from WCW Main Event '91 Vader vs. Flair Starcade '93 + the build up and interviews Dusty vs. Honky Tonk Man Summerslam 89 Dusty was arguably the #1 face from the NWA in the 80's and HTM was arguably the most hated heel in WWF in the '80's.
