The 2nd of July
WWE continues the march to 1,000 episodes of RAW and Money in the Bank tonight in Laredo, Texas, 11 years to the day that WCW took over RAW and Buff Bagwell vs. Booker T headlined in a WCW Title match. HHH was out with an injury this time 11-years-ago, but tonight, he looks to get himself a SummerSlam match with Brock Lesnar, the man who injured The Game months ago. Will Brock Lesnar finally accept the challenge made by HHH at No Way Out, or will Lesnar and Paul Heyman once again decide to continue on with their lawsuits instead?
AJ is still cray-cray. Before winning a Divas Battle Royal last week, she let Punk know that she would totally be cool with them taking things to the next level. Fast forward to Friday and while AJ was in the middle of a match with the Divas Champion Layla, Daniel Bryan gave her a taste of her own medicine by hopping around the ring chanting "YES". AJ lost the match, but was soon happy again as she was named the Guest Referee in the WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Daniel Bryan at Money in the Bank. Who could even try to guess what's next for AJ, Punk and Bryan?
Have you ever thought that a Money in the Bank ladder match should close out the MITB PPV? Yes? Well you're in luck, because John Cena's in one and the WWE Title hasn't main evented a PPV since December! John Cena (and Vickie Guerrero, sort of) announced that he would enter his first MITB ladder match, to both stop Big Show and to earn a shot at the WWE Championship he apparently cares about again. Also in the match will be Chris Jericho, fresh off a vacation of sorts, and Kane, who got AJ out of his life last week. With less than two weeks before the titans of RAW do battle, what will go down between them tonight? Will more former WWE Champions enter the match?
Also going on, the World Heavyweight Championship MITB will feature Damien Sandow, Tyson Kidd, Santino Marella, Christian and everyone's favorite, Tensai. More qualifying matches are scheduled for tomorrow's live SmackDown, which will also include a Battle Royal with lots of main eventers. Dolph Ziggler looks to recover from yet another loss to Sheamus on Friday, a past RAW wrestler returns to likely face The One Man Band and Teddy Long is in charge of RAW and SmackDown this week. Holla!
See and hear most or all of that live at 9pm/8c, only on USA Network.
