wrestling figure scalping isnt a problem in my area. The big scalpers and crazy collectors are hot wheels and any lines that have to do with DC & Marvel. Star Wars isnt even really scalped because there is so much of it and its constantly be restocked. Oh and Monster High is a HUGE thing in my area.

When the csda chainsaw charlie first came out i went to tru when they first opened and bought the only one they had. As i was at the checkout i seen the scalper buying Austin and big john studd. When basic 3 first came out i was looking for mickie james. I went to wal-mart everyday. One day i got there to late and the scalper bought the only one they had. The following weekend he said that it was not him that i saw it was his twin brother. Wait, so he is a scalper because he bought the last Mickie James, Austin and Studd they had? Doesn't that make you a scalper for buying the Chainsaw Charlier??? How do you know he was a scalper and not just buying them because he wanted them?

Distribution complaints from Star Wars collectors are far higher than any other line. Most of the figures on the pegs have been sitting their since the Phailed Phantam Menace in 3D was released and seen by 7 people. Restocks are nearly nonexistent, at least at my nearest 3 TRUs, 6 walmarts, 4 Targets, and 3 Kmarts. The Force is not with us.

Anyways, Mattel figures are tough to scalp since the distribution sucks so much on them. You can't buy figures to scalp if the stores never get them in and never stock the shelves. Plus, the market isn't that hot for a lot of figures. Diva's always sell well, as do debut figures, but it's tough to make a profit, especially since shipping on a MOC figure costs anywhere from $6 - $9 and Amazon only allots you you about $4 for shipping, so profits end up being almost non-existent.

I used to collect star wars when I was a kid and I kept everything MOC, I had stopped collecting once episode 2 hit theaters. Your right that a lot of the same stuff is always on the shelves. BUT I usually go to walmarts at night when they bring the toy cases out on the pallets and there is always star wars boxes, I dont know whats in them but thats what I meant as they are always stocking something that is star wars. They are prolly nothing highly sought after but its always something. The one thing I see constantly stocked more than any other toys on on the market is...Barbie. Its crazy, same barbie mold but with just different outfits all these years...hmmmm sounds like cena haha.

I would say that the Mattel WWE isn't scalped quite as much because the window of value is only within the first few weeks of release on most of the figures. You have to consider how oversaturated the market is with them. You can buy them almost anywhere. Seriously. But you couldn't get, say, Marvel Legends at Rite Aid, or Family Dollar, for instance. And superhero toys that aren't from a movie don't get ordered very often because stores have no faith in them anymore. And that's justifiable, kids don't really read comic books. They watch the movies and play the video games, but most comic book readers are 30 or older. So Avengers movie figures get half a damn aisle, and several pegs go for Arkham City toys, but the Marvel Legends get two pegs at most and are sporadically stocked, such as in the case of Target where one store in my area only got one case of each wave, while the other store never even put them in their set.
And that window of the wrestling figures being hot is usually pretty funny. When the first Ringside orders ship you'll see a few sales of the figures on Ebay at 50-100 dollars which is insane that people can't wait a little longer to save considerable money. Then they hit the stores and for the first few weeks they run about 30-40 dollars. And that's it, they are worthless to scalp. People right now are selling Big Bossman figures at a loss on Ebay. 25 bucks minus the Ebay fee, the Ebay shipping fee, and the PayPal fee + the time and money spent on gas for hunting equals no profit. So wrestling scalpers are a frustratingly dumb lot.

Wait, so he is a scalper because he bought the last Mickie James, Austin and Studd they had? Doesn't that make you a scalper for buying the Chainsaw Charlier??? How do you know he was a scalper and not just buying them because he wanted them? Because he had them in his flea market booth the next day. Why are you calling me a scalper? You hadn't but anything about him putting them in his booth so it sounded like you were just calling him a scalper for buying the good stuff so since you bought the last Chainsaw Charlie that would have made you a scalper by that logic. Now that I you have posted about seeing it the next day, I know what you were talking about.

also my local target I have a cousin that works there who is 2nd in command to store manager and she told me that they intentionally don't stock the shelves until the scalpers leave the store in the morning after they open. And the scalpers don't know that target is doing that so they don't come back and check till next stocking day.
